Honestly, I’ve never understood the puzzled frowns and raised eyebrows when people hear ‘20 years in one company.’ The surprise, shock, and sometimes even that subtle hint of disapproval-what’s that about? It’s as if sticking around and building something over decades is an alien concept now. I guess the generation has evolved-forgotten what it means to actually commit to something. They keep saying machines will replace humans, but let’s be real: at this rate, they’ll replace themselves because they’re bored of their job, company, and life every five years. If this trend keeps up, corporate life will max out at five years. Guess someone will still have to do the work while the rest are busy hopping around finding their next ‘passion,’ right?
I started the video with interest of watching. It stopped it as soon as he introduced himself as an AVP from 20 years of experience. I am a VP by just 10 years of experience. The guy spending 20 years on genpact isn’t a great achievement for anyone. Rather he simply degraded his skill set and chose to be a sycophant to his bosses. He should be ashamed of sitting as avp in same organisation for 20 years. Missing abilities to crack better role in better organisation. This was harsh but truth.
