Most of us know the standard formula for acoustic-electric guitars, but what about - as Taylor proudly describes it - an “electric-acoustic hybrid”? Between two humbuckers (one of which is hidden beneath the guitar’s figured maple top), a body sensor, and premier electronic voicing options, the T5z Pro delivers an unmatched marriage of acoustic and electric sonic sensibilities endorsed by many arena-sized acts, including Iron & Wine. If you’re looking to be swayed by the soothing sounds of the T5z Pro, Don Carr has things covered with the beautiful Grape Vine-finished hybrid guitar, available only at Sweetwater. Take a listen!

I want me a gf who will buy me one of these
Yes, great finish, very interested 🎶👍
Hey Sweetwater, at 02:19 I'm pretty sure that position 1 on the T5Z is all the way forwards (towards the top of the screen) and not towards the bottom as you have it annotated 🙂
Absolutely beautiful instrument, and so versatile.
I would also like to hear it: 1. without any effects; 2. mic' d without effects; and 3. unamplified. I don't know why but almost every guitar demo video uses some sort of effects. Sweetwater can add 2 more minutes to remedy this. Very nice jazz tone here, however.
I agree with the no effects (at all five positions) and the unamplified sound. I especially would love to hear what this sounds like in a room vs. a solid body electric and a big hollow body acoustic.
Totally agree.
I tried in shop, it sounds thin, not anything close to a good acoustic guitar. If you want a good acoustic sound, get an acoustic. If you are aiming at jazz or blues, there are archtop and semi-hollow guitar out there. Hybrid isn’t the way to go.
Beautiful. All very nice tones. Features! Great video too, thanks 🤘
They are great guitars
Good demo concise and to the point.
Man, nice playing - you sold me on it! Just pulled the trigger on one of those grape vines. I’m thinking it would be a great fit for my Duo gigs! I like how you can switch from the acoustic to electric sounds while playing. An acoustic with killer action and fast neck? Can’t wait, Tuesday won’t get here soon enough.
How are you liking it? I have had my mouse hovering over the “add to cart” button for about a week now…
I had a T5C custom that I bought used… I love that guitar. Wish I wouldn’t have sold that one. Unfortunately they don’t even make the T5 body anymore. 😢
Wow incredible
Always been a fan of the T5z guitars, I’d gig the heck outta that thing with two by my side (always have a backup by your side ;D)!
Great sounds coming from this Guitar and sweet playing, would have liked to have heard the neck humbucker with a little less treble and more Bass aka 'Jazz' sound but still sounded great
Nice.
Any word if Talyor will do a 12-string version of the Pro...? That would be my ultimate 12-string if so...
Idk kinda sounds like running an acoustic through a digit tech pedal from the 00’s on 10
I wonder if it would work for a giging guitar with an electric band?
Can you play the new T5z pro with & without power side by side comparison in the acoustic setting…. Please
I have one, and you definitely need to have it powered. It will not project the sound like a standard acoustic, but is ok for light practice unamplified.
$3300… I’d expect it to be pretty nice and hell ya I’d gig widdit.
I am not surprised how good this guitar sounds!!! It's a Taylor!!! That's all that needs to be said!!!
Keep drinking their kool-aid
@@rod2998 ooooh so edgy lol
Am I missing something? Feature wise there’s no difference to the standard line.
Nicer wood I think.
The knobs have been reworked and the tone woods are upgrades
Correct feature wise just woods upgrade and ergonomic changes
What does it sound like unplugged ??
It's called acoustic, yet not one UA-camr plays it acoustically !!
Everybody does the same presentation !!
Generic mind control !
Mmm.. it sounds like an electric guitar instead an electro-acoustic. It makes no sense, in that case Taylor shloud be doing electric guitars like Godin.
It's a great fill guitar for a singer that can play well. Flexible enough for a seasoned player to get acoustic sounds, but very capable for electric stuff too.
