So originally Nick Householder (co-host street science) and I built this car in 1 night. We were up until 4 in the morning getting it ready for the filming day. Couldn't have done it without him! Show him some love! instagram.com/nickhouseholder/ twitter.com/Nick_H_Engineer

"Art" is there either so art can steal from the STEM budget, or STEM can steal from the art budget.
Of course, it makes no sense. STEM came about because people noticed the Western world wasn't producing as many engineers as it used to, and a society needs engineers to make things. So they put forward educational initiatives to encourage kids to take it up, and inform kids who might become interested in an engineering career.
Art graduates are not something society needs more of. It's associated practical areas, advertising, commercial design, and media production, are not something we need more of.
