Great job guys! Loved the host, the interviewees, the footage, and the 'rebel' ATV riders. So cool- covers many aspects from the human historical, personal, geologic, and character.
I live in Pennsylvania and took a camping trip out to Centralia. We walked along the abandoned highway, onto the hills covered in trash and with smoke coming out of the ground. We then entered the town, visited the graveyard, and headed back, in the rain. On our way, while we were walking to centralia, a man and his wife smiled at me. At first I was like, ok they are tourists to. Upon further investigation, I came across the mans face in a documentary abut the town. Coolest, creepiest. and most fun trip I have taken yet. If I go back, I'll take my brother. GO TO CENTRALIA!
yeah you know why you are bullshitting? because for the public safety of people cops are dispatched if you are seen entering wondering the town without authorization for a couple of reasons #1 the town is actually private property the people that chose to stay there bought up the land the rest was purchased by the commonwealth of PA #2 its extremely dangerous cracks can open up and you can fall into pits of burning coal and kill you instantly also no one died there it was abandoned there's no reasons "ghosts" would be walking around
indeed I think you are the one full of bullshit......You will not be bothered by the police......It's a walk at your own risk......There are warning signs around the town about how the ground could open up under your feet. I have been there are many occasions and the police have NEVER came around!!!!!
indeed Yes "indeed" is full of it... I went to Centralia just back in Dec 13' and walked/drove all over that place taking pics of the old broken up highway and whats left of the streets. Saw one cop and he was parked by the cemetery catching speeders coming through the town... the place is free to roam as long as your not bothering the few residents there... and it IS kinda cool how the last remaining church there does kinda resemble the church from Silent Hill. It was winter so I saw no smoke coming from the ground... will have to go back when it's warmer. Cool place to explore!
Chris D Hey.....Looking to plan a trip for some time at the end of April beginning of May.....If you want to meet up let me know and I will see what I can do.
It is rather intriguing that people still call this town home. Reminds me of those unfortunate few that still live in Prypiat despite the dangers involved. Would love to explore mysterious and forgotten places in time such as these!
Wrong, yes the games, with the game that was released in 1999, then in 2006 came the movie: Silent Hill with Hadha Mitchel! I love these games and movies!
NICE presentation...was curious the USA government bought people out of their homes their ...have the people that stayed or the ones that live nearby ...are they having any health issues? Breathing , asthma, lung cancer?
Is this a short excerpt of a full show? If so, poor job. Doesn't go into how a small fire in the dump ignited the coal seam, and mismanagement at State level kept it going. Current expectations of life of the fire are not 50, but 300 years.
I filmed on the highway at night but the footage isn't that great, it was pitch black with exception to the flashlight I had. No ghost activity as far as I could see. the video is on my page but it's not all that thrilling, with exception to being a tiny girl and running into 3 guys at the end.
I suppose a professional outfit could, but the thing is, regardless of people still living there, it IS a dangerous place, and any dangerous place only becomes moreso at night when you can't see as well as you can during the day.
i would suspect, being located in PA and all, that there's a handful of bridges that have received little to no maintenance since 1977. i mean, there's bridges because it's PA, and no maintenance because of the fires.
@planetboy13 Yeah! I saw him too, but at first I thought it was just something in the background. Stupid shiternet making me watch stuff in low quality...
the church is probably a cover mark to seem like itsa normal abondoned building when in actuality it could have a base underneath it and we'd be non the wiser.

Excellent little doc.
I like that you had an expert with you and how you did interviews. Unlike other people who do you tube videos, this was done very well! Bravo!

I've been here before. I live in Aston, PA.
Nope. I have driven through Centralia a few times, and there IS smoke coming from the sides of the roads as you go pass.
NICE presentation...was curious the USA government bought people out of their homes their ...have the people that stayed or the ones that live nearby ...are they having any health issues? Breathing , asthma, lung cancer?

Could Rte. 61 in Centralia be Bob Dylan's "Highway 61 revisited"?
Been there a total of 4 times. The smoke is gone so it's not as cool as the old vids on youtube.
Makes me laugh seeing how awkward and out of place this dude is being out of an urban environment. Damn hipsters
This guy wears the same getup as the dude from #1, trendy
