Rain guards look fantastic, really like how they cover the whole a pillar. The car looks brilliant now, would be epic if every car could receive this treatment.
Insane the amount of work put into this. A clean car to begin with too, and still takes a ton of work to redo. Not even counting the hours of research, part number look up, part sourcing, etc... I enjoy the Skyline stuff, but was cool to see a non Skyline get the treatment. Hope to see more from time to time.
I work at a car plant. Parts for us don’t have a sticker on them when they come with the body. However if a part is damaged and needs to be replaced then we pull a part from the spare parts line that has part number stickers on them bc they also get sent out to body shops. (Hood gets dented on the line. It didn’t have a sticker. Replacement one we put on does). Maybe they do that too.
Your painter should have a paint suit on, he’s actually bringing in dust from his clothing. Especially using a black shirt, meaning black lint will fall on his red paint job. I know this, because I have done this mistake. Lol
I love the S chassis I have had my 180SX for 22yrs as a driver and still enjoy it and will never sell it such a sweet ride when done well is basically a drift car for the street with all the mods I have done and work meister S1 2pc rims.
@@peakperformance8960 I agree brother. We do it everyday lol. That’s why I was curious to see it finished. Sure it can be done but it’ll take a little time.
In my opinion the Kouki type x is the only Nissan that came almost perfect from factory. Most gangster oem aero kit, sr20det, cool interior. Stock they’re just so good 👌
I wonder how something with the name Illicet Imports doesn't even know the difference between a 180sx and a 240sx and was even told in the video it was a 180sx and still calls it a 240? You must not know imports very well !
I hope to see more s chassis restoration as well as other platforms. Maybe the EH7 300zx could be a vetting process cleaning up the jungle gym that is the vg30 engine bay
I know you are big R chassis guys, but this is an actual masterpiece and I look forward to the upcoming s chassis content. Fyeaspec is a godsend to any Nissan.
Great job! Coming from a place with heavy winters and salt, I wonder if and how you treat the drilled holes in body. Here the first winter would make it rust heavy without any treatment.
Nice build. It's not a type x though. The type x came with the specific aero and lights ect. Also even though the cover is black, it's the redtop engine. The blacktop has the little round bump at the front and the redtop does not
anyone know the rationale behind spraying the undercoating in the fender well after painting the body? Seems like it'd be much easier/less risky to do it first
@@JohnDoeC78 S13 is the chassis code, don’t start this argument with me bruh. 180/240sx/Silvia is the body style and S is the chassis code, a Silvia coupe and a 180/240sx hatch are all considered S13’s
its extremely satisfying watching a car get built like this in one complete video. So clean!
🤌🏽🤌🏽
Couldnt agree more
Right most people post it in parts while doing different projects too make up the time
You should check out BMW's video of the full assembly of their 320si (e90) wtcc race car. From chassis assembly/paint/engine build/on track.
Love watching the build clips with no background music, just hearing the work done and the tools. Super satisfying. Perfection as always 👌
this is truly art, everyone should build cars in this manner! Wow just wow
Inspiration
This looks crazy, the shops is ready to do a full restoration
In fairness, they've been ready but yeah. Lol
@@BradVicious you're right.
not sure what you're trying to say lmao
@@BELLEVERIC I think he said what he means. Lol

The taste and level of perfection is nothing short of amazing

very few build with such attention to detail, you and your team do amazing work.

Absolutely amazing job again, loving these start to finish restoration videos 👌
This is what I expected from a 180sx done by Tommy. Just clean 🔥

i think a lot of people have been waiting for this one
Damn that transition was clean. 👌🏼 09:08
God damn im in love with this thing, probably the coolest restoration to date
Body work kid deserves more credit even the masking was satisfying
Thing is rad. I wanna see the no filler on the patch panels lol
Looks like they might have just changed the hatch 9:05
@@Nick210 yeah kinda does
Yeah, it can be done but it’s VERY difficult. Most repairs need a tiny skim of filler (which isn’t a bad thing)

Best upload to UA-cam this year. Keep it real Tommy from a fan from the UK. Your the man
Body guy puttin in some hours!!! 👌
Agreed

Man that was an amazing video , as usual .. but you know !
You and your team killed it Tommy , keep it up.
The 240 is sooo Gangster!! Holy need this in my life! Bravo Tommy u have out done yourself again!!!
It’s no 240 sir
180sx

Love hearing tommy explain to the UA-cam mechanics what rain guards are designed for.
This thing is the definition of perfection
Such a sick job! Been watching/following your progress in life on UA-cam and it’s been great, keep up the awesome work everyone!
Those hidden editing transitions are fire
The amount of love in the comment section speaks volumes in so many ways..keep up the great work my guy
Only channel to execute this start to finish video without vearing to far off track !! Thanks Tommy !!
Fitting an OEM front lip? Super rare. Build looks killer 🔥
I hope to see more s chassis restoration as well as other platforms. Maybe the EH7 300zx could be a vetting process cleaning up the jungle gym that is the vg30 engine bay
This is the best video you’ve done imo
To the editor; great transition in that spoiler shot!!🎉
The quality of this video was impressive
The painting portion of this is pure ecstacy.
Nice that Tommy has changed his videos to doing a complete care in 1 video. I like them.
That is one good looking car who ever gets this is gonna be very lucky. Glad to see regular uploads coming from an og
I know you are big R chassis guys, but this is an actual masterpiece and I look forward to the upcoming s chassis content. Fyeaspec is a godsend to any Nissan.
This car is beautiful. It is amazing the work that your shop can do. You should get into the S chassis.
See I would rather wait and get this video's .this is entertainment watching a build
Single handedly correcting all the modifying wrongs youtube has witnessed to date 👌🙌🤙
The sounds of just tools and work is insane this is an amazing video and restoration I really hope to see more s chassis
This car is so tasteful. Bad ass build Tommy!
Wow the red hits different. Def worth the wait.
Damn the 180sx looks so good! I couldn’t give it away, definitely would be in my garage for life! ❤
bro i just picked up a usdm s13 hatch with type x aero and sr20 and this is amazing i love it
Fuckin sweet 180 Tommy it's an awesome car imo yall need to restore every kind of JDM car not just be a Skyline shop but a complete JDM shop !
Always good watching your shops work with some coffee in the morning.
The attention to detail is on another level. With that being said I would love to see you spice it up....supercharger....built stroked engines ect👻😁
You should bring back some of the old merch. That purple logo fyeah shirt is 🔥🔥
Car looks soooo good!
wow what an upload. 10/10 im interested
fam, the work is IMMACULATE.
such an amazing transition at 9:10
Man that 180 is fire but all your builds are clean af man you guys keep the great work up
This is by far the best giveaway. Have always been a 180sx fan over the other s chassis models
Damn. I hope you guys do more s chassis. Finally doing one some justice.
What was the stuff being brushed on the back of the side skirts before putting the double sided tape on?
Adhesive promoter
Great job! Coming from a place with heavy winters and salt, I wonder if and how you treat the drilled holes in body. Here the first winter would make it rust heavy without any treatment.
The holes were hand painted with a paint brush after drilling. Before the female part of the clip was inserted.
Has anyone done the raptor liner on their inner fender area? Are you seam sealing it before the liner goes on or does it even matter?
If you take Sean sealer off you reseal it prior to undercoating
My fenders on the inside are also raptor lined so yes people do that also
@@GARAGESZERO is the 1 gallon kit good enough for all 4 wheel wells? It's for a Z32 so I'm sure the size is similar to an S13 or R32
Turned out so good. Time to order more merch
Another tasteful work of art
This thing is sick, it came out flawless.
That thing came out super clean! Well done!
Can I ask what the specs on the TE37’s and tires are? Also if you had to do any pulling on the fenders / rear quarters? They look perfect
Tommyfyeah I know it's same comment as everyone but this build is badass can you do more videos of the guys just working insane work done by everyone
On point Tommy , thanks for sharing my guy
Came here expecting "tOmMy ExPoSeD" comments but only met with real Gs
Keep on being the best Nissan builder alive
Lmao folks still watching this dude even after he showed was he truly like behind the scenes? 🤣
And yet you took the time to return and comment....
Drilling the car for skirts after paint seems like a wild order of operations choice.
Clean restoration, nailed it!!
you didn't get the rear lower panel thats why it looks like it is sticking out
It gets corrected!
This thing is beautiful! Such a satisfying video.
Now we’re talking !!! ❤
Absolutely amazing work man. Loved watching the painting happen that was dope.
As always, looking fantastic. It was nice seeing getting hands on and you didn’t even wear the white gloves,
Damn man!! You all are awesome!! Keep it up!
The r chassis restoration are cool . But this a chassis is soooo good
Really wish we could get the SR20 shirt by itself
Tommy why was the skirt not fitted before paint so all the holes u drilled dont need to be touched up
It was but we didn’t have clips. So we drilled pilot holes. We touched the holes up with paint before putting the female clips in
Love the 180sx keep videos up .....TOM..... we love you.... my favorite UA-camr P.s...MR
take a look at window visor gaskets for semis, there's probably something similar in size to the wing
times must be rough if you're working on the car yourself
Damn, that paint came out spectacular.

So good! I'd love to see a GTI-R FYeah Spec'd someday 👍
Banger Video!
Iv never seen this guy turn a wrench 🤦♂️😂
Hopefully this motivates jimmy to get to work in on his haha but onna real note this thing came out killer!
The amount of detail for a giveaway car is insane 🤯
anyone know the rationale behind spraying the undercoating in the fender well after painting the body? Seems like it'd be much easier/less risky to do it first
No OEM Type-X lip for the bumper, or was it jut too hard to find one in good condition?
Damn this was the car with the blown out wing? Looks good now, something about S13 hatch’s hits different
It's a 180sx, not S13
@@JohnDoeC78 S13 is the chassis code, don’t start this argument with me bruh. 180/240sx/Silvia is the body style and S is the chassis code, a Silvia coupe and a 180/240sx hatch are all considered S13’s

Set of raybrig headlights in this now and would he perfect 🤩
I'm surprised you guys haven't started doing g full body restorations on gtrs yet or would it be to much of headache to do it

Great video. Beautiful restoration in progress.
