@@kylesievertsen6Yh but there will be major competition on mainland Europe considering the three biggest theme parks in Europe are all in driving distance of each other while being in three different countries where as compared to the UK not really much competition. Fun fact: Universal has actually owned Port Aventura in the past. They acquired it back in the late 90s and retitled the resort ‘Universal Mediterranea’ but later sold it in 2004 due to it losing money.
I'm not sure where you got that it takes an hour to get from Luton Airport to the park? There's a direct train from Luton Airport to Bedford that takes less than 20 minutes. Less than an hour from central London on the train. It's very similar journey times to Disneyland Paris from the centre of Paris
@themainstreetnews That'll be why. There wasn't a full service over the Christmas period. The train takes 18 minutes from Bedford to Luton Airport. I'd assume Universal might build a station for the resort on the Midland Mainline which will be a few minutes shorter. So probably 15 minutes. 41 minutes to St Pancras. It's quite interesting when you look at the railway developments going on around Bedford. There's a new line being built called East West Rail which will go through Bedford. This would eventually give direct trains from Bristol, Swindon, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich. It would also link it to the West Coast Mainline which goes up to Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow. Already direct trains to London as well as (I believe) Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Sheffield, potentially Leeds too. Also a direct train to Gatwick Airport. You could be able to get there from almost any city/town in the UK with at most 1 change of train. The direct train to London terminates at St Pancras which is where the Eurostar travels to/from. Could potentially do a Eurostar train from Universal to Disney!
For sure, I didn't go completely into the location and possibilities regarding the UK park because this video was more focused on how they enter the European market and not how the parks would be developed/ redeveloped. I have been talking with some local-ish people that live around Bedford and they keep on saying that it's super well connected to Greater London and its airports, it truly is a good location to build a theme park.
Im hoping this will be a wake up call for Disneyland paris for them to invest more in the park. Maybe that third park will open at the same time as Universal GB to offer some competition?
I don't think Universal is going to buy PAV. Building from the ground up seems to be the direction they want to go on, buying PAV would not only be expensive but they'd have to completely rework the park which would cost a fortune, they'd have to do this whilst still operating which would be disruptive to guests. Happy to be proven wrong but it's not something I can see happening.
One thing does not change the other. There could easily be two very different Universal owned parks in Europe. They’re separating their theme parks more and more, look at the brand new venture that is Kids park in Texas. I feel like two very different Universal parks could co-exist in Spain and UK and complement themselves
@@themainstreetnews They would be very different. One would be built ground up and be the Universal we see today, the other would be a hodgepodge of Universal of the past. Good comparison, the two US resorts are in each side of the US, this would not necessarily be the case here but something similar. It takes some 2 hours by plane to go from Barcelona to London, this is very different in the US

Universal didn't use to be a partner, Universal owned PortAventura! They sold it off in the early 2000's and a return has been hoped by fans ever since
Man Universal Britian would be awesome.
But Paramount Will Have It’s Own SUBSIDIARIES, Paramount Studios Japan In Osaka, Japan, etc. and Also Nickelodeon Universe and Also Paramount Creative Which it will be the foreign and paramount pictures equivalent of Imagineering at Paramount Parks & Resorts (formerly Paramount Entertainment Inc., Viacom Parks & Resorts and ViacomCBS Parks & Resorts) will be the theme park unit of Paramount Global. The company is responsible for the conception, building, and managing of Paramount-related theme parks and vacation resorts. It is a major competitor of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, Universal Parks & Resorts, Cedar Fair, Six Flags, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Herschend Family Entertainment, Parques Reunidos/Palace Entertainment, and Merlin Entertainments.
Awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it!
will they make a super nintendo world in universal studios uk ??
The IPs, lands and attractions are still either not chosen or not revealed. There is still a lot of planning before it gets to that announcement! But hopefully yes 😄
I just dont see how a UK park could be profitable.
The UK already has well established theme parks and due to its weather and lack of shengen i don't see how non-uk people would want to go.
Hollywood Comes Back To Spain For Universal Studios Spain In Salou, Spain
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (hogsmede) and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (diagon alley) are all coming to universal studios Great Britain In Bedford, London, England, Great Britain, uk stands for United Kingdom
Disney can merge with paramount global and Viacom and ViacomCBS and Disney cannot also merge with paramount global and Viacom and ViacomCBS
Because Fox is now owned by Disney
france of course❤❤❤❤
i hope Universal will continue to make smaller parks all over Europe. Imagine smaller parks in The Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, France etc
Hopefully
I just wonder if UK is actually considered because of the really bad weather
Universal Studios France is an upcoming Universal theme park in Meaux, France that will open in the very near future replacing Universal Mediterranea (now PortAventura World) (now already became Universal Studios Spain) which it is In Salou and Vila-seca, Tarragona, on the Costa Daurada in Catalonia, Spain and also located an hour away from Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain and Universal Studios Great Britain In Bedford, London, England, Great Britain, UK Stands For United Kingdom and Also Located In Bedford, England and Also In Bedford, England, UK Stands For United Kingdom. The park will become the sixth Universal Studios-branded theme park in the world, the eighth Universal-built park overall, the first in Europe. It's one component of the much larger Universal Europe Resort.
Universal Studios Deutschland is an upcoming Universal theme park in Bottrop, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany that will open in the very far near future replacing Movie Park Germany. The park will become the eighth Universal Studios-branded theme park in the world, the twelfth Universal-built park overall, the third in Europe since Universal Studios France in Meaux, France and Universal Studios Germany In Munich, Germany and also the second in Germany after Universal Studios Germany In Munich, Germany. It's one component of the much larger Universal Europa Resort.
The project was announced in the very far near future with the plan to invest €1.04 billion (US$1.2 billion) into the new theme park; a groundbreaking ceremony was held in the far near future. It will feature attractions themed primarily to Universal-owned movies, TV shows, animation, music, and video games, as well as licensed properties from other companies (e.g., Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, MGM, AMC, CBS, and Nickelodeon etc.)
Disney can buy paramount global as Disney cannot buy paramount global
Because Disney Now Owns Fox
dont but port of adventura thatys dumb your not six flags
build a park next to it or by it
The UK has had so many problems since Brexit logistically and financially and many Britons even have to go to social care despite working full time because life has become so expensive. In addition, many infrastructure works are not getting off the ground and there have been many plans for theme parks that have not gone beyond the drawing board. All of this means that I have no hope for a Universal Park in Bedford and I hope that they think very carefully before investing further in it.
If universal successfully opens this park in the UK it will be a MASSIVE failure...
Universal will NEVER build a park that should have an international user base in the UK after the unintelligent move of leaving the EU.
Sun, beach & theme parks! Perfect destination for holidays! Back to Universal Mediterranea resort! 😃🎢🏖
Sounds great!
