I was looking up this song for my dad and I was surprised to see you singing it, Mario! It's been years since my piano lessons - I always loved to listen to you play and sing. I would have loved to hear you play piano in the video :). Very nice :)
I heard this song for the first time today, but it immediately became one of my favourites. Mario does a great job with it. Makes me long for the girls of Neil's Harbour. I miss Nova Scotia so much!
Neil's Harbour was everything that Peggy's Cove is not when we visted The Maritimes last year. Most of the few girls there seemed to be working in the local supermarket though. A fine song that I'll be playing and singing with our shanty crew ' Swinging the Lead ' based in Gravesend, Kent England .Mario does a fine version here.
