Maybelle Chisholm the queen of the piano. I loved her flip when the king's reel kicked in!
He’s me fiddle teacher!!!
My maternal gt grandmother Ann McClellan came from Broad Cove Inverness
Both of them...masters.
Jason gets so into it.. would love to see him in person
So love this
Tamerack em down!
On
may belle a sweat heart and the best piano player talent
Such a terrific dancer. Quite the footwork right there!! Wow
Awesome talent !! ❤️
Very nice. What's the tune name and key please?
R.I.P. Sandy MacIntyre
Beautiful! Scottish tune!
seriously, the scots have got countless songs and fiddle tunes, reels etc. should be promoted more
Neil's Harbour was everything that Peggy's Cove is not when we visted The Maritimes last year. Most of the few girls there seemed to be working in the local supermarket though. A fine song that I'll be playing and singing with our shanty crew ' Swinging the Lead ' based in Gravesend, Kent England .Mario does a fine version here.
The piano player is struggling a bit.
I do not think he is a CB pianist. Maybe?
@sgtcrab2569 He is from and lives in Cape Breton. The 2 of them are actually from the same town.
Kevin is on the piano, he was from St.Peters Cape Breton.
Glendale?? California??? Or where????
Canada
Delighted to see this. I've had many great classes with Sandy at the Gaelic College. God bless him.
Average at best
Explain yourself you monster!!!!!!!!
Amazing. All three of you. Between Colin’s feet, Chrissy’s ease and Jason’s hands I don’t know where to show more awe. ;)
Crissey s out fit is nice too!
love mike hall's fiddle playing expression, intonation, tempo' and lift (accenting). heard Mike Hall and Joel Chaisson (piano ) yesterday (June 2) at the Doryman pub in Cheticamp. cape breton 8 years since this video post Mike just gets better and better.
Awesome video...
V.
Does anyone know the name of the first one?
I think the 1st one is Cuttin Bracken.
@@danielshane6487 Or known as "Cutting Ferns"
Bar none...the greatest!!!
Great to wake up to in the morning!
Just waiting for the baby in a pram to come in with a fiddle and start playing such talent in those families
or start highland dancing out front before it can even walk...
RIP Dougie and Jerry!!! Two of my favorites....
This just all you need right here.
Anyone know the name of this tune?
two wonderful people and musicians!
nice to see you both! i guess this is 5 years ago ....i'm behind!
One of the most powerful cuts on the cd.
melissa emmons Don't forget to tell Dave Cormier that we've been listening to him in Ireland!
What number is this on the CD?!
Only some of the Leahy brothers and sisters are there. I believe there are 8/9 brothers and sisters.
Musically-you both are so amazing together!! Enjoyed it tremendously!
ana dheas ar fad- gaelic for very nice indeed
What I like about him, he kept the Cape-Breton bowing.
Hello Shelly. What is the title of the first tune? Thanks
Memories of Father Angus MacDonnell.
wOW. the pianist must have had quite a blast keeping up. i enjoyed watching them play together flawlessly.
She's a legend...so, no problemo.
very good tunes thanks for sharing keep up the good work
First
two of the best of the best that ever played!!loved your music.r.i.p
Those dancers needed a bit more training. But those legs...
Does anyone know the name of the first tune please?
There's a video of Rodney when he was about eleven or so dancing at West Mabou, I think. Kinnon and Betty Lou playing. I could watch it until the cows come home. Superb. And continues to dance so beautifully. God bless him!
Hi-Anybody have any idea the name of the "reel" that starts at. 1:50 ?
He certainly deserves a wider audience that's for sure. One of the best in my books
Thankyou for posting this. I'm from Mississippi; and love Cape Breton music, and am learning the dancing.
Yes very good!
