Your helmet looks amazing! Love it! Pretty unique too I'd guess, I've not seen any cosplay Clone Pilots and there really can't be many 212 Pilots out there.
As always Dan a really brilliant re-work/paint job. It goes together with your 212th Clone armour perfectly. I always know when a video pop's up from you that I'm in for a treat and I'm never disappointed.
This is a design feature I'm wanting to add to the Mk3 mandalorian helmet where the face is removable when i have better tools, space and materials available. I definitely love and enjoy watching what you and ace cosplay make and adapt to your own design
Very nice! I wouldn't have been able to see when cutting the helmet to fit due to the amount of nervous sweat that would've been in my eyes! I'm currently building a 327th Star Corps trooper. Clones and stormtroopers are my favorite characters, so you're not alone, there!
I'm not sure a clone pilot would have their helmet this dirty, considering they aren't typically in ground combat? Unless shot down, which could add to the story? I really like your custom paint scheme! I had initially thought that the writing said "bucket head props" haha. Good stuff man!
How did you go about applying the republic decals on your helmet? I was gonna purchase a custom clone helmet and then put some of my own on there to give it a personal touch
Check at about 5:30 in the video. The decals were ready to go but needed a fair bit of convincing to go down correctly. Just patience and a bit of fiddling and they should go down. They'll always play up a bit going onto a compound curve surface
I wish I had that. Your so lucky you have the money and time to do this. Do you know what websites sell clone helmets from clone wars? Because the only website that I see selling helmets are Etsy but there all 3D files. Plz help me
This one is a resin cast, there are quite a few sellers of casts. There's always pepakura (paper modelling) which you can then fibreglass and bondo. Theres also the hasbro helmet which can be modified to look more accurate (check Ace Cosplays video) There are a few ways to get good results.
@@Rafael-qd3yq it’s accurate, but the point where the vertical part of the visor meets the horizontal is angled instead of curved. Otherwise a great rendition of a great helmet.
your painting still needs a lot of work and learn but youre doing great. the weathering is in my opinion overdone since they operate in space mostly but its all personall preference
"Mild" Star Wars obsession... don't we all haha. Loving the build. Can't wait to do my own.

Gosh, I wish something like this was approvable for the 501st. I’d love to build a 501st variant to troop in…
Troop away! Doesn't have to be 501st group approved to make one 😋

Thank you so much, you flatter me 😅😅

That looks awesome, well done.

Looks amazing. Love the overlapping chipped paint on the helmet. You always create nice quality props and videos... well done.

Very nice work !
Awesome work I love it 🤩
I need that.
Mine! 😄😄
Awesome video and awesome cool looking helmet
Awesome
Awesome.
Idea: put rebel pilot helmet patterns on clone pilot helmets. I’d love to see Luke’s pattern on a phase 1 or episode 3 style pilot helmet.
Ate there 3d files we would be able to get for this helmet I'd love to do the same as well
None that I know of I'm afraid, this was a cast piece. Maybe someone like Galactic Armory has them
@@BucketheadStudios ahh darn no worries I really love how ot turned put and how you added your name in the alphabet!
@@BucketheadStudios I guess I should follow up with where you got the resin kit from lol thank you again for the quick response earlier
Was DW Design studios if I remember correctly. Not sure if they're still around or making helmets though
Nice helmet.

Ah thank you, definitely a collection grown over time! A few favourites - Daves Armory, Sanotized Creations, Atlis Armory, Samoilovart 🙂
Buckethead Props thanks I will check them out 😄
Where did you get the logo stickers and how did you make the triangles?
Hi, the logo stickers came with the kit. The triangles were just carefully measured and then masked with tape 🙂
That looks sick! Dont suppose you're planning on bringing that to mcm in October if you're going?
Afraid I can't make October MCM, maybe at one in the future though!
@@BucketheadStudios aw dang was hoping to get a picture. Hopefully another time!
It's still a Phase 1 helmet, even with the rank to battalion change.
I’ve been wanting to make my own phase 1 pilot but I haven’t been able to find any good kits. Any help?
Not sure on any makers at the moment, not a very common helmet at all
what are you using for your visors - i cant seem to find any replacement welding/grinding shields here in the uk
Hmm most of the kits I get come with them. They do have some on Amazon
@@BucketheadStudios ah thank you
I really want to make a clone helmet but I don’t have a 3D printer could I still make one or not

Hey Dan would you be able to provide the link for that helmet?🙏🏽
Hi, was bought from FB I'm afraid, maker was DW Design Studios I believe, so you might be able to find something
Btw what are those metal things in the back called? If I ever make this, I think I’ll need them
Don't know, mine were cast resin, but I think that you can get actual plumbing fittings that'll match
Thank you!
I noticed that the pilots had a slightly larger visor. Or is it cuz this is 1.5?
Only called it 1.5 cause of the paintjob 😄 battalion colours on the phase 1. Don't know if they had a bigger visor 🤔
@@BucketheadStudios it is slightly differently shaped. More triangular than T. Noticed it Just now.
@@Rafael-qd3yq it’s accurate, but the point where the vertical part of the visor meets the horizontal is angled instead of curved. Otherwise a great rendition of a great helmet.
why bot making the lower part out of whute rubber material so you can put it on like a helmet
Do you have stl?
Afraid not, was a cast not a print
