I had to chuckle: while you were pouring the resin over the vase into the mold, it reminded me of Morticia Addams' dress, at least in the TV version. It came in tight at the knees and flared at the bottom, lol!! 😂 Both projects look amazing!! 👏👏
Love this vase. My question is, did you mix paints with resin? What is the ratio? When I tried this with paints and resin, it all ran off, so the paint and resin became transparent. How do I stop this from happening? I am in New Zealand, so a lot of the products you use we can't get here. Thanks for your expertise advice. Janet
I always love how your vases come out but love this method very much. If I didn’t want to do another mold under it could I use my hand to spread the clear resin all over the vase and then start spreading different colours? I know I would waste some resin I just haven’t got a big enough mold yet
Yes and yes! For some reason I don't have any on UA-cam (I'll have to fix that!) but check out this video facebook.com/MixMediaGirl/videos/1614294422367180

In this video I used 2 resin dyes and only 1 mica. The dyes are opaque, micas are transparent. You don't want to use more than about 10% of your colorant to resin
May I ask how much dye you use in your resin? I tried this the other day with white, black, gold (Mica Powder), blue. The bowl is outsanding. The vase was a HUGE disappointment. It was almost as if I hadn't put any dye whatsoever in the resin.
Mixed Media Girl Artist Resin has zero VOCs but it is always recommended to wear a respirator or minimally work in a very well-ventilated space when using artist resin. Not all resins are the same so please follow the manufacturers recommendations with regards to PPE.
Thank you so much! I love this vase and bowl. Love Love Love. 🖤 P. S. What a good idea with Leaving the drips!! 🎉

Thank you! 😊
Love it!!!

Beautiful
Thank you :)
Very beautiful ❤. Do you add the clear resin first? Does it may?
Beautiful.
AWESOME!!😁😘
Hello love this! Can I ask how do you get the vase from sticking to the plastic cup while drying? Thx
How do you keep the vase from tipping over? Do you use double sided tape to secure it to the plastic cup?
Beautiful vase and bowl set. Where do you get the silicone mold? I want to start making these.

Yep! You would only need a few ounces of resin :)
Hermosos
Can you make one in black beige gold
Have you used any TLP pigments in your resin? If so, did it perform well?

Beautiful! What mold did you use for the bowl?
Here you go :) mixedmediagirl.com/products/round-silicone-tray-mold-with-agate-edges
Que material pusiste debajo del jarron para hacer la fuente
Instead of torching, would spraying with alcohol work as well?
I wouldn't recommend that on the vase as it could cause issues with the resin
Tried this but the resin just slips off? Do u sand
Hello. Can you provide a link for the mold? I am unable to find it. I did look on your links in the description as well. Thank you

How much mica powder do you use, so your vase doesn't become transparent

Are you using the same dye I used?
I wasn’t using Alumilite but an alcohol ink. Perhaps quality is an issue?
Alcohol ink and resin dye are very different. Alcohol inks are quite translucent :)
Thank you.
How much quantity of resin was used?
For this project I used about 12 oz, but it will vary depending on the mold you use.
Это из чего делают?
Do you worry about the fumes? Do you use a mask?
