I know it caused some stress but it came out great, the details you added with the lights and roof rack etc really set it apart. Great job and the paint is sweet as always.
shes a lil rough - but dude, from scratch, props!!! kinda good that you took on a mega build to start, now lil styrene mods will be a walk in park - and that paint man, so deep and glossy!
Yeah! Looks great 👍. Maybe that water base paint would strip without damaging the styrene by using a different stripper like the orange stuff. Paint some scrap parts that have bonded pcs to test.
So glad Doc you saved me from ever trying to do an entire body from styrene...hee hee...HOWEVER the skills learned can be applied to engine/smaller parts needing scratch building. THANK YOU so much for the knowledge and sharing.
File a V notch with a triangular jewellers file in the back of whatever you want to flex. Then when you bend it it doesn't crack like a score mark might. After mounting putty will fill the gap left if there's one. To join rod or tube together a rat tail jewellers file lets you fish mouth the ends for a finished fit.
That's damn impressive for a first time scratchbuild. Sweet. Another tip: You can use the cement to smooth areas that you have Dremeled out or sanded. Sometimes the little fuzzies are easier to get rid of by melting them away with the cement - just brush on and let it dry.
My hat is off to you brother ! You went all in with the styrene. I used it in the past with 25th scale models (a lot ) and brought it back when I started the 64th scale cars...only I was using it for details (truck beds, spare tire covers etc.) You jumped in head first. Mucho respect ! 🍻💖🍻
Not sure if it’s been mentioned yet, but make a Styrene filler. Add in all the Styrene scraps to a bottle and top off with the solvent. It will make a paste which can be used for filler.
Most folks struggle with pre-formed styrene kits and you're a little tough on yourself building two worthy first time scratch builds, with no real custom extrusions or pre-forms? Top efforts on both projects! Yes! Sure as Hell we wanna see more!
helpful advice: I am a builder of scale plastic model cars. you can soak painted styrene in purple power or something similar to remove paint/chrome so if you ever paint styrene and it doesnt turn out the project isnt scrap.
Nice steady hand glueing those luggage rack supports to the roof. If I did that they would all be tilting at different angles and stuff. Very nice job! 👍🏻
Not sure how I missed this build part 1& 2.... Dude this was amazing...to build from complete scratch, you nailed the resemblance 👍👍 The color looks good after all it was pulled out of the scrap yard and refurbished...lol
I have been a subscriber since your second video. Loved all you've done, but to be honest this Jimmy-bago has impressed me more than I thought I was going to be. My hats off and mad respect. Thank you.
Nice work. Maybe much better with polysteyrine interior. And if making Original will require some lines on the side like the Jimmy's trailer does. And it seems that it's a little tilted.
That paint really makes the hauler look awesome. I was sort of on the fence when it was white as you were building it up. I can see where the stress comes from, dicking around with little parts that like to go missing. Cool job, man.
you can use Wesley's White wall cleaner, Purple Power, Easy-off oven Cleaner, and brake fluid to strip the paint off of Styrene. I use the Purple Power to strip paint from Model cars I restore, or goof up.
Just get a square piece of dense foam and cut out a circle the size of the cement bottle and stick the bottle in it.. so even if you hit it with your hand, it won't tip over... I do the same thing with Tamiya's liquid cement bottles.. Great work, by the way. :)
Really impressive man! Serious skills to make that from scratch. I was a kid in the 70's and I've always had a thing for the Winnebagos from that era. I think it's because Tonka (or a company like them) made one then that just about the right size for the MEGO superheroes.
Very impressive, don't be so hard on yourself. That's an amazing job, lot's of detail and imagination. You are a awesome restorer and concept detailed. Fantastic work.
That is badass!!! From the body ,paint, the windows. All of it. Please show me under the chassis how you did the wheels. I didn't find that part. Thank you for sharing this awesome build. You inspire us.
You killed it man, absolutely amazing finish! Love the green glass too! That really polished it off nicely. Makes me want to break out my styrene and make something.
I like it ...but it does look like a Christmas ornament. Needs some side molding or decals and the back ramp should be flat black. Other then that looks great .
That is incredible. I'm sure there are other scratchbuilt styrene vehicle vids on UA-cam but I haven't seen any! I've built a few bits and pieces from styrene but never anything like this good work my friend.
Very impressive first attempt.. great job.. I model N scale model railroad and scratch build a lot of styrene. One thing I've learned because styrene is so unforgiving.. When in doubt..draw it out! Great paint job also
Entirely from scratch... In any build that is taking a pretty big bite. Most of my work is with N, HO and O scale locomotives. You did a great job, especially on 1:64th scale. If you ever get an interest in building model trains, you'll find making rivots on the boiler to be sooo much fun, LOL! Fun build to watch, and it turned out slick.
It feels kinda good in a way seeing you struggle with the styrene, I build 1/24th scale models. I I've been struggling with front and rear suspension all day today. Nice to relax and see someone else struggle with theirs for a bit. Good job, man!
Wow, unbelievable, insane, fricking cool, you could have painted it with doo doo it would still look good but that green, oh my God the green you're killing it.
Nice build. I've done a lot of build projects myself so I feel your stress. We just be wanting to get it done. But the end results are always rewarding. It's truly amazing Watching someone else's work so never stop cause encourage us to do more projects like this ourselves. Total🔥🔥🔥
You can strip styrene plastic a number of ways, I use Castrol Super Clean, Otherwise known as the "Purple Pond". You submerse the item to be stripped into a container of the cleaner, and depending on different factors, and in most cases, the paint will strip off without damage to the plastic in a few hours to several days. I have been using this method to strip paint from 1/25th scale built, model cars for several years. Before that, I used Easy-Off oven cleaner. There are other methods. I have heard off using brake fluid as well but never attempted that method. A fresh paint job, like you encountered, would probably strip in less than an hour in Super Clean.
WOW! That turned out really nice. The "w" and stripe would be difficult but not impossible. Awesome job overall and I think Scott would be hard pressed to do something more impressive, given the scale involved!
Oh, hey, you can use AJAX scrubbing powder and a toothbrush to remove some unwanted paint. Wet the project while scrubbing, and it works slow but effective. It also removes chrome from plastic parts almost instantly. You might give it a try sometime.
Awesome project, my five year old son turned me on to your channel, great job on the bago, videos are fun to watch, my son and I just did a build I'm starting to edit now, used lots of tips we learned from your channel, will be shouting you out! Loved and like applied 👍🤜🤛have an awesome awesome day!
Pretty awesome scratch build. The only thing I might have done differently is make the ladder lower. When you think about it on a real Winnebago the window sills are at about eye level. The bottom of the ladder should be about where the bumper is with the lower rung about a foot above that. So your first step would be the bumper. Now if you don't want to modify that, and trust me I can see one good reason why (THE PAINT!) here is an idea. I have seen IRL on a similar kind of vehicle that had the first three steps cut into the side, a kind of half moon shape. It would be simple to do with a dremel and some kind of bit. Just put a piece of styrene on the inside to thicken it. The real truck had black rubber padding on the steps, so you could paint the recesses silver and black. If you do add a tire rack, put it on the back. Again that is where on similar vehicles it would be located.
Awesome job. I was thinking you could use mirror tape for the mirrors. Something else that would be cool is if you design a car with interchangeable hood, grill or other parts.
Sweet build, looks awesome in emerald green with green windows! Jimmy's probably gone to buy a stock car to haul with this and that's why you can't find him.
Don't give up man this project was a good skill builder.
Practice makes perfect
Should print up some Winnebago decals in neon green and apply them.
That green is amazing on this beauty.
Great patience builder! Love everything about it but especially the candy with the moons! Beautiful!
This turned out great. Love the color. I hope there's a sleeper in the back for Jimmy? You know how he likes to entertain his lady friends!!
When I first saw this, I thought know way, but the completed project is so unique and I really like it.
Oh man can you add the detail! Looks amazing! Hard to believe it’s built from scratch. You have talent!
Total Awesomeness >>>
Looking forward to more scratch builds...
Yeah! Looks great 👍. Maybe that water base paint would strip without damaging the styrene by using a different stripper like the orange stuff. Paint some scrap parts that have bonded pcs to test.

You just made your own "die cast" with that shiny paint and its awesome. Keep up!
That's damn impressive for a first time scratchbuild. Sweet. Another tip: You can use the cement to smooth areas that you have Dremeled out or sanded. Sometimes the little fuzzies are easier to get rid of by melting them away with the cement - just brush on and let it dry.
Looking totally awesome dude, `The Green Manalishi` lives to ride again. #Blublife
Turned out great for a scratch build. Very cool angles. Unbelievable paint job. Two thumbs up!
....INSANE....
You certainly rocked this ond out and the sprayjob looks out of this world mate
Funky
My hat is off to you brother ! You went all in with the styrene. I used it in the past with 25th scale models (a lot ) and brought it back when I started the 64th scale cars...only I was using it for details (truck beds, spare tire covers etc.) You jumped in head first. Mucho respect ! 🍻💖🍻
Your by far the best builder on youtube just simply amazing.
i build alot of model cars purple power will desolve any paint but not the styrene. works great on clear parts too. zero damage to the plastics
Super Clean works as well.
Not sure if it’s been mentioned yet, but make a Styrene filler. Add in all the Styrene scraps to a bottle and top off with the solvent. It will make a paste which can be used for filler.

Use purple power or 91%rubbing alcohol to strip paint on styrene plastic
I've used Green Stuff a few times. But you have to be very careful not to leave it soaking for too long, or weird stuff will happen.
mr muscle oven cleaner spray foam
basically sodium hydroxide
LA Awesome Cleaner from the dollar store, doodle have the same chance for nastiness that simple green does.
Expert craftsmanship! Love the way it sits low on the moons!
WOW! This turned out so incredible. GREAT JOB!!
Nice steady hand glueing those luggage rack supports to the roof. If I did that they would all be tilting at different angles and stuff. Very nice job! 👍🏻
Wow, this looks amazing!
Awesome work on the Winnebago. The green shine really makes it stand out.
Not sure how I missed this build part 1& 2.... Dude this was amazing...to build from complete scratch, you nailed the resemblance 👍👍

I have been a subscriber since your second video. Loved all you've done, but to be honest this Jimmy-bago has impressed me more than I thought I was going to be. My hats off and mad respect. Thank you.
Absouletley love it, such a nice change from regular diecast stuff, that turned out sweet.
Nice work. Maybe much better with polysteyrine interior. And if making Original will require some lines on the side like the Jimmy's trailer does.
And it seems that it's a little tilted.
Man, thats awesome! Fully custom winnebago from scratch! looks great, love the green!!
Just BEAUTIFUL
I LOVE THE GREEN
ALL THE DETAILS ON THIS PROJECT MAKES IT LOOK LIKE YOU BOUGHT IT AT THE STORE:)
Once again another awesome video. I wish I could built something like this, so cool .👍👍 two thumbs up Sir
That paint really makes the hauler look awesome. I was sort of on the fence when it was white as you were building it up. I can see where the stress comes from, dicking around with little parts that like to go missing. Cool job, man.
The Wicked-bego! YES AND YES. LOOKING mighty fine....mighty fine! The big bad "W" on the side could have been a cool touch....i still give it an A++
you can use Wesley's White wall cleaner, Purple Power, Easy-off oven Cleaner, and brake fluid to strip the paint off of Styrene. I use the Purple Power to strip paint from Model cars I restore, or goof up.
Loving these build from scratch videos.

Mighty mighty sweet ride! It really looks awesome. I'm probably not the only one who wants to see more of these kinds of projects
This is what u find when u chase rabbit holes...glad I found u!
Should try a wood board decle for the bed. And add a winnebago decle on the side. That is some G-E-W-D work. I am in awe as always.
Very impressive, don't be so hard on yourself. That's an amazing job, lot's of detail and imagination. You are a awesome restorer and concept detailed. Fantastic work.
That's a damn good first scratch build, especially for only taking one day! Spray oven cleaner, like Easy Off, will strip paint from styrene.
That is badass!!! From the body ,paint, the windows. All of it.
Please show me under the chassis how you did the wheels. I didn't find that part. Thank you for sharing this awesome build. You inspire us.
Excellent workmanship and paint
You killed it man, absolutely amazing finish! Love the green glass too! That really polished it off nicely. Makes me want to break out my styrene and make something.
Awesome. It looks great. And that for a first scratch build cannot wait to see what you come up with when you more comfortable with the product.
I like it ...but it does look like a Christmas ornament. Needs some side molding or decals and the back ramp should be flat black. Other then that looks great
.
That is incredible. I'm sure there are other scratchbuilt styrene vehicle vids on UA-cam but I haven't seen any! I've built a few bits and pieces from styrene but never anything like this good work my friend.
Frickin awesome! Remember that scaled done truck of yours I suggested? Just find a close model and make the shallow bed out of this. You did great!
Very impressive first attempt.. great job.. I model N scale model railroad and scratch build a lot of styrene. One thing I've learned because styrene is so unforgiving.. When in doubt..draw it out! Great paint job also

I like the scratch builds it shows imagination and character two qualities that are missing in today"s world keep up the good work
It feels kinda good in a way seeing you struggle with the styrene, I build 1/24th scale models. I I've been struggling with front and rear suspension all day today. Nice to relax and see someone else struggle with theirs for a bit. Good job, man!
Really nicely done. I wouldn't even know where to start.
Wow, unbelievable, insane, fricking cool, you could have painted it with doo doo it would still look good but that green, oh my God the green you're killing it.
The craftsmanship on this is insane. It turned out killer.
Freaking amazing ! I could only imagine what you could do to an actual vehicle !
Nice build. I've done a lot of build projects myself so I feel your stress. We just be wanting to get it done. But the end results are always rewarding. It's truly amazing Watching someone else's work so never stop cause encourage us to do more projects like this ourselves. Total🔥🔥🔥

Well done, looks pretty Amazing. Next build, a London double stack bus.
You just blow my mind everytime!!!! You're just crazy talented!
Looks great! I'm pretty excited for the drift car build, I know it's gonna look shweet!
What a really inspired build and colour choice superb.
looks great except the windscreen you need to sort that mate
that looks amazing unfinished and completely done.
Love the candy green. Unusual vw calls for unusual color!
I think it looks great. And that candy green really pops.
Pretty awesome scratch build. The only thing I might have done differently is make the ladder lower. When you think about it on a real Winnebago the window sills are at about eye level. Turned out super nice. Enjoyed watching alot..looks better then most green machines in package.
Awesome job. I was thinking you could use mirror tape for the mirrors. Something else that would be cool is if you design a car with interchangeable hood, grill or other parts.
Nice work... The paint job is great, love the candy color...
Awesome! Scrarch build is hard to do but the results are worth it!
Excellent build. I hope you build more styrene projects. Dave
That was a killer build . Keep at it , just to see how good you can get if for no other reason .
To much coffee or you were sniffing the glue. 😂😂
Wow that's amazing dude🔥🔥🔥
That's awesome. I enjoy all your stuff. With that thought I wouldn't have the patience
Smooth as glass. A great project piece. Thanks!!
That's rad. You definitely should do more of that.
these videos are good for the soul. Thank you!
Pack of construction staples for the grill. I mean - this looks awesome, but that probably could/would work.
Awesome from scratch. I sure couldn't do it. You should make a rat rod out of that studebaker cab that would be awesome. Chop the top and everything
White strip on the side would've being nice! Nice build man thing was sweet
That paint is shiny! The end result looks pretty great, definitely a helluva lot of work was put into it in quite a short amount of time
I’ve learned a lot watching this👏👏
Please do more videos like this
Pretty kool ride / hauler .... would love to have that at the race track 👍🏻
I’m impressed with the manipulation of the styrene, details are quality 👍🏻💯👍🏻
Looks awesome. See you Friday!
Man that is sweet!
Just need two rear tail lights but sweet none the less.
Superb talent
That’s great 👍I might go try to make a cab over out of styrene
Sweet build, looks awesome in emerald green with green windows! Jimmy's probably gone to buy a stock car to haul with this and that's why you can't find him.
Insanely cool build dude ! All it needs is some nice comedy jimmys racing decals it looks badass
