    Jackie and Kimi, both legends.

    Wow Jackie is really an amazing person. He puts so much understanding about the work of the pilot in an F1 car now and then that is strikingly respectful and insightful. When many ppl (even some pilots) talk about f1's differences between eras they never consider all the additional work a racer has to do in addition to all the "crapy" technology added in the car in comparison to before, so if it is an advantage it is not w/o as price. The fact that he can understand Kimi's ways and mentality in such debt is also very amazing. I've heard so many ppl and so called experts to just describing Raikkonen as a egocentric bully with a lot of problematic issues, when the truth is different. He is a great driver and fantastic to work with, at least what all his teams technical personal say about him. As Sir Jackie states "He is a very special person". xD
    But it's very amazing I think, that a driver from a completely different generation way way before can understand and analyze the technology looking it through so many different angles and concepts. And personally to him, to can understand the mentality and the way s/o is who is very different and specific as a person is admiring.

    I´m finnish and many here don´t believe in Kimi...sadly. For me, Kimi is one of the most talented drivers since Senna´s time and brings alot to F1 due to his abnormal personality

    i'm agree with u, the cars are really similar now, in 80's there were only 2 teams good, the others were bullshit.
    then the pilots now are starting karting or minibike at 5 yo ( ex: Valentino Rossi ), Prost discovered karting at 14, at 14 a skilled motorbike driver make the debut in 125cc or Moto 1.
    10 years of career is the difference, is incredible how mature are the pilots today.

    Let me remind you: In 1990 Senna intentionally crashed Prost off the track at the first corner. Yes, the Ferrari was quicker that year, but unreliable, which made it worse. In 1991 it was just the same thing with Williams. Their car was faster and technologically more advanced. However, this made the car less reliable and this lack of reliablility made it a worse care than the Mclaren in total. Having the fastest car doesn't mean the best car. It was the same story in 2005 with Kimi and Mclaren.

  • @allegritamiss

  • @SJ4y

    I'd love to see that as well. The point is: Senna also only won his titles in the fastest car of the grid. It's quite normal. Of course he performed brilliantly in the slower cars as well but so did Vettel in 2008. You can't judge Vettel for the fact that he keeps his seat at the fastest team. It's only logical he does that. What is he supposed to do? Move to Caterham and defeat the other driver? You can't blame Vettel really.

  • @ed1ss
    @ed1ss 11 років тому

    Because he's had the fastest car in every instance. You have to move teams and continue to win to convince the sceptical people.
    I love Vettel and think he's a huge talent. But I'd like to see Kimi join him at Red Bull next season as a direct comparrison. If Kimi joins and Seb keeps winning, which I think will be extremely close. Then we'll know he's a phenomenal driver and even the Kimi fans will have to admit it, if he consistantly beats their man.

    if u know the simulators like GPL or iRacing
    the handling was easier, 300-400 CV, soft springs, take the apex gently, really different from the hard setting in the era of ground effect with nervous cars, button or not, an ass cannot win.
    the only think is the fuel, potentially the cars were esplosive tanks running at 200 km/h.

  • @GenevaExotics
    @GenevaExotics 11 років тому

    Its kinda weird that someone who sucks has 20 victories, 73 podiums, 16 pole positions and 38 fastest laps (only Prost and Schumacher have more fastest laps).
    I don't see the relation between your argument and your examples. What does his performance on track have to do with the way he is off track?

  • @Adamson11x
    @Adamson11x 11 років тому +4

    Wow, Ur really "out there". "struggling to beat Grosjean"? Just check the drivers standings. Well, as for German GP, Grosjean should have let Kimi past about 5 laps before and Kimi would have overtaked Vettel. 5 laps that costed him the win.

  • @dominartyrant9014
    @dominartyrant9014 6 років тому +2

    His comeback was better than Michael's, alright, but the fact is Kimi's car was way better than the Mercedes crap Schumi had.

  • @SJ4y
    @SJ4y 11 років тому +1

    Senna's dominance in qualifying didn't always last in the race. He often qualified with less fuel which gave him the edge in qualifying. In the race he wasn't as dominant. Vettel simply can't go three seconds faster than anyone because the field has become much more competetive, whether you like it or not. You're Senna fanboyism is really getting on my nerves. Can't you see your own hypocrisy?

  • @ed1ss

    Well, I guess Ur one of those guys who is really thinking big...with a small mind. Just to make a point here: Kimi was on softs and Romain on mediums..and Romain needed 2 messages to let kimi pass...what happened when he finally let Kimi pass..Kimi disappeared from Romain's sight. But it was too late..exactly 5 laps too late. well U keep on thinking big...even when U have no idea what ur talking about. Just to make things clear: how many times has alonso asked Massa to let him pass? Think big.

  • @SJ4y
    @SJ4y 11 років тому

    I bet you can't even give one good reason why Senna was faster. Furthermore, you can't compare two eras. I'm not saying Senna was slow. He probably was one of the fastest of his time, if not the fastest (although I've always thought of Prost as an equally good racing driver). I'm just saying that you simply can't know whether Senna was faster because there is no direct comparison. Shouting around he definetly was is just stupid.

    No you dont, its a logical fallacy to predict something like this on observations like these lol...
    I doubt someone as bright as senna or anyone really, would say Raikkonen, a world champion that could easily be 3 times world champion right now, sucks at all.
    He has his own style, if he doesnt care for what hes doing hes not going to perform up to standard, just as anyone, but when he tried he almost won 3 titles had it not been for the car.And now hes back with a bang lol.
    Dont be silly.

  • @SJ4y
    @SJ4y 11 років тому

    Look up your facts, boy. Everyone knows that the Ferrari was way more unreliable than the Mclaren. Same goes with the Williams. By the way, you don't have to drop out of the race when you have a problem. It does slow you down though.

  • @Salpeteroxid
    @Salpeteroxid 11 років тому +1

    He also appreciated Schumacher, bet you hate him. But the last thing you could call Räikkönen is inconsistent, mediocre and undisciplined. He has been in the fight for the title all the years he has been racing in f1 except the first year and som of the years when the McLaren broke 1/2 of the races. No one has ever in modern time done a comeback after several years and had that much WC points. You speak of pure ignorance. Senna would be ashamed of you as his fan.

    You give no reason to think you are smart lol, quite the opposite.
    Raikkonen is a world championship winning driver, "not a serious sportman at all" i cant care less for your definitions lol, Raikkonen is a great driver, AND..u got pwned LOL.

    Overrated people do become three times world champion when they're rated higher by most than a five/seven times world champion. Vettel drives awesomely fast and has 3 titles as well. Yet he's rated lower by most than Senna. I can't see why.

  • @SJ4y

    You obviously are stuck in the past. I'd suggest to you to see a psychiatrist for your nostalgic disorder. You're blaming others to be fanboys while you're the biggest fanboy yourself. Get a grip man. Give me one good reason why Senna was more talented than Schumi, Vettel, Prost...
