This video says a lot about how an interviewer should interview. No wonder, Kimi is never too interested in answering questions to the British media, that comes with a whole lot of agendas and propaganda. Good job Jean! You're a hero like Kimi!
Sanyam Jain Massa collects F1 drivers helmets. When he asked Kimi. Kimi suprised him by have one made for Massa son. So he ended of with 2 one Kimi's and one baby one for his son. Massa replied no other driver even had considered it before. Also that time F1 drivers had character and passion.
Just another Kimi story but a friend of mine who I know through an online Kimi group, we got to know each other back in 2005 so a LONG time ago! She was going through a very difficult time and her mother knew she was a big Kimi fan so ended up writing a letter to him whilst he was at Lotus and expected a standard photograph or something back. It turned out the letter actually got through to Kimi and he wrote a letter back to my friend and sent a signed photograph back of him smiling and underneath his signature he had written 'Keep Smiling :)'. It meant a lot to my friend and still does. PS Your original comment is so right. I cringe at the media, especially the British, over the course of the weekend because all they do is talk about Hamilton and keep trying to big up Palmer despite him being an absolute waste of a seat.
In the best way, it is shown here that Kimi is not the MÖ/MÖ/MÖ type. He answers accurate questions correctly and honestly. Of course he NEVER answers all the questions of the so-called journalists, because they NEVER have an honest interest in Kimi. For me he is one of the most charismatic guys of the last 45 years. An honest skin, absolutely reliable. Hats off, Alesi and him
the moment i read "Alesi interviews Raikkonen" i knew Jean would mention their crash at Japan 2001 lmao. 2 awesome drivers, such a shame Alesi was so ridiculously unlucky with reliability & changing teams, he had quality to win atleast 1 title if not more, and crashing out of the last race wasnt the end he deserved either. specially after his awesome final season with perfect record up until that race
Crazy to think that these two actually did race together for a season (2001). I believe Jean Alesi was the last F1 driver to race in the 1980s when he retired after the 2001 season.
Alesi was a great driver who deserved atleast 1 title, but he was easily the unluckiest driver in the 90s, not only because he was super unfortunate to join Ferrari, Benetton & Jordan at the worst possible times but because he was also ridiculously unlucky with reliability. Monaco 96 & Monza 94 must still be painful for him to remember, specially Monza since he was driving for Ferrari. Alesi definitely did not deserve to spend the last few years of his career in Sauber/Prost/Jordan shitboxes
Yeah I agree with Kimi that during that time he started in F1 most of the cars are very competitive and some podium winners are coming from the lower team unlike today that only the top 3 occupies the podium most of the time and only 1 team is a clear winner for this year.
I think it also has a lot to do with the low number of DNFs. I mean that time obviously there were dominant cars, like the Williams in the 90s or McLaren end of the 80s or Ferrari at the start of the 00s but every now and then their engines would also just blow off. Nowadays you only have a DNF when something really severe happens so that makes it kind of boring there is no suprises whatsoever and that makes it really, really boring.
@@enadizenideniz yeah, its also kinda sad that this comment was made 4 years ago!!! and nothing has changed since , the 2020 season has alredy prived that will be the case and 2021 will be same cars so.... hopefully the new 2022 rules shake up the grid
Yes, I agree with you that Kimi is one of the fastest driver and true talent out there. I was a Kimi fan right from his first f1 year, I knew that he'll be a world champion.
Two badass Ferrari legends for sure. Alesi probably didn't win that much but he was driving an non-competitive car back then. At best he was one of the most spectacular drivers. That one Suzuka wet race where he got the pitstop 10 sec. penalty was absolutely mind blowing where his engine finally gave up. Can't remember the year but I sure do remember the race.
i think is different if you talk with someone you know or someone you see the first time. and also Jean was racing so he knows what to ask not to be boring
Kimi makes first cold impression on the audience, but most Finnish have such as a temperament. Janne Ahonen, Eminen and many others. If you do not live in Finnland, you do not know, how they are genuinely.
You probably meant the Dubstep part during the montage? I know I'm a bit late but it sounds like a dubstep remix of Hans Zimmer -Time (Inception). Try Hans Zimmer - Time (Ben Walter Remix)
Difficult to believe that 2 of the best F1 drivers of all time would lower themselves to drive for the wholly contemptible Ferrari team. Pitiful, to a degree.
they should have brought Montoya into the chat - then we could have heard the 3 all time greatest wasted talents together. All had World Champ potential - phenomenal car control but immature mindsets that capped their development below true potential.
You should have brought your mother and father with you to comment here because you're clearly an imbecile..Oh that was 4 years ago maybe you've grown up now...
I want to understand why the middle-aged European man thinks that overdoing the bronzant will make him look like sugar daddy, when the opposite is recommended ....

All had World Champ potential - phenomenal car control but immature mindsets that capped their development below true potential. (Yes Kimi won 1 anyway but it wasnt a very impressive one - just kind of fell that way, and he could have been a thricer if he had been more disciplined)
Kimi was quick but thats all - he was lazy - preferring the bohemian lifestyle to a hardwork ethic like say Senna. Alesi was unlucky but also unthinking 9eg doing excessive burnouts after spinning instead of just a quick spin turn, thus ruining his tyres - lots of stuff like that - undisciplined. But yes he should have won quite afew GP but had bad luck. he also could have gone to Willaims for teh early 90s but instead chose ferrari for the romance when Willaims were the logical choice - Senna never went to ferrari for the romance - he chose teams based on who would most likely deliver. Alesi at Willaims in early 90s would have been formidable - perhaps better than Mansell) Montoya was also lazy - wouldnt even do gym work. But a phenomenal talent. i stand by what i said initially - they all were huge raw talents but didnt apply it like the great champs - and so never became greats when they all could have been.

Nice to see Kimi interviewed by a properly good understanding guy like Jean
Alesi and Kimi togheter, the nicest guys in modern f1 history.
Yeah. Tough race drivers but overall nice guys. I really like those guys. You don`t get these kind of personalities anymore to Formula 1.

Jean didi such a great job that Kimi was Laughing
Jean and Kimi are both great drivers Jean was just unlucky at the time he joined Ferrari , both are true legends
Yes very true
Jean was unlucky overall) But he really challenged Senna, and Ayrton admitted that Jean can be a real threat for him even in Monaco
@@darchandarchan7036 agreed

Jean: Kimi are we talking of our crash in my last race?
Kimi: ok
KIMI the best
I love these interviews where Kimi enjoy answering to good questions
TWO OF THE LOVELIEST, MOST REAL PEOPLE IN F1
1:11 - spot on.

Всегда болел за Жана Алези, а когда он ушёл стал болеть за Кими Райкконена. И вот они снова вместе)
kimi, one of the fastest men in f1.some would dislike him cause he looks quite serious and dislike the press.but well who´s perfect?
Yes, I agree with you that Kimi is one of the fastest driver and true talent out there. I was a Kimi fan right from his first f1 year, I knew that he'll be a world champion.
kimi please stay in Ferrari until 2018 (at least) there is nobody who can replaces you
+RyukFerry max verstappen can he is very good
+RyukFerry Bottas maybe
+Roy Lijnsvelt Vestappen will stick with RB so is Ricciardo, I think either Grosjean and Bottas
He cannot win with ferrari ( this year atleast) imo hamilton and räikkönen is the best drivers, but the mercedes cars is better this year...
Charles Leclerc
Ca c'est de l'interview. Bravo !

Best interview ever
I hope in 20 years well see that kid driving in f1, if he/she chooses so
I love them both...what character 😊
Alesi looked like Stallone!

LEGENDS
The two Ferrari driver: Kimi and Jean.
kimi want the v10 back we as fans want the v10 back then fucking f1 gives us the v10 back
Just found out that he was a rally driver in the 2010/11 WRC World Championship
He also was pretty good in it. Alonso after his retirement won two 24hr le mans. Really goes on to show how beastly these F1 drivers are.
Alesi: Ferrari
Subtitles: Furry
Damn furries ruin everything
Haha Ferrareeee
"You can't expect God to do all his work."
Glad Kimi doesn't know French😂Two Legends but Kimi and Alonso were gamechangers.
20 years and single winner in Jean Alesi F1 ferrari Canadian f1 1995
daahv1985 on his birthday
I think it's easier for Kimi to be interviewed by a person whose first language isn't english either. Or that's how I'd feel
I think its that and the fact that Alesi was a former f1 driver so there is a mutual level of respect and understanding
1:33 exactly what I've been saying since this terrible hybrid vaccume cleaner ere
2020?
why was there inception music in this video
2:09 this footage from?
Brazil 2007. After the race at the interview pen, Mika came to congratulate Kimi.

kind of fun hes really complaining f1 cars being slow😂 but i know what he means
Low key. Easy.

What the fuck your talking about... How could discipline saved kimi from his mclaren breaking..
He decided getting pissed and stoned was more important than winning World Tittels - so he became a bohemian
