Aww lovely! My decking is ALL about flowers in pots so I love everything Jess is doing. I hope my sowings come to fruition, I get jealous when I see everything in flower in the garden centre and mine are still seedlings. Come July though…. 👌🏼 Bravo you two, looking lovely xx
Awesome tour of the back garden. Very entertaining as well 😃And that rootbound thing 😱Don't think I've ever seen that much roots in such a small space! That cherry blossom tree looked really pretty 👌
Jess try winter sowing some of your flowers, Larkspur, Delphiums, lupins, Columbine, hollyhocks and most cool flowers love this technique. It’s very hands off and produced lovely sturdy seedlings. (A quick google brings up lots of tutorials) Lupins i would always recommend to do multiple sowings off because apparently they are the most delicious to slugs ever. Gorgeous garden 🥰 one can never have too many flowers
Ah you guys have done a great job. Jess you are the flower Queen😄Your cosmos is looking great ! I have such trouble growing them from seed, they alway go so leggy even if I sow them in the greenhouse and now the few I did mange to rescue have been eaten off by a flipping snail I didn't spot in my greenhouse grrr. I will try again, we have had such a dark and miserable spring I am sure anything we sow now will be much better anyway :-) so keeeep sowing!! 😊🥰
Those bulbs in all the pots look so lovely - well done Jess. I’ve tried a few myself last fall but I don’t think mine made it. It was warm in early January and then froze so I suspect they started to grow and were toasted by -20 😂 I agree it is really starting to come together! 🌷🪻🌸🌹
Brilliant video both, thank you! Love how you remind us that garden is all about trial and error! Still haven't got my head around how you need to plant 50 of something to get about 3! 😂 You gave us some great ideas too! Cheers!!! Keep having fun!
Loved looking around the garden much more advanced than mine, mine are still all little seedlings on the window sill. The mystery plant in your wild flower patch looks like Red Campion (Silene), will be beautiful when flowering and a prolific self seeder and loved by pollinators.
Thanks for your update. 👍 I love your passion for plants and planting but more importantly is I love the way you interact together ♥ I get the impression that you are very different individuals that have found a mutual love of growing things yet in differing ways 😀 Long may we see Jess in your videos as she adds so much joy ♥
The mystery plant in the arch bed is a sedge growing from the compost that the garden centre used for their potting mix. The clematis are Cl. Montana they're spring flowering but our old one flowered most of the summer and will cover the arch no problem. If you want a rose for the arch then I can recommend Blush Noisette, it has clusters of pale pink flowers that are about 2" (5 cm to you kids) Highly scented and ours flowers from anytime now till November. Don't give up on the lupins Jess, kick all those Chillies out side and take over the lights and heat🤣. you need a greenhouse thats the answer ... JB can put you one up as he's had some practice😂😂. look great
Always love it when Jess joins the videos. Love the update. You two giggling is super cute. Jess is doing amazing at growing and trying new plants, what I love about gardening is that you are always learning. Back garden is looking great!!
Aaaw get you two all giggly and happy together. Nice to see that Jess has green fingers too JB. Is one of the little plants you asked to identified a woodland anemone? Well done with the sweet peas too. I’d love to see this in a months time when everything has grown.
Hi JB & Jess, lovely to see Jess in the video & the giggles too ❤ lovely garden video update and it's looking really good too. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
I just love Jess' bulb area. I have one just like it, except mine are all in pots. I also love tulips. For next year, I can recommend trying Swan's Wings. I just bought 6 this year and they are really beautiful. JB, I also have an overwintered tomato. I got it from one of my homegrown tomatoes last year. When I cut the tomato open, all the seeds had already sprouted. Only one survived, but it's looking very healthy. Hope it fruits.
Totally distracted from the garden with Jess' planet tattoo on her arm. I have pretty much the same on my shin. Clearly she has amazing taste! Really nice to hear more from her and see you two together. Such a great dynamic!
I, too, was smug about my army of lupins just for them all to die. The only surviving one is looking strong though so hopefully, it flowers this year. Hopefully, Jess gets some too🤞
Great double act - Jess the wait and see gardener vs JB with his more structure. Note to self 😂 try to grow Lupins. Last time I did that they got covered in horrid grey aphids!❤ loved this video
Jess, be patient with your pansies. I'd given up on the tray I have under lights X5 weeks now....as I approached the tray to initiate Plan B for the tray......I'm seeing the sweetest wee sprouts in most of the cells. Also, retain your confidence in the bottom-of-tray labels. I'm confident they are what they say (however hard to read). I've learned to use an acrylic paint pen (come in many light/dark colours) for permanent marking. Another great episode.
Hi jess, castlehill Gardens did a great video on propagating geraniums.a week or so ago. I think your fantastic over wintered geranium would be perfect for taking cuttings and getting loads of extra plants.
Lovely to see Jess's flowers - I've grown my own lupins this year they've been outside for a few weeks now and are flourishing really well - I'm on the east coast (Whitby) so we don't get much snow but do get high winds 🌿 will Jess leave the tulips in the tubs just cutting them back later - I've also put bulbs into tubs (some in the ground too) but like moving the pots around 🌷🌷🌷 one of my sons gave me some money for mothers day so I treated myself to a Camellia from Lidl they've had some really good value plants over the last few years - even saw some 6 packs of kale and cabbages last week too - good as starters for us new fruit and veg gardeners 🌿
Sweet peas are as hard as nails, I put mine out early March (sown last October) and they're flying, the carnations will depend on the variety. The small 'wild geranium' looks like an 'anemone blanda'.
What a shame your so. far away .Ive just split all my perrenials Geranium Rosanne ,Astrantia Roma ,Pink Daylillies.Plum pudding Heuchara ..If I can find a way to pack them I,ll let you know .Jess pinch out your cosmos to get it to branch and create a big bushy plant with lots of heads .Lovely Tulips display 😍 Half the fun is trying things out !
Looks like a nemesia from last year in the pot.carnations shouldn’t go out until May, they are tall plants and maybe some wooden skewers could be good supports. Love the gorgeous tulips.
Ooooh yes I think Jess planted that nemesia and then forgot about it instantly hahaha Why May? just for risk of frosts? We're lows of 10C here at the moment!
Hi jb,loving your channel so far as I’m a total newbie to allotments,do enjoy gardening, but fist time getting my own space,I have a load of chillies seeded the now in my shed, but I have to chillie plants do they regrow every year.or am I just holding onto them for nothing?
It sounds like you've got some overwintered peppers in your shed? If they're just sticks and they're not showing any signs of leaf by now then it's highly likely they died of frost over winter. You can overwinter them indoors but they have to be kept above freezing!
No that is an old black paint which the previous owners used and has somehow been absorbed into the plaster.... There are serious issues in that conservatory with water ingress though. Been trying to sort it for years...
Jess is doing amazing growing her flowers. Love the videos with both of you, such fun xx
Your home garden is looking beautiful! Love the bright coloured tulips and just the huge variety of flowers you're growing!
Aww lovely! My decking is ALL about flowers in pots so I love everything Jess is doing. I hope my sowings come to fruition, I get jealous when I see everything in flower in the garden centre and mine are still seedlings. Come July though…. 👌🏼

Paint pens like you get for painting rocks , last way longer than sharpies for labelling ! Thank me later 😂

I love how Jess says she saves everything from the garden center. 😂 I’m going to start using that phrase! Thanks Jess!!
Hahaha they're all the reduced and dying plants!
@@JBNat Bargain plants! My favourite kind! Good work, Jess! 😁
Lovely to see Jess back in the videos. Your garden is going to look lovely and well done with all your seedlings.

Ahh yes that makes sense, just got lovely germination on those at the allotment too :)

I don't think it is because it's still got all of last years dead growth on it! Thanks for all the other tips ☺️

I could be friends with jess , i do flowers and veggies and i like her enthousiastic spirit, remind me of myself when talking about flowers.
Lovely to see Jesse in the video tulips beautiful
Its looking really good. Jess, I love the tulips, especially the little species ones. BTW Pencil works better than sharpie on the plastic tags.

Glad it wasn't just us!! I think we maybe kept them in the warmth of the house for too long, not too sure though.

I loved this episode. Great dynamic between the two of you. Can't help but smile.
Surprising how many different plants you can get in a small area.
Garden's looking fantastic and colourful already! Keep up the good work, Jess and JB!
I started my lupin in beginning of May last year and still came up but small but this year there back much bigger.so sow some more jess.
16.21 is an astilbe. They have gorgeous plume like flowers. Best of luck with all the flower seeds.
Thats what I thought too. I have a pink one and a white one in my garden. Very hardy. Even survived being trimmed several times.😂
Nice to see more Jessica. The two of you together are funny!

🐝Thanks for the great video🌻 Look at all those flowers!

Oooh lovely stuff and yes jess will leave them in the pots!
You two are very cute together 😊
Awww I loved this,you and Jess ❤️
Nice couple you two. All your gardens are interesting.
Looks like a sedge in the raised bed. Love the spring garden.
Lovely wee video love seeing Jess it’s great to see all her hard work coming to creation ❤❤
You two are such a joy to watch thank you.
Thank you!
Hi, I think the mystery flower is a nemesia. Love the enthusiasm.

The plant, Jess, is an astilbe. They like moist soil. The flower spikes are feathery and come in red, pink and white.
Yes was going to say the same. They don’t mind shade.
AWWWW .....you are so cute together love from Iceland...... ps: the plant you ask if we know I think is Aruncus diocius
That unknown plant looks like Astilbe, it likes a moist location.
I completely forgot about pinching out cosmos thank you!
16:27 looks like an astilbe 😁
Only just found your videos, loving them. Just south of you on the Isle of Wight
Ahhh lovely, I occasionally get to travel over to the Island for work, love it.

Ooooh yes I think Jess planted that nemesia and then forgot about it instantly hahaha Why May? just for risk of frosts? We're lows of 10C here at the moment!
Yes, frost risk
The third plant you asked about, I think could be either Astilbe or pachysandra
i think the flower at 16:27 is an astilbe thanks bye xxxxxxx
Jess has figured it out everyone
I was going to say that too!
The mystery plant at 16:26 looks like some sort of Astilbe - they do well in shady spots.
The flower that closed up is anemone blanda 😊
Omg that's it! Jess remembered planting that one, thank you!
Get the lupins out, i have mine oute more than a month, they can handle cold better than hot. ❤
Jess, the plant that had gond yo sleep, looks like Anemone Blanda
Yes!!! Jess remembers planting that one, thank you!
@@JBNat that's great. They are so pretty
you have definately got a dj's kind of voice , now theres a thought for you !!! that in the pot looks like a bit like astilbe
The thing you said had funky leaves may be Astilbe

Oooh I like that common name for it!
