I believe the movie was still made but basically it went over like a fart in church. Audiences asked Hollywood why was Woody Allen still making movies with this sort of crap at his door. It was then that Hollywood kinda quietly cut ties with him. Every time Woody Allen tries to do a movie, entertainment media DOES bring up the allegations and originally actors and actresses said he was never convicted and continued to work with him but like it or hate it (personally I hate it) and if someone is outed as a predator (or in the case of JD just straight allegations).. they do tend to distance themselves. Key word: OUTED as long as it’s quiet rumors they pretend not to know. Money talks you know? I want you young people to remember the names of the actors and actresses who continued to work with Woody Allen since he married Soon Yi and Dylan accused him of SA. Those are the evil people who allow men like Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein, and others to continue to do what they do. Look up ALL his movies from the late 80s to now. I would like to say that MSM actually did cover this situation a LOT and more often than not would ask actors how they felt about the allegations, it was Hollywood who acted like it was no big deal. Actresses like Diane Keaton, so on and so forth were outright asked and they said: "he is a fine director and I don't believe he did what they say he did." I'm no fan of ET or other Hollywood media but they have constantly brought up Allen's past. It only seems like it's recent thanks to #metoo but this has been well known forever now.

I was a victim of repeated child sexual abuse and rape between the ages of 5-14 by an uncle. I didn't tell my mom until I was in College, and asked her not to say anything to anyone. It wasn't until I was 29 yrs old when I told my sister, and that's when she told me that he did that to her as well. Eventually in my late 30's is when I found out he's molested dozens of people, and those are the ones that we know of, there is definitely way more victims, and I am learning of more and more victims as time goes on. There are Five reasons why I never came forward to tell someone when I was a child. First, my mother was physically and verbally abusive towards me, I feared her and was scared to tell her. Second, I didn't think anyone would believe me, and my relatives and mother would turn their back on me. Third, I felt shame that it was my fault. Fourth, I lived in a small town with small surrounding communities, everyone knew each other, and even at that age I knew that our town and surrounding towns were gossipy. Fifth, I was very shy with low self esteem and didn't want to draw attention to myself, I use to walk with my head down and I got bullied every day by the other kids. Going back to the second reason, when my relatives learned of what my uncle did to, me, as well as what he did to my sister, my cousins, my aunt and others, almost all of them turned their back on us and called us liars. The other few said they believed us, but still continued to spend time with him and act like nothing happened. When I told my other uncle,( his brother), his response was that "females ruin men's lives by saying these things, and it's only sex" I then reminded him that I was only a child and his response was "so, that was in the past". I didn't know how to respond to that comment, especially when my rapist uncle tried things on his (my other uncles) wife. She experienced what he was like and she didn't believe us either, (a kindergarten teacher) it was so strange. Anyways, dozens of us have come forward and charged him, his trial is this January. BTW my aunt who also pressed charges on him, for repeated molestation and rape when she was a child as well as repeatedly in her adult years when she became disabled and couldn't defend herself, she was supposed to testified in January as well but she passed away a few months ago. She was such a sweet sole and I miss her very much, and in January, when I go to testify I'm going to wear a flower and say a prayer for her.

After I told her, she ran to my grandma and asked my uncle if his kids were molested by -this person- too. I felt exposed. To this day, they act like nothing happened when they see him. Makes me feel sick. Anyway, I pray for your healing and take care of yourself ❤️ Also: I’m doing a therapy called EMDR - it’s been helping a lot. Just throwing that out there in case you were looking for additional help!

I know what you are going through and that is why you have to choose yourself and cut these toxic ass people out of your life. I don't want to be the one to say this but working a lot has helped me cope. People say money doesn't buy you happiness but I worked until I could afford therapy and find hobbies that could keep me busy to cope with the pain. Once I've healed (it's been a process) I will pursue a relationship eventually. But trust me... been through multiple abusive relationships (family and partners). Having a goal in mind got me to safety. Preserve YOU above all else.

I'm truly sorry for your guys' experience, I've also experienced it, at the hand of a family member and then at 15 I was raped by four men repeatedly for over 8 hours. I've been in therapy so long I don't remember a time when I haven't been in therapy, but I guess all we can do is heal and grow and stand together and fight against these monsters

I'm a child of divorced parents and can confirm that the parent accusing the brainwashing, is the one doing the brainwashing. My mother brainwashed myself and two younger siblings. I didn't realize the extent until a few years ago at age 26 when my sister confided in me that while I was in the hospital after being crushed between two cars, just a few months after giving birth to my first born, there was a day where I was in my room in the trauma department where my nurse had withheld all my meds for four rounds claiming "when you [myself] dropped the attitude, then I would get my meds" that was the same day my mother bragged about telling that nurse that I was a drug seeker and to not give me my medications. I wasn't even an addict but still, no one should have been treated the way I was. I almost died from being in horrific pain. My sister waited years before telling me because she was terrified by our mother. Now, I have no contact with both my mother and my sister because despite my sister knowing how awful my mother has been, she's too brainwashed to cut contact and ultimately was sucked back in to the brainwashing.

Two things: I don't think a father or step-dad holding a small child in only a diaper is inherently inappropriate, and not taking a polygraph is a smart move for most people since they are not known to be completely reliable and can produce both faulty and incriminating data in certain circumstances. That said, I believe Dylan and I think Woody is a total creep. What happened with Soon-Yi is 100% grooming. I don't care how close or not they were during her teenage years, or how neglectful Mia may have been. NEVER okay.

I was three almost 4 and a family friend exposed himself to me and was took me to my grandparents garage and did things and when my mum came out to find me he said you can't say anything I remember it very clearly. The babysitters told all, and a 7 yr old knows it’s wrong to be touched on privates. SA can be very embarrassing to the victim to speak on. Dillon must’ve been overwhelmed at woodys denial.

Dude Dylan Farrow should REALLY sue Woody Allen for physical and psychological abuse. She might not be able to get justice because of the statute of limitations or whatever, but she certainly can sue for gross damages.

I believe the movie was still made but basically it went over like a fart in church. Audiences asked Hollywood why was Woody Allen still making movies with this sort of crap at his door. It was then that Hollywood kinda quietly cut ties with him.
Every time Woody Allen tries to do a movie, entertainment media DOES bring up the allegations and originally actors and actresses said he was never convicted and continued to work with him but like it or hate it (personally I hate it) and if someone is outed as a predator (or in the case of JD just straight allegations).. they do tend to distance themselves.

I would like to say that MSM actually did cover this situation a LOT and more often than not would ask actors how they felt about the allegations, it was Hollywood who acted like it was no big deal. Actresses like Diane Keaton, so on and so forth were outright asked and they said: "he is a fine director and I don't believe he did what they say he did."
I'm no fan of ET or other Hollywood media but they have constantly brought up Allen's past. It only seems like it's recent thanks to #metoo but this has been well known forever now.
This was news in several media outlets including VH1. I remember being horrified hearing about it years back but nothing was done then or now about this particular case.

I was a victim of repeated child sexual abuse and rape between the ages of 5-14 by an uncle. I didn't tell my mom until I was in College, and asked her not to say anything to anyone. It wasn't until I was 29 yrs old when I told my sister, and that's when she told me that he did that to her as well. Eventually in my late 30's is when I found out he's molested dozens of people, and those are the ones that we know of, there is definitely way more victims, and I am learning of more and more victims as time goes on. There are Five reasons why I never came forward to tell someone when I was a child. First, my mother was physically and verbally abusive towards me, I feared her and was scared to tell her. Second, I didn't think anyone would believe me, and my relatives and mother would turn their back on me. Third, I felt shame that it was my fault. Fourth, I lived in a small town with small surrounding communities, everyone knew each other, and even at that age I knew that our town and surrounding towns were gossipy. Fifth, I was very shy with low self esteem and didn't want to draw attention to myself, I use to walk with my head down and I got bullied every day by the other kids. Going back to the second reason, when my relatives learned of what my uncle did to, me, as well as what he did to my sister, my cousins, my aunt and others, almost all of them turned their back on us and called us liars. The other few said they believed us, but still continued to spend time with him and act like nothing happened. When I told my other uncle,( his brother), his response was that "females ruin men's lives by saying these things, and it's only sex" I then reminded him that I was only a child and his response was "so, that was in the past". I didn't know how to respond to that comment, especially when my rapist uncle tried things on his (my other uncles) wife. She experienced what he was like and she didn't believe us either, (a kindergarten teacher) it was so strange. Anyways, dozens of us have come forward and charged him, his trial is this January. BTW my aunt who also pressed charges on him, for repeated molestation and rape when she was a child as well as repeatedly in her adult years when she became disabled and couldn't defend herself, she was supposed to testified in January as well but she passed away a few months ago. She was such a sweet sole and I miss her very much, and in January, when I go to testify I'm going to wear a flower and say a prayer for her.

After I told her, she ran to my grandma and asked my uncle if his kids were molested by -this person- too. I felt exposed. To this day, they act like nothing happened when they see him. I know what you are going through and that is why you have to choose yourself and cut these toxic ass people out of your life. I don't want to be the one to say this but working a lot has helped me cope. People say money doesn't buy you happiness but I worked until I could afford therapy and find hobbies that could keep me busy to cope with the pain.
Once I've healed (it's been a process) I will pursue a relationship eventually. But trust me... been through multiple abusive relationships (family and partners). Having a goal in mind got me to safety. Preserve YOU above all else.

I'm truly sorry for your guys' experience, I've also experienced it, at the hand of a family member and then at 15 I was raped by four men repeatedly for over 8 hours. I've been in therapy so long I don't remember a time when I haven't been in therapy, but I guess all we can do is heal and grow and stand together and fight against these monsters

not really, they wanted to have a kid together but after trying she couldn’t get pregnant. so she asked him if he would be open to adopting instead and he said yes as long as the kid looked caucasian like both of them, since her other adopted kids were poc from third world countries and he had wanted the adopted kid to look similar to what their own biological white genes would look like together. the odd part is that he preferred a girl over a boy, but their relationship wasn’t weird yet, so ig she thought it was just a preference not bad intentions :/

I'm a child of divorced parents and can confirm that the parent accusing the brainwashing, is the one doing the brainwashing. My mother brainwashed myself and two younger siblings. I didn't realize the extent until a few years ago at age 26 when my sister confided in me that while I was in the hospital after being crushed between two cars, just a few months after giving birth to my first born, there was a day where I was in my room in the trauma department where my nurse had withheld all my meds for four rounds claiming "when you [myself] dropped the attitude, then I would get my meds" that was the same day my mother bragged about telling that nurse that I was a drug seeker and to not give me my medications.
I wasn't even an addict but still, no one should have been treated the way I was. I almost died from being in horrific pain.
My sister waited years before telling me because she was terrified by our mother. Now, I have no contact with both my mother and my sister because despite my sister knowing how awful my mother has been, she's too brainwashed to cut contact and ultimately was sucked back in to the brainwashing.

Two things: I don't think a father or step-dad holding a small child in only a diaper is inherently inappropriate, and not taking a polygraph is a smart move for most people since they are not known to be completely reliable and can produce both faulty and incriminating data in certain circumstances. That said, I believe Dylan and I think Woody is a total creep. What happened with Soon-Yi is 100% grooming. I don't care how close or not they were during her teenage years, or how neglectful Mia may have been. NEVER okay.

I saw the documentary on HBO max called "Allen v. Farrow" and I completely felt for Dylan , I can't believe how much time they didn't believe her.
It is possible to brainwash a kid, and implant memories that aren't real, and unfortunately there are documented cases of that happening in bad custody battles...but in this case?? Dude literally married the daughter of his longterm girlfriend which he had known since she was a child. Nah. Thank you for speaking about molestation. I am a survivor of molestation and I can say the pain, struggles and trauma never goes away. I have learned to live with it and been to therapy throughout my life, read books and do numerous things to cope with the aftermath.
