I love that you got to the stamp show and that you had such a great time. Stamp shows and exhibitions are certainly a wonderful experience and a great way to find some of those stamps you've been looking for, for a while. You can also get some really good bargains. Looking forward to the forthcoming videos. Your enthusiasm always lifts my spirits.
And you got to go to your first Postcrossing meetup, even if only briefly. I too have found that Postcrossers are invariably helpful, kind and generous. It really is a wonderful community.

I've only been to 2 stamp shows in Franklin WI, but loves them and could spend forever ogling all the stamps I wish I had. My mind was blown at the first stamp show. " A kid in a candy store at x-mas" is exactly how I felt:) When I went to the 2nd one, I decided to just focus on Icelandic stamps. I was born in Keflavik and thought it would be a great country to work on. It's definitely not the cheapest country to collect, though. The great thing about stamp shows, though are the loads of super-nice , knowledgeable people and great deals one can find. I'm definitely looking forward to the treasures you found :)

Attending a real stamp show is a great experience for those of us who love stamps / philately ! Happy for you that you got the opportunity to attend one! The only stamp show I have been able to attend was a Great America Stamp Show when it was in Sacramento.... I was passing through town on my way from dealing with my Mom's estate and was able to spend a couple of hours checking out the exhibits, buying from some of the dealers and getting to see a real US C3a ! Did not know Minnesota changed its state flag !

I have thousands of stamps from everywhere and every time, left by my daughter's great grandma. No idea what to do with them!
Hello! There are many options available to you when it comes to stamps. first you could begin stamp collecting as a hobby for yourself or your daughter, it is great fun and a wonderful way to learn about history as well as other countries and cultures. If you want to find new homes for the stamps you can try to sell them on online auction sites or perhaps donate them to a charity such as "Stamps for the Wounded." I hope this helps and if I can be of further help, please let me know.
what was wrong with the previous flag?
according to the booklet that I received at the show, some citizens of Minnesota objected to the previous designs depiction of a Native American on horseback, viewed by some to be a reference to the displacement of Native people throughout Minnesota's history.
I'm catching up with all your videos, but I didn't want to miss comment on this one and say what and incredible experience you have! I was so glad hearing all about it. And super happy that @stephenogier7499 got the stamps!
