I'm shocked, naivas is now the leading supermarket in Kenya? When I was there 10 years back , it was nakumatt followed by tuskys and now both of those have followed uchumi to the ground. In those days naivas was more of a poor people's shopping place, I hope they still are and I wish them prosperity.
I think this is just a sign of the collapsing economy. More to come. We have wasted the last 10 years on Jubilee aka KANU nonsesense and now we are seeing the results...really hard times may be coming our way.

The only person who managed to run a successful Supermarket in Kenya was a man called Mr Suresh Shah. He was given responsibility to run Uchumi Supermarkets when it was in debt back in the 1970’s. He turned around the company and made it into an icon during his reign but after he left it is history. Hard work and talented and last thing luck. To run a successful business any where is focus and hard work and above all trust by all the stack holders including customers, staffs, suppliers, and financiers. Good luck comes at the bottom.
