Just send the video to the shop working on deleting my bumperettes. I hate them and have a black 87 Carrera. I can't wait to see if it turns out as beautifully as yours did. Thanks so much!!
So happy you did this! The clean European bumpers look so much nicer. The Porsche 911 that looks better the older it gets? The very first ones are, in my opinion, the most desirable and aesthetically pleasing.
@@andrewwilson8317 Nope, not even close. But the 930 is a beautiful car. 964's are the epitome of all things 911 air cooled and still have the upright headlights (vs. the 993 right after) because they cleaned all that crap up that was mandated in the US in the '80s. NOTHING beats a lowered 964 style-wise. Not even the long nose old ones (although those are bad ass too). I've owned both the 964 and long nose. Funny how both used to be considered the ugly ones- now in hindsight they're both the most desirable with the cleanest aesthetic.
Looks good and clean. Just ordered an IROC rear bumper to basically do the exact same thing. Always love your turbo videos and they have all bits of good info in them.
I like that. If you guys don't already have one a pallet jack can be crazy usefull around the shop for moving engines and suspension-less cars around on that sweet smooth floor. Sometimes you can get them for free if they have had minor cosmetic damage since they can't be used by a company if they have been slightly compromised.
Much better without the little bumpers, sleek and lighter. If the rear gets hit it's going to be bad either way, so why not live dangerously and go for the better look? Good call. ✌😎
So much better... I think anything you do, to make it look like it's intended design by the guys at Porsche, is moving in the right direction. Obviously the designers would never have added that crap. So I don't think the "Porsche Purists" can even complain about this move.
I really hope you used some anti-seize on those bumper mounting bolts! Carriage bolts in aluminum is just asking for trouble. Anything happens to those threads, and it takes any force to break them free, you'll round out that aluminum and end up with bolts that just spin. Been there and done that. Anti-seize is your friend! I like the shaved look.
Super clean. Always hated those pumpers, especially the US versions, yours looks a lot better now. Unfortunately it does show up the paint on the rest of the car (hopefully it'll clean up)! ;)
The smoothed (shaved) bumper looks great, even those little number plate lights are awesome. Just one down side, no more love taps when reversing her... ;-)
Wondering if you can get pieces to replace the corrugated covers on the sides? Should further clean that up. The bumper looks waaay better! We need slim plates in this country.
It looks really good. I do wonder how much you compromise the structure at the back of the car by doing this sort of thing though. Maybe in your case, since you still went with an aluminum bumper (instead of fiberglass or CF), it's not that big of a change. But if people start removing this and that (crash bars, different pieces of structural support, rubber/dampening material, etc.), I have to think that they risk their actual car by doing so. A 5-10MPH impact with the bumperettes probably wouldn't be too bad. Remove those, and then tinker with the stuff underneath, and there's a good chance you bend the shit out of your rear fenders in such a case, and may even damage the engine itself. There are so many benefits -- cosmetically and functionally (less weight) -- to doing some of this stuff, but the downsides are there and people don't really want to ever talk about those.
Did you consider that there may be galvanic corrosion between the steel bolts and aluminium after a while? If not put some duralac between the steel bolt, mounts and aluminium so the bumpers don’t rot from the inside out!
Looks much better. Nice work.
LOVE the new, shaved look of the bumper! It fits the overall theme of the car. Refined/updated, but retaining the classic Porsche aesthetics. GG Pete.
What about the purity?
Mighty Car Mods, 2018
Lol those guys are a riot.
Lord do license plates ugly things up. Love the new bumper JP!
Very cool

Was literally just looking so see if there was a lot to remove the 930 bumperettes 2 days ago. So, so rad. Watched all the vids on this build twice!
Thank you! Its an involved job but the look is so much better IMO
Good choice on removing those bumperettes, PT. Looks very sleek and clean, I dig it.
I think this is my favorite series!! Another series finishes up!
Looks great. That and Connie are my two favs on the channel.
So happy you did this! The clean European bumpers look so much nicer. The Porsche 911 that looks better the older it gets? The very first ones are, in my opinion, the most desirable and aesthetically pleasing.
I really wanted a 964 but the look of this car has grown on me tremendously.
Speed Academy what you got is way way nicer. 930 turbo a very desirable and valuable car. Beats 964 any day!

Andrew Wilson Also Brazilian/Chilean/Australian/Chinese license plates can fit.
Pete you're like an engineering genius or at least you're unorthodox way of putting things together
I'll take one or the other haha!
Definitely a big improvement. How it should’ve been new. Clean and sleek.
Looks good, glad to hear about the progress.
Those little LED lights are a wicked idea!!
Thanks, they worked out so well.
Looks sick!! The number plate lights are genius!
It's about time you bring back the Porsche... I love this car
Looks good and clean. Just ordered an IROC rear bumper to basically do the exact same thing. Always love your turbo videos and they have all bits of good info in them.
Thanks Max!
THE PURITY
Great job.the led lights on the plate's bolts are the best.
Absolutely love the shaved bumper look! My dad will love this for his car!
I like that.

Will look into one!
The look is definitely a good improvement
Super clean finished product, looks awesome Pete.
Thanks!
Everything about that 930 is Dreamy.
Very nice mod.
Much better without the little bumpers, sleek and lighter. If the rear gets hit it's going to be bad either way, so why not live dangerously and go for the better look? Good call. ✌😎
Looks great PT. Your fab skills are getting good, man.
Thank you!
Bloody awesome PT this is the car that brought me to your channel mate it’s great to see it come o far in the last three years
Thank you! Its slow but steady process on it.

Damn that looks so good. Definitely looks alot better those little lights are badass I need to get some
Looks fantastic, Pete.
I don't really mind the bumperettes but this shaved look looks good 👌
Way fresh ! Good video Pete!

Well put!
I do love the shaved smooth look.
... it looks good on cars too.
really nice job, it looks 1000x better.

It looks perfect! Well worth the effort!
Awesome solution to lighting very cool!!!
Its bootyful
Looks awesome, not too modern. Just right
This car is why I'm a subscriber. The TurboKraft engine build series was fantastic. Encourage everyone to go back and watch.
Thanks!
I neeeed those licence plate lights PT!! great find.
AYardley motorcycle guys use those for Tail tucks and cleanups. If that helps.
looks great! Why not get rid of the wrinkley things on the side too?
Wow, what a difference! Great job!
I love that car.. That car is why I first subscribed! Need more
A (euro) 964 bumber would look awesome. Much cleaner without the strange black plastic accoreion thing. Your in between mix looks nice too.
Looks nice and clean
Need to repaint the entire car now
Well done! 🎉
I would love to see a collaboration with y'all and Mighty Car Mods....

Nice work!
Approved!! 👍👍
Good look, you should make license plate holders with built in LED lighting around the inside to light up the plate
Just one down side, no more love taps when reversing her... ;-)
Let's hope that never happens!
looks good , will look great when the car is clean to match the bumper :)
I wish I had a 911 like yours!
I'm pretty sure this was originally the designers intent until the safety nerds got a hold of it. Nice job and it looks fantastic.
Weird how the US market added these yet youre totally ok with suvs and bullbars etc
Looks really good, melikes.
Love it! The Euro-spec is how Porsche designed the 911. (And other models..) Next up is the gigantor front bumper..?
Really clean!
It looks awesome!
Yes! Very clean look. I love the engineering work too.
Looks great 👍 love the clean look now in the rear.
Looks awesome! 👌🏼
Looks pretty good!!!
Awesome episode
+1 Whos is tell speed academy is the best
nice job Pete, Thumbs up!
Great job. looks perfect
Nailed it, and F purity really. Looks so much better.
Great job
Looks awesome man! Any way that you can get rid of the other two accordion like pieces on the side? That would just finish off the look imo.
There are fiberglass bumpers that get rid of but I decided against it since the front still has those pieces so it wouldnt match.
Wondering if you can get pieces to replace the corrugated covers on the sides? Should further clean that up. The bumper looks waaay better! We need slim plates in this country.
Nice work
If I just wanted to replace the pillow-sized Fed bumperettes with Eurospec I’d be happy. Does doing so require changes to the bumper?
Any update on this fantastic car ?
Looks great! Now it just needs a RUF front bumper to make it even cleaner and sleeker!
Been looking for years now!
Best of luck on the hunt, those parts are made out of unobtanium
What bolts did you use? Steel will cross contaminate with aluminium
Damn that looks great!
looks amazing
Very good work, looks much better and please dont say 930 turbo ever again!
I think it needs a ruf spoiler or something... Idk, there's something about that spoiler...
Looks good
Perfect

Can u post a video or pictures on your website showing the before and after? Kinda hard to tell.
i like it! can you show us the detailing too PT? like you guys did with the Civic?
Gorgeous!
Way worth it
Good choice.
Did you consider that there may be galvanic corrosion between the steel bolts and aluminium after a while? If not put some duralac between the steel bolt, mounts and aluminium so the bumpers don’t rot from the inside out!
As it should be.
👍🏻
Love it!
