    🎨 CADMIUM YELLOW DEEP 🎨
    Hi there! In this episode of The Paint Show we'll review Cadmium Yellow Deep, by ShinHan's PWC line of watercolor paints.
    I'm really enjoying this paint, and have used it extensively in my recent paintings.
    If you like it, be sure to check out my review of the whole set I purchased, here:

    🎨 PAINT INFO 🎨
    Pigment - PY35 (Cadmium Yellow)
    (You won't find this one in Daniel Smith's Cadmium Yellows, as they avoid cadmium pigments. If you wish to avoid them, I would recommend not using this one. Though this is perfectly safe as long as used as intended by the manufacturer).
    Lightfastness - 3/3
    Semi-Opaque
    Series - D (relatively pricy)
    Non-granulating.
    I will mention this paint does feel very opaque from my experience. If you are into transparent colors skip this one (;
    🎨 PURCHASE THIS 🎨
    So far I haven't found individual tubes on Amazon, but ShinHan do have sets of the PWC series.
    They are pretty economic, so I would recommend checking them out here (affiliate links):

    🎨 CONCLUSION 🎨
    I really hope you enjoyed this review! Let me know what you think in a comment below, and if you have any requests for paints.
    I hope you have a great day / night, and we'll talk soon (;

    The second part of the quinn rose's mixes look a lot like the pyrrol scarlet so if you use that you get more variations? And the greens are pretty standard. My vote is for quinn

      Great vote (;
      And I agree, they look surprisingly similar when mixed like that.

    I don't currently have any cadmiums, but I do know the surface hue of hansa yellow deep (PY65) And the "deep" shades of cadmium yellow are usually quite close, cadmium being slightly more orange. Considering one of my favorite mixes is ultramarine (usually a redder shade) with hansa yellow deep or yellow ochre, I think this ultramarine mix you did would be very nice. The hansa yellow and yellow ochre both make a near neutral with the ultramarine, there's still abit of green there, but it's negligible enough to be registered as a gray to the naked eye. The separation of the ultramarine from these mixtures is gorgeous, it makes a very nice stone, or street pavement color depending if you lean the mix more blue or more yellow. Judging by the mix on the far right of your ultramarine cadmium swatch, there does seem to be a few spots of near gray. If you do any cityscapes, I would suggest giving that mix a try on street pavement, infact, the cad yellow deep by itself would make gorgeous yellow street lines on your pavement, so it would be in both parts of the street. I wouldn't know if the mix separates like it does with the PY65 or the yellow ochre though.

      Thank you for sharing (:
      I've been using that Cad Yellow Deep for several "yellow" sunny streets in Florence, and I love the result.
      I also agree about mixing with French Ultramarine. The result is a beautiful grey.

      It tends to create more muted greens that I love too.
