Why hasn't anybody commented about the pink Squire HSS Strat? Beautiful looking and sounding guitar. Speaking about sounding awesome, Lee has never sounded better.
Cheers fellas!!
squier to me is the fender of this generation
The green thin line is gorgeous
man, the baritone guitar + the Cloudburst pedal is a winning combination. What a great sound.
I love Squier! I have a 40th anniversary strat and love it! The vintage edition 🔥
I just ordered the Purple baritone from your website. Never used a baritone guitar before, but always great to have something different in the collection. Thanks for all the great video's!
Pete sounds amazing on the baritone 😮😮😮 always great to watch your Videos thanks and greets from Austria
These are amazing! Love the Thinlines!
A 60s Thinline Tele in the Purple Sparkle would love absolutely 👌
I really love that you guys keep doing all these amazing shoes with truly affordable gear. An endless array of Squiers played through a 50W Katana with such taste and enthusiasm. I think you’re inspiring a lot of people to start playing guitar who otherwise might not because they think it will be too expensive or complicated. Of course, we can’t all play like Pete (or you, Lee) but we can get started very easily. Thank you!
Jeez, the seqence Pete plays at 8:50 with the Cloudburst is just so sweet. "I dunno it's just nice." You ain't kidding.
Recently found all you guys old lessons with Justin and Pete- when he did the backing tracks thing. This channel rocks, I've been playing over 30 years and I learned a lot watching those lessons. I learned more what I was doing than how to do it but- it's good to know why something works. I've always just relied on the fact that it sounds good, but now I understand why it sounds good- and why some of it sounded bad.
Something else I've learned watching interviews Beato does with different artists- restriction breeds creativity. That's a very counter intuitive point, but it's very true- Maynard of Tool talks about it often. He will choose a synth for instance- an old analogue synth- and then force himself to create with only the sounds on that synthesizer. In the same respect- learning theory which gives you a pool of potential to choose from- restricts you to the chords and notes within that scale- but it's not a 1 for 1 roadmap nor does this restriction stifle your creativity. It does just the opposite, it opens it up. And of course, it's not like someone is going to spank your hands if you do find yourself using a chord that's not in the scale- that's a sound all its own to- Nirvana made a career of playing out of key. Or maybe you're good enough to modulate keys- I'm not, but I'll get there eventually. My point is that ppl shouldn't view scales or theory as restrictive or stifling- that's incorrect. Stop buying into cliches about such things and you'll do yourself a massive favor.
Those thinlines look great!
I love shell pink but I wish these were more of a faded shell pink
Love the colors
Squier teles are really nice guitars. I have a blue Squier esquire and love the double bound Look
I bought an Eastcoast baritone from you around Xmas (the blue finish is incredible by the way) and I adore it, it’s perfect for the ambient stuff I play, my nephew is a metaller and his baritone has humbuckers and a whammy, plus locking tuners. He tunes the strings B to B and I tune mine A to A and we both dislike one another’s; therein lies the definitive two ways of using baritones in my humble opinion.
The jam at the end is a mix between early 2000's pop rock and 70's classic rock. Sounds great 👍
Got that Squire FSR CV Custom purple sparkle baritone. Comes strung with .014-.068... I put flat wounds .015-..060 on it. Stunning finish !@!! 🤩
Geez Pete is a bloody good guitarist. Not just technically but creatively. He just makes guitars sing.
Pete has such a lovely touch 👍🏻
Pete's solos over intro were top drawer!
Squier is just awe inspiring at this point! LOVE the darker maple shade on the necks. A sparkling baritone? Gimme gimme!
I just bought the purple squier baritone. It’s a gorgeous guitar. Squier are killing it.
Those maple necks look so nice especially given that these are squiers
I've been thinking of getting a Squier lately, I love the yellow one.
I use my Squier Baritone I got from you for ambient music. Highly recommend getting a baritone
if you haven’t got one as they are a game changer and it’s become my main guitar.
I have one of those baritones with a set of Monty's DP51's in it . It sounds really great .
Seems like Squier is making something cool🎉
How do you keep nailing it every time lol, I want that Keef one now
I’m getting that sparkly purple to mod and turn into my dream telecaster
What I was waiting for, purple sparkle ordered
Wow. Pete is on form with those Baritones!
My latest Squier is a Paranormal Cabronita. I didn't like the pups cross between Jazzmaster coil with P90 magnets. So I replaced them with Vintage Fender 65 Jazzmaster. A whole new ballgame now.
The Baritone guitar was popular in the 60's. The Beatles used a Fender Bass Vl and Carol Kaye used a Danoelectric baritone on "Wichita Lineman", as it was in the stable of the Wrecking Crew and you can hear it on a ton of recordings from that era, like the Beach Boys songs.
Do you need one? Maybe not...
Do you want one? Hells Yeah!
I think Ian Mackaye (Minor Threat/Fugazi) plays one.
Nice! Butterscotch Blonde HS Telecaster on the way.
Wow these guitars
Hearing Pete say "purply" and "bluey" put a smile on my face
great guitars!
Ah, Lee and Pete and a whole video about heaps of great and affordable Teles! What's not to like! Good times!
Thinlines look amazing
They are all good thanks for exposing
Pete has been kissed by the angel of music... what a talented guy
I still saving for a squire cabronita, but I am really exited to get one.
Needed more cowbell on the closing jam.
That purple baritone Tele though....💜😈
Guitar center by me has some of the black baritone teles. There is a big handwritten sign on them saying "Don't tune to standard!" which I think is pretty funny.😆
Today I'm quite glad Fender treat lefties like dirt, I'd be wanting one of each!
Im diggin the olive green with P90s and the blackguard nocaster style.
Edit:
I like the looks of the purple but i dont get into the chug chug riffs. I like the 60s 70s rock tones. Example is the 1970s Aerosmith music. Brad whitford and Joe Perry was just my idea of the perfect tone in all their songs but Last child is one of my favorites. Phil X is my favorite player nowadays along with Joe Bonamassa, they cover what i prefer to play and the tones they have is what my ears like.
Squier is dominating the warm tone market
why skip forward?.....love watching you guys play
You guys are awesome, FSR is a great value for sure! #shellpinkstrat
I need more FSR Vinteras.
I like to keep the low E and tune it to G in my open G tuning. Low to high it’s GGDGBD .
I think Pete just sold a whole boatload of those telecasters !
Yikes! I would love to have another Squier thinline. The one I had was lovely.
I was today years old when I learned Keith Richards keeps the low E off! Very interesting! There’s a band called Do Make Say Think, and one of the guitarists leaves the high E off, and even removed the tuning peg so you couldn’t put a string on even if you wanted to!
Lol. It's true Keith was an innovator. I was working backstage at a Stones stadium concert event back in '82. So I got to wandering around the stage and being a guitar player myself, I noticed a beat up old Tele sitting in its stand and the Low E was missing. I figured someone had broken the string during the sound check. Found out 3 years later that Keith did this intentionally and ever since then, I have had a Tele of some sort, sans the Low E, laying around for just such an occasion.
Note; it frees up the strum, so that the A string is struck first and vibrates a bit faster because of it. At least that's my theory.
In open G
I like the Keef jobs.
Pete playing doom is what I needed today.
Really good guitars.. Squier is definitely the go to brand for anything Fender at a reasonable price.. Then just get a good setup, maybe some fret polish and you're good to go. Just stick with Classic Vibe though, Affinity and under isn't always up to par.
Please Andertons, do a FSR Squier Mustang in shell pink or purple.
I would buy all of them!!
Get a pink Fender Player/Offset Srries Mustang.
A question about your studio chairs? As I've watched your vids through the years, I've noticed and assortment of chairs you guys use. Do you have any favorites you keep coming back to, an if so, could you offer any suggestions? I'm setting up my 1st home studio, and am trying to make a few buying decisions about chairs. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might offer.
Danish Pete- Nice kicks!
"he's doing yoga and that's why he's still alive" hahahaha, bless you Pete. Keep playing those guitars. ;)
Spanky Captain Lee!
Keef forever !!
Hey Awesome editor, please put that Pete part at bout 9 min. In a highlight jam reel one day!
I love the Thinline and the Barytone ! Stop I don't have money 🤣🤣
Wish Squier have added 7 String Teles and Strats with 27 inch necks. Also it would be cool for Squier to add 35" Inch 5 string basses. Similar to Classic Vibe series but could have named it Modern Vibe series
I would kill for some painted headstock FSR squiers, it seems to be something quite uncommon in the lower end fender instruments and Squier as a whole
non of the retailers mention that the Indo classic vibe teles ferrulles on the back are all over the place as if they dont have the machine to do the job right
Please do a roadworn Micawber. Please. I’ll buy two.
This might be a ridiculous question but why isn’t there a thinline tele with the controls mounted on the horizontal bar like a lot of the other tele’s have? I much prefer the appearance of those controls
Hi lee and pete, oh how I love the army green tele with the p-90s , can you tell me how to get one.??? I just got to have one thanks guys you are the best , no iam not joking
oof.. gold or sherwood green..decisions decisions.. I have a set of Montys pickups that would go into the tele custom esque humbucker one, I could also get a DP set to go into the thinline.. oh man I think I need one of each haha
Lee or Pete: what exactly is the difference in the purple baritone and the green squire Lee is holding?
Debating buying that purple baritone and swapping the neck to tune it to standard. Purple sparkle telecasters are pretty rare.
I’m doing the same, buying the purple telecaster selling the neck and then buying a fender neck to replace it
Question: How does the FSR Tele HS compare to a CV 70s Tele Custom with the wide range humbucker?
What about a 27" scale stripped down hard tail Jazzmaster baritone with two humbuckers or two P90s.
Any Left Handed Versions?
Instant Melvins at 10:30.
will there be a new paranormal line this year?
Fellas....Harley Benton makes a TE-53KR Keith Richards Tribute Tele....heavy as hell (approx. 10lbs) It looks like Keiths "Micawber" with HS config and 6 saddles. Butterscotch color.
but its 12 inch radius and D neck compared 9.5 with C with is closer spec to Keith 54 tele
3:48 "Anderson's"?
I know there are people out there that collect every pair of J's that come out, or every Airforce 1. I hope to goodness pie that someone is collecting all these FSR's from Squier.
Are these only available through Andertons? I can't find them anywhere else local or online???
I live in Canada and don't want to ship from the UK.
What are the chords that Pete plays in the Outro Jam? It looks like A G and D to me.
Are these UK only? Trying to find that olive baritone and I'm getting nothing.
A pink paisley Tele custom with p90s next please
That's one for me: Teles all over the place
That Keith Richards is just my cup of tea ... Squier did it again .... great axes
Thanks a lot for sharing
Can I just slap a regular Tele neck on a baritone body?
Was excited to grab one of the baritones. I live in the US tho and it says not available for my location on the website. Anything I can do to grab one?
Same question here. I would love to buy one to ship to US.
Please make the Sherwood Green one available in the Fender Player series, and you can keep my money ;)
Please let us from Canada purchase them! We miss out on all them.
I would totally order the purple tele baritone, but I only see 'Unavailable for your location' button. Are these not available to ship to US?
Dealers get exclusive color ways in exchange for large orders. When Anderton's gets a FSR run, Chicago Music Exchange often has them as well, but not every time.
squier keeps making it hard to justify paying for the fender logo
Need new FSR jazzmasters. Crossing fingers for a black one with red tortoiseshell pick guard.
Hi guys why as your video picture quality dropped seems a bit grainy ??
Can I just buy a baritone neck and slap it on a regular Tele body?
the fact that those purple baritone teles don't ship to canada breaks my heart :(
Why aren’t Fender doing a humbucker tele (or did I just miss it)?
they do time to time, but fender doesnt do good humbuckers xd. But top from my mind tele performer series has humbucker on neck.
I think the firebird was the best
