Is it safe to extend the riser to full length on a boom stand or is there a rule for how far to go out?

I am looking at hanging a Aputure Nova P300 light. I have the baby Jr triple riser for simple set-up's but now I am looking to boom it over. The light is just over 22 lbs and when you add an a modifier you are close to the 25lb limit. Would you suggest your larger boom...with lots of counterweight, or the Mini Max Boom. Also, can you do an updated video on the Mini Max Boom? Thanks for all your videos...they help!
