Hats off to you for knowing your gear and putting out an informative video. I recently bought a Klim Badlands Pro jacket but you’re making want to splurge for the Passage jacket and pants.
I love the fact that Harley has finally started selling adventure riding gear! It sucks that it took developing an adventure bike to get it though. Adventure gear is so much more adaptable than leather jackets and chaps. Granted I’ve used leathers quite a bit over the years, but they become limited at a certain point. If I’m going on a cross country trip, I would hands down bring my adventure gear. It’s waterproof, breathes better than leather, and if necessary I can wear more layers under the adventure gear than my leathers. All the while staying a bit cooler since my adventure gear isn’t black and absorbing all the heat from the sun. The downside to a lot of the adventure gear being sold these days, the manufacturers are making the gear out of cheaper and lighter synthetic materials that melt very easily in their over pants if they accidentally touch the exhaust pipe. The manufacturers need to start making protective heat shielding on the inseams again to prevent them from being melted. It looks like on both these new pants that Harley has come out with, they have protection there, which is great! The only reason why I personally won’t purchase this gear is that passage line doesn’t have a zip in thermal liner. I won’t purchase the Grit line is because it doesn’t have the built in waterproofing, but a removable waterproof liner instead. And another reason I won’t purchase either sets of pants, is because the leg zippers stop at the knee rather than going all the way to the hip for easy on, easy off. Just my two cents. Otherwise, both sets of gear look great to me!
Great info and really nice gear. The day I went and purchased my PA at a Southern Ca. dealer, I walked over to the clothing area and asked to see the Adventure Clothing. The girl behind the counter said, "We're not going to carry it." I asked why not, and she said, "For the same reason we won't carry an Adventure Bike, because we're not going to sell them." I told her, "That's weird, because I just bought one. She told me that if I wanted Adventure gear I could order it online, but if it doesn't fit or there's a problem, I'm stuck with it. She had a really bad attitude from the moment I mentioned the word Adventure. Hope dealers don't treat this bike the way they did the Buell.
I’ve got the vintage look vented cafe jacket and for 250 out of the Harley shop it’s easily the best deal I’ve gotten. I had to buy my own armor but I prefer that. I’ll keep wearing it when I get the Pan America. If this gear is as good I’d consider it.
Interesting, but I don't think you mentioned the two most important things! What is the body armor type and where is it? And what material are the helmets made out of? If it's not D30 level 2 armor with a full spine protector, or if the helmets are polycarbonate, then proper Adv riders simply won't buy them. Same with separated Goretex liners, they have to be fully bonded to the outer. The bike is great, but they should have worked with the best (Rukka/Klim/Arai/Shoei) on the Adv clothing side.
I just gonna wear my cut-off t-shirt, jeans and Frankenstein boots topping it off with a half-helmet on my Pan American. Seriously, I ride a SGS and been looking at Revit, Klim gear because of the different weather I get caught up in riding all year long. I get sunburnt easily so I avoid the t-shirt thing under 90 degrees. I wear a full helmet because I get caught in the rain often and it works best for interstate speeds. I like my Frankenstein boots except for walking around. Who hates having to deal with putting rain gear on or taking it off especially out on the road and the same goes for heated gear? I have probably $3,000 to $4,000 worth of riding gear in my closet and if I can find a combo like this to fit most needs then it's worth it. Plus, I am planning on adding a Pan America to my stables. Just think about it, this is going to be a cultural difference at dealerships when the Pan America riders are many. Great review and I couldn't tell that much from the Harley website about the products so your video helped out a lot.
We are using the riding gear ourselves. Our owner has Klim gear and the new REV'IT gear from Harley-Davidson. He's ~6'5" and the REV'IT gear fits better than the Klim gear, but both make quality gear.
Inventory changes daily due to high demand for the product. Please reach out to tetonparts@tetonharley.com for inquiries on specific parts you're looking for.
As good as Revit gear is technically, we need a Harley cool factor that just doesn’t exist here in these jackets. Harley designers please rethink this and start looking at gear that does not belong on a BMW GS and does belong on a PanAmerica. Look at your own Trego jacket for inspiration.
Love the Trego jacket! Hopefully, there will be more options in the future. The REV'IT gear is good technical gear and we're glad that Harley-Davidson has decided to partner with a quality riding gear manufacturers right out of the gate.
@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 agreed that they picked a very good partner and maybe have design input on the next gear as the suit is an existing Revit product with some Harley badging.
When they start making air conditioned gear I’ll get back on a bike. Heard the panamerica runs hot. To bad for me. I’ll stick to my air conditioned car.

We can always use new gear in our closet, right? Thanks for watching.

Sorry to hear you had a poor experience. We're 100% behind this bike and segment and fully stocked with the adventure gear.

Good presentation !!! stay safe ( Do I detect a REV'IT logo ? )
Yes you do. REV'IT makes the Harley-Davidson gear.
@@grandtetonharley-davidson8690 Good quality..used various types of their gear..many years
Very good very informative video thanks a lot
Glad you liked it

Nice gear. All of it is very expensive though.
Do the helmets have Bluetooth and speakers built in?
The Bluetooth headset needs to be purchase separately.
But where is the gear made? There are some great US made gear for all of that (except the helmets ;_; ).
I'll stick with my 30 year old Black Harley leather and Levis
I hear yea! Why do different bikes require different gear? I wear same gear from my hayabusa days to my RGS now.
Do you guys have any parts and accessories in stock for this thing

Do you any of this in stock?
We have plenty in stock right now.
Glad to see Harley steering away from their cheap looking swap meet apparel. Teaming up with revit was a really good idea.
What about a cut?

TO BAD THEY DON'T MAKE IT FOR BIGGER GUYS!
For $800, the jacket should make you breakfast. Ridiculous.

Weak. This is a rider's channel. Some people are just too soft to ride.
Love the bike. Hate sweaty balls. Maybe just ball a/c.
