- Get Level Touch today! level.co/produ...
A few weeks ago, I did a video on Level Bolt - a complete re-imagination of what a smart lock should be. Fast forward to now, Level is back with a new product that pushes the envelope even further, meet Level Touch! Let me breakdown what's new here and why I think it's the smart lock to beat.

Is it possible to change the celadon in the touch. I live in an apartment and they have best High security key way. which is kind of like medico. So in order or need to use the touch I need to change the key way and it has a 1 inch cylinder that would have to go into the touch. I did not see in the video the back front of the lock. Is there any inside you can give
I think that you should’ve also cut the Level bolt’s bolt and tell us how much “effort” went into to each!
John you need to be clear about the strike plate you left off your door jam in order to get this dead bolt to operate. At 5:04 it's clear that it's missing and I like to know why?
Get the Lockpicking Lawyer on here
How much you wanna bet it unlocks with a strong magnet?
Good news, everyone
I installed Level Bolts in my doors and love them. They can be a little squirrelly with Siri but otherwise they are wonderful. I did need to replace my very old deadbolts as the “puck” did not fit inside. Newer version of same lock worked just fine.
Finally! Ive been waiting for a review of this for months
Except... You can still lock yourself out of your own home. Since they have touch included, there should be an "emergency mode" where you touch and hold for a certain amount of time to go into "tap mode" and tap a pin number in to gain access. As an example, touch and hold for 5 seconds, then Tap tap tap. Tap. Tap tap tap tap tap. Tap tap. (3152) and it unlocks. A little cumbersome, but since there is no keypad which is a great feature on competitors models, this would cover that option.
I have a very expensive, beautiful front door that is solid and you need a car to drive through it, it also has glass panels on the side you could smash out in 2 seconds and open the lock as do most of my neighbors. 😂 You could also just smash the glass patio door and so on and so on. Like Zack from Jerryrigeverything says, "Glass is glass and glass breaks". 🤷♂️ I do like the interior door lock use though, pretty cool.
What happen if you forget the phone in the house and the lock is auto lock? Wish that they have fingerprint scanner that can be installed on the doe exterior.
If smart locks were more affordable I'd get them but currently no because of the 3+ deadbolts I'd have to buy. Love the idea but I'll stick to keys till they get cheaper
Useful information about smart home. Love the video
Gday just to be clear not any random person can touch the lock for it to open...u must have the app on your fone in close proximity for u to touch and open?
Great job love your vids you make my day!
Reading the comments, I see a lot of people saying it seems easy to pick or hack. It seems like a lot of people are a bit delusional about how long it would take for someone to drill out any deadbolt and the perceived security they provide. I think it's a great smart lock solution for people actually in the market.
I can’t wait for the next console wars #ps 5 vs xbox series x. The series was the most exciting series on this channel. Can’t wait🤞🏿
Hey, I currently have a lockly lock with the wifi hub / sensor, but auto lock is triggered even if the door is open.
Just wanted to confirm the level touch remains unlocked when the door is open? And is smart enough to auto lock when the door is closed.
Also, is wifi built in for remote access?
Cheers
if you're within bluetooth range of the door (inside) and someone outside touches the lock, will it unlock?
That's a good question? Hmmmm 🤔
No one had mentioned if Level Touch is good for outdoor (sheltered) area. Also how often we need to replace the battery?
Nice video Jon!
How does it know if my phone is on the inside or outside of the door? If I'm inside near my door, can anyone off the street just touch the lock and get in?
it actually only activates the touch feature if you have the geofence turned on. It triggers when you leave the geo fence area and activates the touch when you come back into the geo fence area. so if you are already in the home it will not activate the touch feature.
Yes if you're close to the door, anyone passing by can touch and open it
1 year later I did a search and found this comment because I don’t have the app on my phone and was able to open my in laws house. So the research started..has this glitch been fixed?
Touch to unlock worked yesterday, but not today. We have a small window to return it if we don't like it, and I don't know how to make it consistent. So frustrating.
I have had my locks for 1.5 yr and the touch to unlock has been very unstable for the past 3-6 months. I would not keep it if it is a deciding factor for you.
Aw man. I was hoping you'd be cutting through the level touch bolt as well to show the insides of that. I guess I was hoping for too much that you'd be slicing up the sponsor's product in their own video. Still enlightening. There's a few different products on the rise lately and I've been keeping my eyes on Latch.
Lockpicking Lawyer would take that lock apart by just looking at it sternly.
There is nothing to pick. It doesn’t include that part of the door lock mechanism
I always thought this things would be wired inside of the doors and eventually the doors would have to have those spaces for the wires and cables, but looks like batteries are enough
Oh man do I want this. Keys are so last century. I hate carrying around keys.
But when I am in my house my phone is near and anyone can enter
Same question!
why do i need a card instead of just sending them a code on their phone?
It needs local control for me to consider it. (MQTT, Zigbee, or Z-wave)
do the touch works with apple watch? i dont usually turn on my bluetooth on my phone to save battery
Can you open with the nfc chip built into your phone
John, people prefer smart things or more sturdy things? Just wanted to know preference in your country!
By the way come to India and visit our lock factory!! You are warmly welcomed!😊
Can you use a nfc ring as a key or the app is restricted to the level nfc cards only
We have a touch ID front door lock and it suffers from the same problem as my iPhone 7 Plus. My sweaty fingers. I long for FACEID on my next phone.
dont worry the touch is to just activate the system, its not reading your finger print.
@@wyrmmm Ours is. Every member of our household is registered with their own unique fingerprint, just like on a smartphone.
"Super secure" means I can take a bumping key, yo, and open your "Super secure" lock in a matter of seconds =D
Its very nice a video 👍👏🏻🤩
I’m IN!!!
Will it work with anyone’s touch?
Does it auto close like eufy ?
This guy has the most perfect nose
Price?
What changed? Is this channel just ads now?
You cut the traditional lock but not the level touch, and if u think about it, the battery on the lock isn't really safe...I'm sorry but this is another case of putting "smart" in things that are not needed. many companies have cards to enter locations and at a much cheaper price.
Nice
Does it have z wave?
Love from india ❤️💥
Does this channel ever have content that isn't based on praising a company that sponsors the video???
Not really...
This channel is dying
This thing looks cool but at $330 it just doesn't make sense for most people
Yes
Yo only one man can really test this 👀
Who?

then we will start seeing people with their fingers hacked off by criminals to get into their house.....
Stupid. Thought it was cool at first, when I believed it was operating by your actual fingerprint. So when my kids are outside, without a wallet or phone, there is no way to get in without a key? I'll stick to my Schlage Encodes. Doesnt get any better.
Why did I hear nothing about the little face that it has 😂 I mean look at it 1:10
only works with Apple Home Kit LOL
This infomercial needs more shouting and more, "But wait there's more!" 2/7 Wouldn't be advertised to again.
Dunno seems easy to hack 🧐
