Floor (singer) is Dutch and pipe/bouzouki/guitar and Irish bagpipes player is Troy from England. they both became full members of Nightwish late 2013 although Troy has been featured on their albums for several years.
I love your videos and appreciate your input as a classical musician! I've been a Jethro Tull fan since 1970 and wondered how Ian's playing stacked up. You have also introduced to some great bands like Nightwish. You're eloquent. Thank you.
Speaking of Irish whistles/flutes, I once saw James Galway live literally play two of them at once, playing different melodic lines with each one. Obviously could only use one hand on each whistle, but that didn't matter. It still remains one of the most impressive displays of musicianship I've ever seen in person.
Troy is an amazing musician! I subscribe to Elvann.... She is a fabulous musician and has a beautiful voice! There are so many amazing musicians and vocalist that follow Nightwish...it amazing me! I hope maybe you and Divan could cover this song...it would be fantastic!
Haha I thought you had a little 'thing' for Troy! Your whole face lights up when they show him up close!! But then I realised you're 'Fangirling' over his instruments! 😆 Great reaction !!
Just subscribed, love your enthusiasm when listening to different kinds of music, I'm a rock and metal fan,but love classical and some gothic metal,folk,ect..you seem really sweet natured too :)
I would love to see your reaction to the song Luminol by Steven Wilson. A great song with some nice flute parts. I would describe his early albums as prog rock mixed with jazz with just a dash of metal. Here is the link. ua-cam.com/video/wYfQ1I-VV7M/v-deo.html If you like that and would like to really explore Steven's music featuring flute and other wind, also check out the Watchmaker and raider 2. Raider 2 is an epic 25 minute musical journey.
Troy uses Olson whistles think this one is low D(?) and Straigh Quote from Troys interview: ""Q: What would you like to be able to play that you can’t already (if there is anything!) A: Ice Hockey !!"" Here's another one Troy plays a lot... NIGHTWISH - My Walden (OFFICIAL LIVE) ua-cam.com/video/J8Xwr1kTEdk/v-deo.html

I like your way of presentation and that you're kind of giving a somewhat underestimated instrument a "charismatic voice".

chk out Nichole and her flute: from Brule (a band) it is against their customs for a woman to play a wood flute so she what she does with a metal one.

Check out Nightwish when Tarja Tarunen was still with the band. A thousand times better with her opera trained voice... Incredible!
