I signed my first track to a label this past weekend, and a large part of that is due to finding your channel. Cheers mate keep up the good work
nice one!
That's great to hear Nick congrats, best of luck with the release 🙏👊
Congratulations!! Inspiring to hear :)
Excellent channel. Fantastic.
Adagio for Strings by Tiësto brings back memories. First trance song I heard as a kid and it was mesmerizing.
loving that vital neon glow!
I always love a sound design video, especially with a little music history thrown in for added context 👌. I often question if my sounds are "complex" enough to sound professional, so seeing more simple, old school sounds working so well is a helpful reminder that anything can sound great when used in the right way 👍.
It is a valid concern as the music scene is very different today. With well Over 120,000 tracks released every day something certainly needs to make you stand out!
Although the concern can be it's own solution. Look at PAWSA room service, sounds like it's from 1980 but goes off because everyone else is chasing modern 'professional' sound.
@@Bthelick It's a bit of a conundrum, isn't it! Ultimately, I know at my amateur level that I won't sound professional yet, so I try not to get too hung up on it, and instead just enjoy the process of creating my own sound, whatever that may be 👍.
In terms of trance, I've heard at recent Porter's stream that to make more authentic lead you should also make unison mono (in vital you can do that in advanced section), bcs this was how JP-8000/8080 produced that sound.
Hmmmm interesting. Unison mono gets extremely phasey. I don't remember the 8000 defaulting to that unless you only had 1 Jack plugged in.
Always got nuggets 😎
I have a perfect condition JP-8080!
No way! Someone else here is saying the jp supersaw was mono by default can you confirm?
@@BthelickI have one. It has stereo outputs and left channel can be used for mono. The JP has a massive sound with the supersaw when cranking the chorus and really nice eq. The delay also is part of the sound.
Yeah that's what I said only when using a single jack from the L.
I'm so jealous. The closest I can get to the sound is u-he diva, it does a great job but still I'd kill for a jp
Let me borrow a sentence from you to summarise this lesson: "sounds about right" :) thank you
Oh my, where can we get this Vital theme? Great content as always B!
I found it on the forums it's "default modify2" by Panasony
Epic!
Amazing content mate!!
Thank you for the presets as well... doing us all a favour as usual!
Been binging all your videos i missed while i had stuff going on, great stuff as always!
Dont suppose you could do the bass from Billy Gillies - DNA?
It sounds so simple but ive been struggling to make similar for some reason, i think its got a slight pitch bend in it but could be wrong
Please Afro House plucks
Do you use Vital over Serum because its free or do you like it more?
Both. It's a little faster ergonomically, visually much clearer, slightly more flexible in some areas, and no barrier to entry for anyone who wants to learn.
Sound wise they are on par, in fact I slightly prefer Vitals default "analog" filter behavior but it's not a deal breaker.
@@Bthelick Thanks!!!
Where is the JP 8 waveform coming from? ESW does not have a correspondingly named product on their page. Thanks in advance 👍🏻
They have 2 free wavetable packs. It's in the core pack I think.
What ESW pack is that for the Jupiter 8 Saw?
I have a couple of ESW packs & I don't have that one.
its very nice!
Great vid!
Thanks
It's from the free "core" pack
@@Bthelick & thats the one I don't have!! you legend! thanks Ill grab that now!
