I absolutely love how you make Christmas themed tutorials. One of the only blender channels that does it. Also your Geo node tutorials are the best because you explain what the nodes are actually doing, giving us a better understanding of how they work.

Fantastic tutorial, Ryan! Thank you and Merry Christmas. If I wanted to append this christmas tree into another blender project, what is the best way to export the finished tree?

Amazing! Can you please explain how to use such complicated 3d model in Unity. You should somehow make a lowpoly 3d model from it? i mean how? how to retopology this complicated form?

    • @RyanKingArt

I know how to do that with a procedural node setup. I may make a tutorial on it.

I'm loving all of the christmas themed tutorials!
I'm still in the learning phase of blender and wanted to do a themed scene, so your videos are going to be very helpful. Are you planning on doing a tinsel tutorial as well? From my basic understanding, it feels like it might be similar to how you did the christmas light blender nodes.

Thx for the tutorials. i was doing the tree myself but i struggle after 00:24:00 as the branches don't appear on the trunk but on the bottom of it ... and the map range node didn't help either as the branches just disappear. I am still beginner so do you think i messed up somehow when i modeled the trunk?

at 19:30 why does your branch have so few points on it? i have more points coming off the branch with the density at 5 than you have at 10k

I recently did a geo nodes tutorial for a staircase from 2 years ago and a lot of the nodes have changed, so I had a lot of trouble finding the replacements.
When I saw this video, I was excited to see that it was only 4 days ago.
One question I had is: Since this is a geo nodes tutorial, will it be possible to do it entirely in geo nodes. I was confused when you started modelling the parts. I guess it's the extra control and geo nodes can be confusing.
I'll see if I can do it

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  Рік тому

yes you could model the entire thing with geo-nodes, but I don't see much point to that since hand modeling the needles and branches are very easy.

I didn't expect such a thing, and I've encountered it for the 1st time.
    1. If you want a texture, you have to pay me, but the lesson is free.
    2. In the lesson Christmas Lights? Well pay me for it, and so the lesson is free.
If you hope for an hour to make a Christmas tree, then no, the author made a setup within another setup to make money and other videos to promote.
I hope a dollar goes down your throat.
