    One good feeling knife. It makes a nice carving i agree. ESEE and Bolieu came up with a good design on this one.

    I just bought the PR4 and absolutely love it, this intrigues me as well. Nice little knife!
    I'm using my PR4 with my Council Tool Woodcraft Axe and it's a perfect woods setup for my needs. I sold my Junglas and regret it, I'll be buying another one.

    Thank Tim I have the RB3. I like it the edge on mine chips easily from the box so I put a convex scandi edge and that helped quite a bit.

    I love this knife. It looks like the best production general use woods knife out there.

    love my RB3 the best knife I've used so far and my preferred size. I pair with a tomahawk mostly but that my preference though i really like the scrama. I always carry a SAK or a trapper but a neck knife would work to I really like the tops MSK 2.5 great little knife.

    Thanks Tim. I am always entertained and better informed after watching your videos. Do you have a vid wherein you’re out in the woods while it’s raining and make a fire start to finish? :-)

    I bought this knife . It does state in the paperwork that comes with it. Not to baton because of the micro bevel . And I did see on UA-cam where several people damaged their knife blade by batoning . Just FYI

    I was surprised to see you baton with this knife after you refused to with the PR4 in another video. I've been working with the PR4 lately and it seems more capable of batoning then the RB3 (mainly because of the scandi grind). Is there something I'm missing here or did you just want to see what the RB3 could do?

    • @EverydayTacticalVids
      @EverydayTacticalVids  7 років тому +2

      yeah - I just did it for kicks. No real rationale. I have heard a few people say the RB3 will chip easier, but mine has been great.

    I agree with you with the rb3. Just order one and it's in the mail. However I think you should stay away from Dunkin' Donuts not good for your health.

    Don’t own an esee knife but I luv the look, size and grind on this one sheath looks nice sharp spine uncoated blade 1095 steel which is okay with me and u can’t go wrong with micarta handles probably my favorite handle material unless it’s coated with slick as snot shit luv it buy and then give it to me😁.so I can take over the world 🌎 with it when shtf.😈🔪

    Say Heah, Great idea to combine knife sets. Infact, I buy my knives like that. This way, all I do is add a hatchet and saw and Wha'La. Dilly Dilly.,,.p

    These knives look very nice but it's strange, I've never seen an ESEE anything, must not be popular in the Midwest.

    • @icephoenix418
      @icephoenix418 2 роки тому

      That so weird as they're made by Rowen Manufacturing in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Now that you've come across them, have you noticed them more frequently? Sometimes it's like buying a new car and then every car you see is like yours. Lol

      I've picked one up at Cabela's but no I've never seen anyone who owns one. I have almost 300 knives and I don't own one. 🤣🤣

      @@squirrelsurvival I really like their knives. I have the Junglas 2, the 5, JG5 and JG3. My favorite is the JG5 and my edc is the JG3. I've contemplated the RB3 for awhile. The price turns some people off, but for a transferrable, no questions asked lifetime warranty, I'm willing to pay a bit more. There are some amazing knives out there, LT Wright, Bark River, Ontario, etc, but I'm happy with Esee. I'm sure in your 300+, you've got some stellar pieces. That's impressive!

    Here's a good example of why I don't like when people refer to a true zero ground edge AND a zero ground edge with a micro bevel added as a "scandi" edge, which one is this knife? It probably has a micro bevel because the work done with it and those not very good feathers it made. But I don't know and won't until I buy it. So I'm not going to buy it because I don't know what I'm getting and $100 is too much for a guy like me to gamble.

    • @Initialgs
      @Initialgs 7 років тому

      Mt. Baldwin it’s a Scandi Grind, with no micro bevel. I was using my trusty Wade Cox knife for many years, but I picked one of these EESE knives up and whilst it is quarter the price of my Wade it is a very capable knife. As with Scandi grinds it’s straightforward to keep it sharp (I did give it a little extra edge care before use the first time, but on the whole it was decent out the box). I’ll be using this as my go to going forward as, and yes I know knives should be used, but after Mr Cox’s passing I just wanted to keep my original knife at home.

    • @Initialgs
      @Initialgs 7 років тому

      Mt. Baldwin just reading below and folks have said it comes with a micro bevel, this is odd as mine did not?!? It also cost a fair bit more over here (in the uk)... around 150 bucks.

    Nice knife, but not a 100 knife. Esee is charging too much for the name.
