- Crim and his family have come to Earth looking for a planet with clean air. They can shrink to insect size or inflate themselves to human size. They can also move small objects with their minds. That catches the eye of Mr. Noah Tall, who wants them to teach him how to do that so he can conquer the world.

Being Balloon People is the reason daughter Blinky doesn't call her father, "Pop".
The only thing about these people that isn't inflated is their egos.
I think Noah Tall and Wile E. Coyote were classmates, at one of those schools that are sort of whispered about. The kind where wealthy families send their kids, telling them it's an exclusive boarding school, but is actually a place they can dump their developmentally disabled children so they can live their society lives.
At least The Balloonians don't have to worry about The Pincushion Man!
Hopefully there are no porcupines in Marvin's backyard.
I guess they are "Balloonians" because calling themselves "Balloon-a-tics" would sound crazy.

Noah Tall is related to Dr. Noah Boddy and Count Noah Count.
Also Noah Clue from the Carmen Sandiego games.
Twisty reminds me of Professor Flakey in one of the New Scooby Doo Movies episodes starring Batman & Robin.
Sea Sucker can also be a pun on Seersucker. Noah may not be a genius at naming inventions, but the writers are on point with their pun game. I remember really liking the Balloon People and wanted to see more of them as a wee Doug.
If this happened to be a tribute to Irwin Allen's Land Of The Giants, I wouldn't be too surprised. This reads like one.
The Balloonians are a bunch of airheads.

Their voices should leave clue about their physiology. These aliens some how are able to matabolize helium.

1:50 lol , not only are arched dog houses a universal constant, but so is English, our descriptive words ( ferocious) clothing, etc.... What I always found intriguing is how alien races share the exact same concepts, and ideas that we have on Earth. Like their air on Ballonia....they have air??? atmosphere??

You're correct. I never read the comics. I go by the Wonder Dog in this series.
@@dwashbur there are also Super Friends specific comics that follow the show released back during the original run...where they revealed some information exclusive to this continuity.
Marvin and Wonder Dog are connected to Wonder Woman...HB actually did something that everyone was too scared to do at the time...and only a handfull of Wonder Woman writers very rarely toy with the idea of "It's ok for boys to like her as a friend if they like or see her as a version of their mom (depending on the boy)". Marvin White is the son of Diana Prince-White, the woman Wonder Woman got her civillian identity from and he named his dog after his aunt....and Marvin White appears to be designed a bit like Peter Brady.
