Brings back memories of growing up in the 70s. Saturdays mornings were a special time 😊
For the yolk at the end...Superman, Robin and Wonder Woman are helping, Batman and Aquaman are in on it.
What a ridiculous villian! Using a silly putty to create his empire.
I Hope King Plasto got a Ticket for Driving a Plastic Truck without a CDL
"Ods fish! The very air abounds in kings!"
That egg is bad ass!!!!😂
The twinkle in your eye and the egg on my face... (and the snake in your bed tomorrow.)
5:57 I dunno... from my knowledge, tornado winds usually spin around in circles... like you're in the world's most mobile and cursed blender...
"Odds bodkins" "Roi pronounced wah" some great linguistics in this episode. Odds bodkins is a portmanteau of "God's bodkins" which is God's dagger. Which is a very saucy exclamation for Saturday morning tv.
Heh. In Yiddish, a "grepse" is a groan, or a heavy sigh. 🤣🤣
G.R.E.P.S.? Could they not use S.T.A.R Labs? It came about, in 1971. And I wonder what Joker, Luthor, and the rest were doing, while the JLA is playing golf, in full costume. If Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne, Diana Prince, and Arthur Curry wanted to get together and play golf, that'd be one thing.
And the court jester is a delight. His little song was actually pretty good.
The government official using a direct line to the Superfriends calls because his shipment of plastic is 20 minutes late? Tell him they're sorry, but they'll have to wait because some housewife in Sandusky, Ohio called first and they need the full power of all of them to figure out why her pizza hasn't arrived yet.
I'm impressed that King Plasto managed to hollow out a mountain to the extent where it could host a small town inside. The rest of the tricks... well, suffice to say, I'd prefer to learn that the FRERP material was especially suited to miniaturization tech like that used by the Atom (and used in a mundane way to put The Flash's costume in his ring).
An Epilogue for the Episode...
King Plasto: When the case went to trial, Dick Dastardly (World War I veteran and failed race car driver) took immediate notice. Through special arrangement with the "Maury" show, the DNA results showed that Dick WAS the father.
Polly Ethel Lean: Took a plea and got probation. That probation was eventually revoked when was caught running a scam, where she claimed she was the inspiration of the Beatles song "Polythene Pam".
The Jester: Served a light sentence. Afterwards, he auditioned with his lute and vocals for "The Gong Show". The network censors were so horrified that they needed a break, which allowed the novelty act "Have You Got a Nickle?" to sneak through.
The Government: The solvent became a sticking point for the tech, as even a small amount rendered it useless, and it wasn't that hard to make. So far, efforts to create a solvent proof version have failed.
Excellent!
And apparently Roy was his first name, since Polly calls him that.
Getting roids from this roy thing.
