  • The Tucson Gem and Mineral showcase is the nucleus of the mineral trade in the US. Thousands of miners and sellers from all over the world descend on Tuscan to buy and sell crystals of all types sizes and values. In 2018, a three-and-a-half foot red tourmaline crystal was up for sale. Experts say some $5 billion worth of crystals are sold in a three-week period. How did healing Crystals go from a holistic cottage industry to mainstream markets?
Traditionally, there have been two types of buyers at the showcase: Mineral collectors and high-end gem retailers like Tiffany's and Cartier. But there’s a new wave of consumers causing a sort of mania in the gem and mineral market: healers.
The recent wave of interest in crystals started in the 1970’s with white quartz. Since then, demand has continued to grow due to increased interest in alternative healing methods bolstered by celebrity endorsements.
There are several tiers of crystal sellers: At the low end are online retailers who mainly deal in good-looking but inexpensive stones ranging in price from $5 to $1,000. In the middle are galleries and high-end Internet sellers. Those crystals sell for $1,000 to $10,000. Anything above $10,000 is at the very high end of the market.
Whether or not the crystals have scientifically-proven metaphysical powers is up for debate but people are pouring large sums of money into them.

It's not that you're doing anything wrong; it's just that you don't have the knowledge to profit in a down market. The only individuals who may earn greatly during tumultuous times like these are experts with considerable knowledge who must have observed the 2008 catastrophe. Their whole skill set is based on trading long and short at the same time, using profit-driven strategies and reducing risk as a buffer against unavoidable downtrends, thus they are well-suited to do so.

I have an immense crystal and rock collection because I love minerals and excavation. But let's not forget the fact that quartz and other minerals are able to store memory through frequency. We are electric beings with a pulse and DO have our own physical frequencies. Its plausible THROUGH science that crystals do..SOMETHING. They just dont know exactly how to explain it yet. Just like they cant explain the consciencness of plants or water. It's not ignoring science, rather being interested in it, that caused me to start collecting. Regardless of whether you believe they do any healing, they are amazing! Beautiful natural substances that Earth took many years and much energy to create.

I love crystals especially for the reason that it is used for spiritual healing. Recently I had an itching thought that maybe we are over mining the crystals and not thinking so much about what it'll do to mother earth because I see people posting online showing ridiculous amount of huge crystals being harvested and sold in outdoor markets. I really hope that is not the case. It only grows about two centimeter over a period of ten million years depending what type. With an increasing amount earthquakes going recently over the year it affects the growth rate of crystals as well. We have to be mindful of how much we harvest. We should only take only what is needed. Sorry for being a party pooper but I think it makes sense to be moderate and not get overboard with harvesting mother earth's minerals. Let's show some love and respect to mother earth.
Love and light to all taking the time to read this with an open mind. Namaste 💜

I think the healing aspect comes from your wonderment of the crystal itself. I’ve bought a few this year and every time I look at the inclusions on some of them it takes my breath away. I feel momentarily “healed” because of my surprise at how a rock can be so interesting to look at. Not to mention color/texture theory, the mental health benefits of fidgeting and an involuntarily response towards something with weight. Each crystal is made up with different chemical compounds as well so I can’t imagine your brain not trying to subconsciously figure that out.
Finally I just find a lot of crystal dealers pleasant people to deal with especially those who care about the ethical sourcing of their wares. Even if I’m not completely sold on the energy emitting thing because if that’s the case then wouldn’t everything around you technically be able to heal? Lol. Well I suppose that’s why it’s important to have an environment you’re comfortable in. But yes I digress so much more personalized than regular retail.

I’m not going to say you’re wrong because you have your own truth; I’m going to say people experiencing crystals being able to heal are experiencing that due to placing intention into a belief system, creating a confirmation bias that allows them to perceive that belief system manifest. Imagine you’re in the city and your friend asks if you can spot a yellow car. Chances are you’ll find one, but would you have noticed a yellow car if your friend hadn’t asked? Probably not. Your friend asking you is the catalyst to you being able to filter out other confirmations and focus on the one associated with the task. Same as people who believe in crystal healing, or people who believe in religions. We create the confirmation bias, which manifests the belief. Quantum physics suggests the smallest particles react to our individual observation, and react in correspondence to our experience of observation. Have a more open mind. Nothing is ever just black and white.

The factors that have contributed to the growth of the crystal industry into a multibillion-dollar market include the rising development of 5G networks, increasing adoption of advanced automotive electronics, and continuous investment in research and development by major competitors in the crystal oscillator industry to create crystals with smaller bodies and better frequency stability.

I made my own organizer from picking up rocks in the woods. And I used a piece of brass that was fitted into the end of a pool stick. Obviously it was removed from the handle of the pool stick. And yeah that was it. I had a bunch of minerals that had like little markings on him that almost seems like a script. And there were patterns in the markings almost like writing. Those ones it seems to be connected to spirits. Also yeah I've seen other things connected to spirits that had the same markings on them like a little metal box for instance. Yeah.

With respect for the earth, not dynamiting mountains. Of course that should make the crystals much more expensive, but I'ld surely pay that with joy. As sure as I am that I'm not the only one. So who is gonna jump in that gap to turn this into reality.

My friend says the healing power of crystals is real and he should know. He's a reiki master who gets $100 plus tip for waving his hands over people he meets in drum circles and spiritual retreats. He says that the temporal differential we call wakefulness is the cosmic interaction of subatomic particles operating in the quantum field, the (quantum)leap represents a fundamental universal constant that we can only speculate upon in the macro scale of waveform frequencies. I guess crystals help with that.

I just like looking at them, but as bad as it can be, it's still better that ivoey. Also, from what I've heard, most cyristal can be grown from a seed of the same cyristal if it's put back in it's formation state, like quartz in hot dark water. Might be the interest bank of the future.
