Nice work prospecting. Cool just to find some in area not know for having much gold. I don't know if you have looked into a falcon pan, but it makes clean ups faster and easier. Look up Dan Hurd's classes on cleaing up concentrates - he uses one.
Panning for gold sounds like fun but I have never done it. I live about 20 miles from lake Michigan and have had luck metal detecting the beaches early in the morning before the kids come.

Some of the easiest gold I've ever worked, was found on Lake superior, If you were going up there for vacation that's one thing if you were going up there for gold I could've told you a place to go.
I went about 60 miles east of Superior Wisconsin and on Lake Superior Wisconsin Beach was full of black sand
I haven't made it to Superior, yet, but I want to!
