Yes the bottom is soft it’s like they put some 1/2” soft cushion into the waterproof liner on the bottom. I believe this is common practice with inflatable hot tubs, my saluspa Ibiza and Relxtime hot tubs also had cushioned bottoms.

Yes that’s true, but honestly it’s not often I need to add air and a hand pump is good enough, but yes intex was thinking with that additional air port on the blower.

I clean it and freshen it up as late as I can in the fall and then I try to make that through the winter. this year I may try to do a winter water change because it does get bad going that long especially because I’m not strict about showering before going in, and all that shampoo and lotion builds up in the water.

I have a frost, free outside faucet so it turns the water off inside of the house where it’s warm and anything left in the silcock then drains out. so I was able to use it to fill the hot tub usually running water doesn’t freeze but I know Minnesota can get really cold. 🥶 I’ve seen a couple other guys on UA-cam doing it in their garage. Seems like it would hold heat better in there as well.

@@johnbaker215 I got it on Amazon I was hoping it would help remove rust / iron from well water it didn’t work like I hoped. I still use it because it breaks up the water and doesn’t hurt the tub liner because its plastic ends. As for the Iron in the water it’s in a dissolved state when it comes up from the well. Dissolved iron cannot be filtered out well without being oxidized first. So the bromine/shock in the hot tub oxidizes the iron out of the water and then the tub filter still collects it all. I just have to rinse the filters 4-5 times after filling and the water looks clear. But yea I wish that it helped a lot more. Here’s the link: amzn.to/3AJupO4

I use bromine sanitizer do you use salt water only or just add salts to bromine or chlorine sanitized water? Post the brand you like I’ll have to check it out.

I’ve noticed that the temperature isn’t as accurate when you use the blower i think it cools inside the unit near the sensor. Because when I turn the bubbles off the temp will rise back up. How ever I can make it much longer than 2-3 minutes in the cold with the bubbles. But yes it does reduce the temperature quicker.
