Some really sneaky plays by your ally on the left.
I love seeing stuff like the Harvest Hawk, not a direct combat aircraft but so cool to see it dropping off troops and equipment.
Also I like that you can see the targets being lased for the LGBs by your allied aircraft and their targeting pods.
Being able to do airdrops/heli drops like this is one of my favorite things about BA
This game is everything I wanted WARNO to be. Warno has it's little corner in the RTS genre but this game is just 💋👌

Same i ve warno but i played arrow and its much more fun to play
I enjoyed wargame back in the day, but now I find the level of micro off putting. Does broken arrow fix that?
Warno, to me, handles the scope of the conflict differently.
It seems to handle larger scale of engagements, lots of tanks, lots of inf, lots of arty. While Broken Arrow zooms in more on what engagements at this scale would look like and play like.
I think Warno just needs to take advantage of its development of scope and increase the map size to way bigger maps, more diversity in landscapes, and larger pool of militaries to play as.
Those are the characteristics that Warno can make advantage of.
@@mamidon42 To a degree, I think its not as bad as warno/wargame but there is still gonna be micro like any rts style game fs.

Yeah me too but judging from the beta and their overall output it'll probably be Q2. Can't get enough of BA. Its A good game.

It could very well be Q1 still. The server thing they said was a miscalculation on their part. They did not think as many people would want to play as they had. They just had to add more servers. Pluss the fact that they purposely wanted to overload the servers to test them.
@@deadhead7930 Q2? That's rather optimistic, no? Unless you weren't referring to the full game. Perhaps Q2 next year.
@@AuthurFoxache Nah. The game's definitely releasable at this point. It needs some work but it's going to be Q1 or Q2.

Don't know if it's a UA-cam compression thing, but watching this video made me feel dizzy - it's just frantic movement and I can't see what's going on at all.
The LAV-AD’s main gun is so satisfying to me.
Seing Vulkan play makes me fear multiplayer and I played just two matches.
Its single player as well though rjght?

When is this game supposed to take place? The latest Abrams and also M60A1s in the field? The M60 was retired in 91 from US combat service. Seems most units are modern (or fantasy on the Russian side lol) so seeing that old hunk stands out.

When planes get shot down, the crews can bail? If you rescue them do you get points back?
Yes, I've rescued plenty of my crew when I had time, if I recall it gives you back some points
@@FujiLeeTheAmerican that's a cool mechanic. Do they always survive or just random? How do you "rescue them?" Or can they just walk back themselves
@@wesleykamerer6154 There's a random chance they will eject when shot down in planes. Once they land on the ground they are mostly left behind, but I like to rescue my pilots and get me some points back so I usually send a transport helicopter to rescue them, never send a APC or transport vehicle as its risky and can easily be blown up to bits. Of course set the helicopter flight mode to NOE to ensure survival from Anti air missiles, maybe send an escort aircraft or two (AH1Z or AH1W, either one.)
And to answer if they can walk back, yes they can, it takes them a while though.

Give them a walk to the edge of the map and then back to your lines, when they are far back enough send something to pick them up. It’s a novelty. They don’t return many points relative to what you lost.
Your pilot was so close to the osprey drop but it left without him :(
the M60A1's HE is better than the Abrams because the M60A1 still uses HESH (high explosive squash head), whereas the Abrams only has APFSDS and HEAT as well as the anti air fragmentation version of it (M830A1)
I was just looking at that today. Also noticed the Abram’s FEP gets a better inf round. I’m not sure if it’s a hesh but I know it’s not the HEATFS that the rest of the Abram’s get.

Is there a bonus or something for rescuing Crewmen/pilots? Or you just use them anyways? This is my first time watching gameplay from this game
Every unit has a cool-down on how fast you can re-deploy something. If you save the crew/pilot you resent that cool-down and I believe you get some of your supplies back
I think there should be smaller airdrop planes. It would make a huge potential for supply drops in a contested zone much faster.
I use Ospreys for this usually, or Venoms
@@VulcanHDGaming venoms are my favorite, i put rockets 2x7 hydra rockets and minigun on those so those can haul supply and units and give some fire support, just stay low and shoot along roads or caps on terrain

5:00 You should have used that Osprey to Evacuate the poor Pilot so he doesn't have to walk all the way back to base.
Can't wait to play this. I really hope we eventually get DLC's for NATO, China and maybe some other countries. The scenario and editing options will be endless if they do. If not, i hope modders can do it.
Imagine a China-Taiwan scenario, a combination of airborne and amphibious operations on a large scale!
Fellas, I think it's safe to say that I will be absolutely terrible playing against other players in this game. I'll stick to the campaign, coop and scenarios
No worries tho, I'll be doing the same really, after all what has really attracted me to this game is how much you can customize your "decks" and your units.
Also it looks like a more modern WARNO so that's a plus (not dissing on that game ofc)
Shame the IL-76 can't do low altitude. Maybe RU will get a lighter air transport or something that can

I won my first game with my Russian deck Airborn Mech 5TH BTG
You could just end the game in 5 minutes if you airdropped on the farthest point.
In my experience, it is very easy to win when they overspend on the air and lose helicopters at the start.
Sure but where is the fun in winning games over and over in 5 minutes? Most fun game I had recently I told my experienced team to use no aircraft at all at the start 😂 we almost lost and then made an epic come back
Aircraft weaponry are hardest to setup for me. It would be very helpful if you put aircraft list in comment section or somewhere else. Great videos btw 👍

Why S-300 fired two missiles into the ground when you were shooting it with Himars? Happened to me as well, I have no idea why, annoying as hell.
They didn't have radar on anyway and thus were not shooting at the TBM's. Missiles do that when enemy aircraft either fly out of their range,
, pass a shotblocker like a hill or tall building, or when flares cause a miss.
Vulcan, do you know if russia has cruise missile in the beta?
They have plenty of cruise missiles, no ballistic missiles though

Hows the meta compared to warno?
Spam blob. Thats what most of the games are that ive played mass tank heli charges
@@09jadeen People haven't figured out how to counter massive blobs yet, I run SU 34s with cluster bombs and SEAD missiles, they usually work if the blob is in the urban area which limits its movement. Laser designation and cluster HIMARS works too as it cannot be intercepted by AA.
@commanderflin4918 Right that's what I do, but I'm also seasoned to this genre of rts. Still doesn't change the blob meta unfortunately.
The real meta is gain air supremacy at the start, air or heli drop all the points and win.
Ultimately the game mode is easily exploited and needs a lot of work.
@@VulcanHDGaming I think that is because there are only 2 specializations avaliable and people kinda spam air, also there are no reprecussions for buying jets as you can always refund them. Well I guess a way to try to counter helo drops would be ATACAM the landing zones since there is no high tier AA at the start usually.

From what I heard the devs hasn't incorporated any kind of matchmaking yet, so sometimes more experienced people can get in matches vs first starters of the game

No, unless you bring them supplies

I love the sound of KC-130 nothing like turboprop sound, just like old WW2 aircraft. Gonna enjoy fielding Air Force Deck with focus on AC-130, KC-130, Blackhawks, Chinook, Apache etc. loads of stuff missing still.
Generally Cargo planes and airdrop are already big winner, for the life of me I don't know why WARNO, and Steel Division 2 never done Airborne troops properly.
Broken arrow is great an all, but need my Warno fix bro. C'mon its been 2 weeks ;-)

@@butthead6965yes, it reduces the range of detection, that means with laser guided bombs and flying at low altitude on afterburner for that bit of extra range you can smack stuff and get away fairly reliably compared to a non stealth aircraft.
