The accent of Nz is the same of UK however more lower, gentle, more polite. The pronounciation its the same. I like kiwi english cos they don't wanna reinvent english all time as others anglophones nations. Love to NZ.❤
but there is quite a difference and that's why I did this video. I learnt UK English and when I came to NZ the accent was completely different to me. Love the kiwi accent as well!
@@vaneandjoshnz Yes we have the difference between english of UK and english of NZ , in terms of soundbility, the Nz english is more lower gentle and values the i and e sound.
The kiwi accent is literally almost identical to the Australian accent, with the 'mispronunciation' of certain vowels.. E's are often pronounced as I's, and vice versa - this is the number one difference by far! Eg: Rent becomes - Rint And: Chips becomes - Cheps But in the last case its not the typical pronunciation of the flat 'e' sound as in the word 'end', its quite a unique and even more flat pronunciation, like you cut it off half way before you complete the sound 😂 Actually their A is also very unique also, especially compared to Australian - who overemphasise the A's a lot!
