This is a great video. You cleared up a few questions I had about the game after reading the instructions. The energy you keep throughout the walk through is fantastic.
9 years later...I recently played my first game of Race, me vs. me, just how you are playing in the video. I'm watching this now to reinforce what I've learned and finding your style really entertaining. It was amusing how Jenn kept drawing all the sweet military power cards you wanted - and that went on the entire game! Thanks for the video
11:00 i woud just focus on placing those planets to stay ahead of the race. 18:07 keep pirate world. Just discovered this game this summer (2017), it's soo addictive and every time different story.
a couple questions, 1 can you consume multiple goods on the same turn by the same card, 2 can you take over as many military worlds you want in the same turn so long as you have more military than the worlds require. Say I have 4 military power, Can I take over 2 worlds that require 3 military in the same turn or no?
+epb111 You can only do one action per phase unless there is a card power in play that would allow you to do otherwise like "consume multiple goods for VP, Card draw, etc." hope that helps.
Why are both players choosing to do 2 phases each time? Is it because it’s a unique feature of 2 player games? From what we can see it seems like each player is supposed to pick only one phase each.
Your video made me car sick....and I'm not even in a car. You need to mount that camera and take cards to it. No zoom play or moving the camera around.
Thank you! Very helpful after the very unprofessional manual (+translated). I would sooo much like to translate that ...make german untertitles...can you please activate this option!
03:35 you forget the bonus for choosing develop, should discard only one card when placing the space marines on your tableau. Nice play!

Thanks Richard, I've just re bought this after buying jump drive.
This video has been a useful refresher course after 8 years without playing it.
Great video! Thanks, it helped a bunch with getting to grips with the flow of the game
This was a great explanation for a very complicated (at first) game. Thanks!
Very clear, thank you!
wow, lots to know on this game - I see what you mean by learning curve - good stuff!

At 17:30, you said that Jen draws 2 and keeps 1, but it looks like you drew 3 for her to keep 1.
30:18 Yours Research Lab doesn't produce or give a card.
