Hello friends! I hope you enjoyed my very first "craft with me" video! I plan to do more of these in the future- but focused more on actual crafts, and this is sort of a precursor to a major shift in my content. What is the most beautiful life you can imagine for yourself? What's one part of that life you can commit to going after, today?
Who you want to be is who you always are. Sometimes we just forget who we are because of all the sh** going on out there. We need those several weeks time every year to find ourselves. There’s no better time to do the work than now! Thanks, Sara. The vision board is so beautiful!
Oh my goodness this embodies everything that I said at the start of this year! 2020 was a Year of Vision, to discover who we really are. 2021 is the Year of Transformation, when we transition to who we are meant to be. I love your board, your energy and can relate to so much of what you say. I'm the race horse stuck in the barriers just waiting to burst free. I feel I am meant to be someone important, memorable but not quite sure how, why or when...ah the mysteries of life! I used to say that my autobiography would be titled "My Life and Other Misadventures" but think now it should be "Breaking free ...to Be the Fabulous Me!"
YAAAAAAAAAASSSS!!! I love that title! I always thought my book title would be "Half-Assed" HA! And, yes, I think the whole world has been in one long cocoon phase, for the last 3 years, actually- I became a mother 3 years ago and it threw my sense of self into a tailspin! And, if we did the work, we came out with a much clearer vision of ourselves. I can, absolutely relate to that feeling of being stuck behind the barriers, ready to pounce and it can be so overwhelming not knowing where to begin. That's why I loved creating this board so much because it was less about specifics and more about a Feeling, because I think it's so much more important to focus on how we want to feel than what we want to do (the doing is really just a vehicle to create the feeling), and consider what actions, in our daily lives will foster that. Something I finally understand (after years of confusion) is that you just have to start with the first, most accessible, easiest thing. I want to step more fully into my creativity, and the first most accessible thing was participating in the Disneybound challenge, because I LOVE dress-up and it has totally woken up parts of myself I had forgotten. Anyhoo, I'm SO glad you enjoyed this! We all deserve to live a life we love.
Aw, thanks! You know I'm not a big fan of makeup, either-just don't like the feeling of having it on my face...I'm bare-faced 99% of the time, but when one is playing "Dress-up" putting on a fancy face is sometimes necessary, hehehehe.
