Yes there are only 3 wheels on that car. It's a Reliant Robin. There used to be a tax rule in the UK that a 3 wheel car of less than a certain size only needed to be taxed as a motorbike, and could be driven on a motorbike licence.
To add a little more detail: these cars are horrifically unstable and flip over so often that it's surprising that the car didn't flip earlier in this show.
“Do you feel lucky?” is from “Dirty Harry”. But it’s quoted so often in other movies and shows that most people don’t know where it’s originally coming from anymore.
You said you recognised the Metatron. In case you havent worked it out yet, thats Derek Jacobi a British national treasure of an actor. Youll probably know him best as Proffesor Yana in Doctor Who
Yeah, it was definitely his role from Doctor Who that I recognized him from. The reactions for Utopia and this episode were recorded almost exactly one year apart so it makes sense that I couldn't immediately place him. It had been a little while since I'd seen him. lol
There was also Dan Starkey (who played many Sontarans, including most notably Strax) in a bit part as the guy who related to Crowley and Aziraphale arguing in the street. ❤
In the book, they actually describe a Dalek tumbling out of the space ship. There are LOTS of Doctor Who references (and actors and crew) in this series. They know EXACTLY what they are doing.. .There was a famous (infamous?) photo of John Hamm in sweats a few years back...... Pestilence came out of retirement for 2020...
Oh, that's so funny about the Doctor Who easter eggs in the book! I didn't know that. Also, I may have to find this infamous picture ... you know, for research purposes. lol
if you havent noticed throughout the episodes Dr Who is being featured regularly in bits "Exterminate" the 1st episode the family car has SID RAT as registration for instance.
Enjoying your reactions! Aziraphale has been going to heaven to meet w/ the archangels (gold-teeth-guy is Sandalphon). In this episode, the reason he said "fuck" when he stepped into the gateway and got transported to heaven is that in this universe, going to heaven without special preparations to one's earthly body (this story calls it a "corporation") can result in the destruction of that body. Aziraphale hadn't made those preparations (we never learn what they are exactly) because in this case he was just using the gateway to communicate, not for transportation.
I’m always baffled when people thirst over Jon Hamm. That thing about him almost killing a guy under the guise of “fraternity hazing” and his total defending himself, his frat, and hazing regardless of its consequences just make me revolted at the thought of him. He doesn’t even feel bad and that guy has lifelong physical damage from the whole thing. It’s just ick all the way around.
it's almost like there's something terribly wrong with the way celebrity is used, but don't worry, someone hot will say something we agree with and that will soothe our anxieties for a bit
Glad you enjoyed it! I don't think I did while recording, but I caught a Classic Who reference while I was editing (Alpha Centauri ... I just finished The Curse of Peladon over on Patreon a week or two ago so the name was still fresh in my mind).
@@BritanyBinges Ah well, Alpha Centauri's a real part of space. But blimey, you're powering through Classic! What I mean is that one of Crowley's pages in the big book of astronomy is a big orange planet called Gallifrey. It is a "blink and you'll miss it moment", and only readable in high res, but it's one of many references you'll run into over the two series.
Honestly the book's okay not great. The TV series is the same. I think it depends mostly on the viewer and their background, some people find it life changing but for the rest of us it's just a decently written satire.

Oh, interesting! Thanks for sharing!
a "blue Robin"

In episode one, when Crowley and Aziraphale get drunk, Aziraphale mentions a kraken that will come from the sea before the end.
The manuscript that caught fire in the bookshop at the end was the script for The Sound of Music.

Yep, his body was 'discorporated', so he can't return to Earth, because he has no Earthly body anymore at this point.
One person's garbage is another entity's beautiful.

I didn't even hear about any of that and he's not exciting to me, but to each her own.

Great reaction as ever.
Did you spot the Doctor Who reference in the planets Crowley considers?
Glad you enjoyed it!
