Works great for applications in tight spaces where threading or welding isn't an easy option.... have used a few times (in industrial environment)-- has saved my company lots of money.

I’ve googled steam application. The site I saw said it wasn’t approved for superheated applications. Can it be used for steam or not, seeing as how you should know best?
No. For context ive been a plumber over 30 years and my company was 9ne of the first ever to use this system, we got essentially free fittings for a job to test out the system
Hi Adam, our MegaPressG fittings can be used for gas applications. Check out our approved applications list for more information www.viega.us/en/products/applications.html
What tool do you have? The compact press’s (Milwaukee and ridgid) can do up to 3/4 in Mega press and the regular full size press’s can do up to 2 inch mega press without the booster. You will need different jaws for your press tool though, copper and mega press jaws are not the same
Tanner gave a very good answer below! Depending on what size fittings you are pressing, will determine which tool you can use - a standard or compact. You will need different sets of jaws to press ProPress and MegaPress.
Hi Puncho, Thank you for being a part of our community! Our MegaPress EPDM (green dot) is up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit or MegaPress FKM (white dot) is up to 284 degrees Fahrenheit. To learn more, go here: www.viega.com/en/products/Catalogue/Piping-technology/Megapress.html
Don't forget to open your appropriate bank account and or loan provider, or a first born child. There is absolutely no reason these jaws cost this freaking much. I understand the process here, yet I also know we are talking about steel jaws here, not actual titanium. Let's look at this, keep the price high and sell to less with less sales due to less end of cycle overturn or price product lower and sell to more resulting in higher sales and higher return sales due to product end of cycle. It is seriously the biggest no brainer ever. Ridged must have the highest amount of yes men in meetings, sometimes, no should be evaluated.
@@Dookie_burner I’ve used it on 1 1/2” in the ground, at some apartments. My helper and I spent more time being fearful of it actually working than fixing the pinhole. It was a snap.

What do they mean by pipe cut at a right angle
They meant don't cut it at the wrong angle
Not an angled cut
The appropriate comment belongs here.
Can those fitting be used on a 1/2 inch black pipe hot water line?

It costs what it does because it saves you so much installation time which means jobs are done faster which means youre making more.

Сколько стоит комплект пресса?
Rigid 1/2”-2” mega jaw kit can be had for as little as $3000.00 here in U.S. and maybe a little less (retail). I just got 3 quotes on the kit today.
