Yeah, I went through a stage of buying every nes I found be it at flea markets, yard sales, and a few off ebay. I have probably 10 nice systems in boxes, 8-10 top loaders (which suck because rf signal is screwed up and puts vertical lines on the screen) and probably 80 systems that are decent shape. Don't ask me why, I just became obsessed with them a few years ago and I still won't pass one up in good shape for a cheap price. I still have my very 1st from 1988 and it works like day I got it.
i love your channel , im thinking of getting this today, because my NES only works occasionally , and when i wanna review games or something i cant rely on it to last long. lol this is perfect. thanks
great video as usual. was really hoping to see inside of one of these. i heard they use a Nes On a Chip (NoaC) which basically means they put everything inside the origional nes into 1 chip with a bunch of legs comming off. fully functional. would u do a video of u opening it?
I used to sell this on ebay back in 2000's. It's cool for the price. Manufacturing was done by the same company that manufacturered the OG. NES back in the day. The guts of it are very close to the original but not exactly. The cartridge slots a draw back. They get stuck and you think your going to brake the thing pulling the carts out. Then you got the not exactly thing going on with the hard ware and it would not play some game's " paper boy is one" that I clearly remember wasn't playable. Mine was Indigo to mach the gamecube I had. My biggest selling point was that your getting a clean system with new part's. My other one was that it played just like the original not emulation which was bad at the time. My last point was that you could experience the nes all over again or give it to your kids to experience without paying a ton for somthing thats going in the closet when your fad end's again. Got to remember retro gaming was not the monster it is today. I could get game's good one's for less than a buck.
You know I've actually been thinking the same thing. I wanted to pick up a cheap Retron3 or something when they're on sale just to check out Genesis on S-Vid. Although my LG 37" LCD surprisingly handles Genesis composite very well.
Well for those who have HDTVs and want a Genesis with S-video so it will have a better chance of displaying on their TV than the RF or composite without having to do an S-video mod to a Genesis, then a Genesis clone may be ideal for them.
@Namekjin Nope. When these first came out they sold the Famicom version and it came with an adapter to play American games on it but then they came out with this version that already plays American games and they didn't inc an adapter.
Turns out a local retro game store i go to just got a huge shipment of fc twins nes fc's and some genX's in so im gonna go pick one of these up today. A great alternative to an original.
Not sure what you mean by 2 whites. It has a yellow for video, and a white for audio. It doesn't have a red because the NES is only mono, not stereo so it only needs one, not two cables for sound. So don't worry about plugging anything into the red jack just as long as the yellow and white are plugged in.
My HDTV doesn't even have S-Video. A paper that came with it showed a diagram of the jacks on the back of the TV and it says that it has it but its not there.
There are a million clones under a million different names in different countries. I've seen a few that all look very similar to these. I'm sure they all come from the same Chinese factories and use the same Chinese made NES clone chips.
I have my doubts about those Yobo clone systems. My local game store has piles of them every time I go in so they apparently not selling. Not sure what they cost as I've never checked.
i just used windex and qtips to clean my tetris cart. man it was full of dirt! I popped it in, turned it on and the game actually works!! I havent been able to get the cart to play right for a long time. Thank you so much for the handy tip :)
funny I bought mine in 2008 as well, but I couldn't get my original controller, power shot, or arcade pad to work. but the supplied controllers did work fine. odd. only things I had issues with other then that is game genie didn't work and if you bump it in the slightest- it will glitch and freeze.
The only reason anyone may buy 'clone systems' is for the compatibility with newer televisions. Clone systems like the genX and those for the snes/nes normally will come the a normal scart or RGB cables. In short, it's a simple and effective way of getting old consoles to work with TVs without the need of tuning... I should know the pain of tuning as I used to own both a master system and a mega drive/genesis . But however, that looks like a very nice console.
Well I got my Retron 3 last week, and although sound emulation isn't perfect, it's good enough for me. Plus, the colors look close enough for me, and S-video output rocks.
you do know theres a model 2 nes thats a top loader and is licensed by nintendo right? i just bought one with 2 contollers 20 games and a duck hunt gun controller all for 40 bucks on ebay...check em out if you want the actual licensed version of the top loader. great videos btw, i subscribed :)
The Yobo looks great and for the price is even better. Most game shops want too much for an NES just because of retro gaming. Also I have 2 Genisis's and both died so buyer beware on buying a used thats been kicking around at a ponshop.
I just saw some Like it at a yard-reseller sale lol going fore 50 bucks each I'm glade you got yours fore same price as my nes clone :) that lady having the sale was trippin balls XD
Well looks likes I'm gonna have to use the clones both my NES and SNES have died on me and i just bought the Yobo FC i already have the FC Twin and i really like it a lot but i hate the fact that you can't use NES controllers on the FC Twin. But you really can't beat the price of the Yobo FC. Its never a fun day when your old game systems stop working. :(
can you answer my question? I dont have the power block for my original nintendo, but I have a power block from a router that has the same voltage and very similar amperage. The nes calls for 800 mA, the router block gives the right voltage and 1000 mA. Can I use it without screwing up my nintendo?
How weird...yesterday I fixed one of my Nintendos put in 1 of my controllers and it was acting just like that. The A button was acting like the select and start buttons..
I agree with MNBIRD. I like the idea of the clones, but I much rather prefer the originals. I would buy the nes clone because it can be frustrated to find a good working nes.
When I get out of the Army this November and get my own place, I'm going to start collecting consoles and old and original games for each one.

I have that system and i love it it works with all my NES games with no problems a cool little gameing console!!!
what ever happen to him??? he was one of the first i started watching
i love your channel , im thinking of getting this today, because my NES only works occasionally , and when i wanna review games or something i cant rely on it to last long. lol this is perfect. thanks
I ordered an Indigo/white model a couple days ago.... I hope it comes soon!
oh, you gotta LOVE that 8-bit opening music xD

Nice, I have probably 100 nes systems but I still may get one of these. Nice choice in color too. That is the exact one I would get.
@Namekjin Nope. When these first came out they sold the Famicom version and it came with an adapter to play American games on it but then they came out with this version that already plays American games and they didn't inc an adapter.
I have the exact same one. Though mine's called the "Retro Entertaiment System" and it was $24.99 for me.
Turns out a local retro game store i go to just got a huge shipment of fc twins nes fc's and some genX's in so im gonna go pick one of these up today. A great alternative to an original.

i got a yobo for 30 cents it was funny as hell to see some one sell it for that much
This was surprisingly informative thanks dude
@MN12BIRD Thanks for the info, I might just either buy one of these or a Dingoo A320 or possibly a original NES.
My HDTV doesn't even have S-Video. A paper that came with it showed a diagram of the jacks on the back of the TV and it says that it has it but its not there.

You have to pull it out with force. Don't hold back, it seems like something will break, but you're fine.
i just used windex and qtips to clean my tetris cart. man it was full of dirt! I popped it in, turned it on and the game actually works!! I havent been able to get the cart to play right for a long time. Thank you so much for the handy tip :)

Quality of various Dendy depends on which year was is made.
does play Castlevania 3 ??
Oh wow mine was a direct import from Japan. It cam with a 72-60 pin adapter; And you know it was cool and all but it would not run some games.

@MN12BIRD Hey do you know if it includes a Famicom converter?
I'm thinking about buying one of these but I want to play Famicom games too...
Well I got my Retron 3 last week, and although sound emulation isn't perfect, it's good enough for me. Plus, the colors look close enough for me, and S-video output rocks.
So, wait. Is that yobo thing new, or a relic of the 80's?
i really want to see you do a R.O.B the robot review. Do you even have one?
Wow, like the sideboards!
you do know theres a model 2 nes thats a top loader and is licensed by nintendo right?
i just bought one with 2 contollers 20 games and a duck hunt gun controller all for 40 bucks on ebay...check em out if you want the actual licensed version of the top loader. great videos btw, i subscribed :)
@Namekjin Yeah if you can find one but they're hard to find now.
hey man what are the odds of finding a game gear at value village? my dad wants one thought i might check around
I got this at Trader Bills store in PA for $15.00!!!
I wonder would this FC Clone work with the PowerPak?
it was at a pawn shop and no one knew what it was. plus it was the console by itself but i have the control and power at home.
I like your reviews how you been i have this system but i blew it up and it doesnt work any more love my AV Famicom.
i just bought one today im so siked i cant wait till it comers in the mail!
I think for the controller that didn't work , you just need to unplug then replug and check if it's correctly in. Maybe...
@animegamer66 Cool is the Dendy expensive?
The Yobo looks great and for the price is even better. Most game shops want too much for an NES just because of retro gaming. Also I have 2 Genisis's and both died so buyer beware on buying a used thats been kicking around at a ponshop.
I just saw some Like it at a yard-reseller sale lol going fore 50 bucks each I'm glade you got yours fore same price as my nes clone :)
that lady having the sale was trippin balls XD
Cool. I might get one of these once. Do they come in PAL versions?
@MN12BIRD So if I want to play Famicom Games I better buy the Japanese one?
Yeah mines not THAT bad but hold it down on both side of the slot and pull carefully.
i think nintendo made a top loading NES system, yes?
I found one at a flea market for 15 dollars and the color was indigo/white.
I'm getting one this Saturday :)
yeah. . .the thing which tends to suck about the model 2 NES is that there's no a/v connection unlike the original.
where can i get these or similar in the uk!?
what's the voltage output for the ac adapter?
ok now pull the left side of the cartridge until it pops out, and then the right side
Well looks likes I'm gonna have to use the clones both my NES and SNES have died on me and i just bought the Yobo FC i already have the FC Twin and i really like it a lot but i hate the fact that you can't use NES controllers on the FC Twin. you look like my uncle in a way XD
I got one of these things about a year ago. because my NES broke.
but then again it never hurts to try, does it?
U have to push it down VERY VERY hard straight down until it clicks.
my linksys block outputs 9V AC 1000 mA, I don't have the original NES power block anyway, lol.
not without an adapter, I think.
got it! Thanks a bunch man!
the sega cd bios music used to scare me
will the controllers work on a retron3
Won't work with a Four score or Satellite though. :( (controller ports are oriented wrong)
I got that system, I'm really surprised it works lol.
@MN12BIRD I mean the quality of the cartridge itself.
So you haven't seen any Dendy/Subor/Lifa/Kenga/LikoII? Visit Russia for these. :D
And yes, Turbo Buttons! But they have no slow-motion buttons.
I agree with MNBIRD. I like the idea of the clones, but I much rather prefer the originals. I would buy the nes clone because it can be frustrated to find a good working nes.
Can it play NES PAL (European) games?
fits in your hand like a twinkeeeee
just playing greeat videos!!!
I got mine for 12 bucks brand new at a shady pawn shop. I had to settle for black and silver.
I'll bet you had that sick, sinking feeling in your gut when that controller didn't work huh ? lol
If I order a used NES game online, what is the probability it will work?
It said the original NES controller works but they never said it works correctly. Hmm
20 bucks?! Can this thing really be reliable and still work for years to come without problems? Could someone tell me because I want to get one.
Try Amazon my friend. They have never failed me.
will this work with the nes advantage?
Looks great, I just wish that any of these clones were sold in Europe.
If anybody finds any for sale in Europe or UK, please, send me a message ;)
NICE VID
cool thanks, works great. Didn't want to blow it up, given that I don't know anything about electricity.
LOL the soviet union flag at the background, at 10:30
get a fc3 plus from yobo it has nes snes and gen
Rad racer is an awesome game!!!!
Yeah $50 is steap! But i bet they stil sell to ppl who dont know any better!
I got this system for 30 dollars! Its awesome!
lol i got the same exact one except it wuz not made my yobo the minus the yobo logo it is the same but it broke in like 2 weeks
i mean there great controllers, but they are flimsy as hell, mine both broke
the comment section died 6 months ago, and woops I revived it! good video though
check out my review of the retro entertainment system..
Oh yeah these are so cheap it makes sense just to use the NES controllers and not the SNES controllers to play NES games on the Twin.
@MN12BIRD O.k. cool
Is it a bitch to get games out, I bought one at a swap meet & to get games out of it I have to hold the system down because the game is like stuck.
i got a yobo for 30 cents at a pawn shop!!!
The comment died 11 months ago
