Haha thank you and glad you enjoyed it 🥰
Great video. You must have been buying your place the same time as us. So many great points that we would agree with. Keep up the great work xx
It’s funny, a few of us all took the plunge at the same time it seems! Thanks for watching Julie! Hope you’re well x
Ah this is such a great video, you will be able to look back on this in years to come and compare etc. I really enjoyed this!
Thank you! What a great idea, I wonder when we’ll look back 🥰
All I can say is well done!
Thank you! That’s really kind x
Here’s to a great year 🥂
Right back at you Davina! Hope you’re ok x
I think river cottage really inspired alot of people we started more or less the Same was as you guys we started a few chickens in the back garden I think the only difference I move my family about 20 hours away rather than 20 minutes 😆 I'm with Steven with the job is done sorry i forgot the camera 🙉🙉 Katie is always shouting at me for not filming you definitely have a lovely home great video i was hucked from start to finish
Just getting round to comments 😂 where do the days go! So right on Rover Cottage. I love it to this day. Lovely to hear your story. Bless, 20 hours is still doable 😉 thanks for being here, I know how busy you (and everyone) is
Well I think you should give yourselves a huge pat on the back (maybe a gentle one for Steven) you’re doing what everyone should be doing tbh, raising our own meat and veg. Whenever we get our place I’ll be nipping your head with questions 😂. Here’s to another fantastic year 🎉
That made me smile, I love how you comment throughout 😂 thank you as alaways for your support. We really appreciate it and wish you all the luck with your place when you get it but your health first up xx
My husband is a foreman now but very good at carpentry. Got videos on my YT of the house and garden he’s done. His garage has been extended to become a workshop with everything you can imagine even does wood turning 😂 I just breed dogs and have my wee green hoose. Grew a bell pepper and 6 cherry tomatoes 😂😂😂😂
Sounds lovely, I said to ste we will have to take a look. Bell pepper is amazing! Well done!
The kids are helpful but Grace seems to enjoy it more
She loves the animals for sure
Amazing, I’m 57 and been a joiner / roofer for 43 years this April and me my missus and our 4 kids are just about to start the same journey as you lot, your truly inspiring, thank you
That’s fantastic! Also what a great trade to be in for what your about to embark on. We really appreciate your comments. Thanks!
That’s true, I walked in the front door of this house 16yrs ago and said to my son, this is it! His Dad was working away and hadn’t seen it but he went ahead with it
Such a nice feeling isn’t it
Lovely video you two. Funny, informative educational, just fantastic. xx
thank you Lou! Xx
This is my favourite video so far!! Love love loved it thank you ❤ we are the same this year (the world has gone nuts) we are going to keep on keeping on and try and just be more intentional with our time and enjoy some outdoor cooking, camping and growing xx
We love how enthusiastic you are Jemma! Thanks for being here and the other socials too 🥰love your idea, we’re right with you. X
Love your Q&A. It really made me laugh, because of the similarities between you and I and my husband and Steven. I’m such a dreamer too and Andy is always the realist. I make the grand plans and he’s the one to question things more 😂
Thank you! So funny how many of us have that balance 😂 Lovely to see you xx
We had a huge oak tree and had to take it down as it was above the neighbours big den and it became unstable 😢all the wood went to the dump, no one wanted it 😮
Oh no! Wood is so expensive these days too
Hi guys , been catching up with the videos tonight ,love the Q&A but 3 monts old now , just wanted to ask you how you cook the Jerusalem artichokes if its no trouble .
Hi there! The only way we’ve enjoyed them is roasted which are delicious!! Soup didn’t work well for us.
Hiya, hope you’re doing well Stephen or Steven, I’m still waiting on spinal surgery but obviously mines is only 2 herniated discs. We’ve been looking for a year but when we were putting our house on the market in August, that’s when I hurt my back so had to pull the plug. Had to cancel our Caribbean cruise too 😢. Anyway I’ll be commenting throughout lol. We lover River Cottage too
I think the kitchen would be the selling point for me too lol.
I think you guys are awesome. Anyone who gets used to and doesn't feel it when dispatching their animals shouldn't be doing it. MAHOOSIVE HUGGLES xox
Oooh I love it Pam 💕 and thank you! You’re pretty darn awesome yourself 👏 😉 😘 xx
Geoff and I loved this Tracy and Steven! We pictured ourselves joining you both in the barn with a hot drink and just chatting. Really interesting to get more detail regarding your journey to this point and your hopes and plans. (We are devotees of River Cottage too, surprise surprise! 😉) Nearly fell off the couch when you mentioned us! 😂
Keep on doing what you’re doing - it’s awesome. We haven’t given up on our dreams either. 😉👍 xx
Awww bless 😂 Hope you’re doing ok 😘 Never give up xx
@@OurSmallholdingAdventure things may look slightly different going forward but the dreams remain and we definitely won’t give up! 😉😘
Love this video! You’re right everything happens for a reason we nearly bought a house that wouldn’t have been right before we offered on this lol and we ended up renting for 3 months in between 😂
I’m really interested in a no dig approach so would love to follow any videos you do on that! x
Thank you for the comment, lovely to hear and also, looking forward to having you along on the no dig adventure!
Gutted I missed this! Was it live? Beetroot & Pickles xxx
No, not live so don’t worry 😂 Maybe next time 😘 x
I only found your channel today and was trying to figure out your 'story'...so this was perfect! One little question, what do you do for a full-time job Tracy? Also, if you don't know her already, you might like Stephanie Hafferty's channel, she's a fab no dig grower 👍 thanks for the q&a!
Welcome! Thank you for being here and great timing 😂 I am an office worker so to speak. I work for a chemical company so worlds apart from this ❤️ love Stephanie! Take care
My wish for you both is to stay happy & healthy in 2023 (and the kids of course!) Is there a naked butcher on You Tube?? Imagine how many subs Steven would get! You'd have your mortgage paid off in no time! (I'm joking). Look forward to following you again this year x
That’s super kind Kim. I hope it stays true. Haha watch this space for naked butcher 🤣 mortgage free by December 👊🏼 😆 xx
Oh and hello Tracey, sorry
😂
Are you going to eat the ducks? I love duck 😂
Not this batch as they’re for eggs and older now, but we will be hatching some for meat this year
