Yes, you can. But you can't export the the animation as transparent videos like .AVI or .MOV. Metroska or .MKV can have alpha channel but can't get recognize by other video editors like Adobe Premiere Pro or Hitfilm. But I found that .MKV can me renamed to .AVI to be able to recognize by Adobe Premiere, but not Hitfilm. That's why I recommend to render the animation as Image Sequence for you to easily import it in Premiere Pro or Hitfilm.
I'd like seeing more Hitfilm tutorials.
