Little remark for 2:00 : Dot cap cannot be bypassed, it is a global cap on all regen/degen. Basically, enemy life from any over time effects cannot change by more than +- (2^31-1), no matter what. However, "overcapping" dot is still useful as soon as enemies have damage reductions
must be one of the most broken gems this league, was alwys easy to reach dot cap especially last league, but this league with the buffs, sounds like a lot of fun
I really wanted to build around mamba to do ignite+poison. The idea was double pneumatic daggers with shaper of flames as an occultist then use that chaos damage taken for ignite thing and scale wither. Then use alchemist mark to get a chaos and fire burning ground.
30 now lol. But far from worth it, around 8% dps gain, kinda 3-4 if you replace it with a decent jewel. People just don't like to think. Or just spec assassin, problem solved. Way better overall imo

I had a synthesis tier 1 carnal armour with evasion and maximum energy shield. It was literally going for 1-2 div yesterday. Logged on today and got spammed. Checked priced and its 10 div now lmao.

@@hamadalyami21 Pathfinder is better at high investment because it is much tankier with 90 all res from flask + melding + jewels, you get to use life based with lightning coil instead of ES, and you're also extremely fast, but at low investment (under 100 div) trickster is just better
League started Pestilent Strike PF, or intended to anyway, got Mamba randomly from first or second lab and it was such an easy swap to make, didnt even know it existed 😂 figures i stumble on a broken thing and then it explodes in price. Glad i already got a binos and started crafting pneumatic daggers

Wicked ward is must have on trickster, its the best node on the tree for defence, alongside ghost shroud. Mathil not picking it is pure troll. Maybe he thinks that spellbreaker already has chance to recharge, but thats only from spells (and its also a chance, not 100% consistent)
@mathlification whats best way to retain regen with ci, tried to roll with my archer i didnt enjoy, trees fairly similar other than ascendancy. threw on a sorrow of the divine to try to help it, (around lvl 85) struggling to stay alive, any help appreicated. meanwhile ill keep my mapper and see how it feels on bosses that dont need me to worry about degen as part of their phases

I mean when you supress your ES recharge starts but if you are hit it stops, why not prevent it by picking wicked ward and constantly, albeit at lower rate, recharge energy shield? Is there another interaction that makes this possible or is it simply not needed?

Corpse explosions prevent poison prolif so keep that in mind but you can play this build as an occultist and i'm sure it's a ton of fun. Check out poeninja

Just wondering how to craft the cluster. I can't find any on trade to buy and craft on cause the implicit for the increased chaos DoT isnt showing up on trade. What base do I use?
You may have already figured this out, but on the trade site, the mod is called "Added small passive skills grant: #" and it's listed as an enchant. Then you get a drop-down menu where you can choose "12% increased chaos damage over time". Even jewels with 4-5 added small passives are only 1-2 chaos.
Is there a way to increase the proliferation? the clear on this is actually really bad, it kills the pack but it almost always leaves lots of random enemies around which then you have to hit 1 by 1
I've been SSFing this build since league start. On Assassin & badly, thought I'd get some pointers lol. Penance mark is extremely inconsistent for generating extra targets to prolif, I found, cuz they don't spawn close to the target.
Go for doppleganger's guise and divine flesh keystone, tons of phys and ele mitigation, you can even get a +2 duration corruption on the chest for more damage.
Dumb question, but I'm trying to set this up and I'm noticing that even though I have 100%chance to poison on hit I'm only getting the poison to actually hit every 4 or so attacks... Any ideas?
i dont understand how your chance to poison is high, i copied the build and im at 45% without the enchant on gloves atm, also dont have toxic delivery, to expensive. can anyone explain

Sadism is terrible for this regardless if you alr have Deals Damage Faster stats or don't. Sadism reduces the DoT Duration to 1/5th of the duration, while providing no Damage increase. So to begin with, your Total Poison Damage is reduced to 1/5th or a straight up 80% Total Damage Loss per Poison. Unless you have an equal amount of ASPD to keep up the old uptime this is generally an Overall DPS Loss. (It's easier to upkeep a 4s Ignite than it is a 0.8s Ignite) The Deals Damage Faster aspect also provides basically no benefit as this is a build that hits once in awhile, similar to Ignite/Bleed and a 1.8x DPS increase cannot mitigate a 0.2x Total Damage Loss. Deals Damage faster is not always beneficial as it's realistically only a DPS increase if you are able to keep hitting the boss and keep the Ailment up at a similar frequency as before. I.e, there's no point making a Poison deal it's damage within 0.2s if your application rate is every 0.3s unless said boss literally dies in 0.2s Not to mention, there is a DoT Cap where you can only do roughly 35.8M/s which Deals Damage Faster will make you hit faster. E.g If you had a Poison that dealt 60M in 2s (30M/s for 2s) and had 100% Deals Damage Faster (60M/s for 1s), you would actually be losing Overall Damage as the latter ends up DoT Damage Capped. You will be getting a 5.8M DPS increase, but it also means you need to apply Poisons roughly 80% faster to achieve it. To further prove how bad Sadism is, putting it as even a 7th link in my PF Mamba drops my DPS by more than half if Alch Mark is not applied, else I lose abt 25% of my DPS as Alch Mark looks at Poison's DPS rather than Total Damage. Honestly, Sadism in general is an extremely questionable Support to begin with as it's only useful for builds that gain benefit from applying an effect or have long durations and enough ASPD to maintain the upkeep

You don't reach dot cap on enemies with high DR anyways, like ubers and t17 bosses, so poison isn't really ever dot cap at endgame anymore

You have 50%chance to avoid stuns by default from energy shield. Plus you dont get hit with that much evasion. You dont feel anything.

You can self farm it in 1 hour tops. Very easy to not pay 2 divs. But 2 divs is pretty cheap anyway.
