So many people miss what this song is about. It's about how disabled or 'different' people are mistreated and hurt by society. It is very powerful and makes me cry every time. Yes it is 'mainstream' in style but the message isn't. It's hard hitting. Along with Easter, Season's End and No One Can, it is one of my favorite Marillion songs. I love the Prog Rock songs like Heart of Lothian or The Space but this is beautifully crafted. Very thoughtful. Listen to "The Party" as well from Holidays in Eden.

Chaos Divine - Invert Evolution
This song was composed at the time, when Marillion was still married to a record company. Then they, as the first band in the world's history, sold their record in advance to the fans and went independent. And started to make better and better record! react to Invisible man or Neverland, for example.

"Whatever Makes Your Feel Superior" is a kickass song you should check out! Do it! Seriously thy guy(Mike Mills) has become my favorite vocalist of all time and he's a musical genius in my opinion that really puts in the work!

Well, you ended up choosing a song from their more “mainstream” phase, but the songs with Steve Hogarth on vocals are still very good! I loved the video ❤

another MARILLION!!! AWESOME!!!!! Their "progressive days stopped when Fish left. Even though BRAVE is a masterpiece. H did bring a missing something to Marillion in my opinion. You should do GO at Royal Albert Hall.

Seriously dude you need to watch them live. The album are fab but live they're even better! This song was around quite early on in h's era.
I love this song but it's probably one of the least "progressive" songs Marillion have ever done. Marillion are a much better band musically than they were in their earlier phase, and less beholden to earlier Prog bands. If you want some later Marillion that is more adventurous try "The Space," "King," or "This Strange Engine." "Neverland," is my personal favourite. If you're really adventurous listen to the "Brave," album. From the earlier incarnation of the band I would recommend "Forgotten Sons," and "Fugazi," for some political angst.

This is their current line-up, with H at vocals, as oppossed to Fish ,who was edgier. They were more progressive with Fish ( think Genesis with Peter Gabriel vs Phil Collins). Review Misplaced Childhood to get them at their best prog greatness....its a concept album with no breaks between songs. Fish had a breakup and had a mental breakdown, and went on a bender. This album is about that.....
For the new material, the album Brave is highly recommended.

Come on!! That isn't the best song of Marillion!!!! Why don't you take a listen to "Ocean Cloud". Or "Interior Lulu" or "The Great Scape" or "Gaza". Please give them another chance, they would definetly blow your head!!!!!
