Now THIS is the real Pearl Jam everyone fell in love with!!!
Yep and sounding so good!
Absolutely!
Exactly before they became Eddie's Jam
Nope dave krusen only played at the studio with pearljam ten.
KRUSEN HAS THE MAGIC, BRING HIM BACK!!!!
Wow...I went back in time with Dave K on drums!!! How many good memories with Ten in my mind I'm loving it all Eddie!!!
Golden times❤🇧🇷
Krusen was never any kind of power drummer. Just a solid and reliable pocket guy. Nothing fancy. He was exactly what the Ten album needed.
But he prayed with incredible groove, touch, dynamics, and "atmosphere" .
I feel so lucky I got to see Pearl Jam with Dave!! I really haven't listened to PJ alot since I was a teen (33 now) but they came to my area, unlike most big artists, so I bought a ticket. Then the day before the show Matt Cameron tested positive. I love Matt in Soundgarden but his drumming of old PJ hits I hate. It was like a miracle I got to see them perform the songs how they sound on the record instead of the fast forward versions with Matt.
That was an awesome show! It was my children's first PJ show. They loved it!
It Is just amazing the difference the drummer makes... They sound like the PJ from the álbum or the versus era. Just imagine if Dave A played again with them
Is it just me or are the other members playing the songs more like the recording cause Dave is playing the drum parts EXACTLY like the TEN album? If so, I can only say Dave has the touch! My goodness the groove of this lineup really hits the spot like it did when I first heard the TEN album, not too sure if I'd ever get that feeling again.... I feel unbelievably blessed!
Right?!?!
So well stated..
My favorite PJ drummer...
Look at Stone doing his groovin' thang to Dave K's rocking feel..Just like how it should be played...Absolutely awesome!!
THANK YOU Dave for giving me my songs back - yes man
They weren't playing 10?
Dave Krusen, YES
O Pearl Jam só é Pearl Jam por causa dos Daves!
A lot of people mistakenly believed this was Abbruzzese on the record. These videos are proof of the impact Dave Krusen had on the soul of the band's sound.
I spen HOURS cutting my teeth to these songs, trying to capture the subtleties, nuance, tone, feel, and sway Krusen had. I was just 15 at the time. Some great tumes were had with Ten being the sound track.
These performances with Krusen strike a chord that had laid dormant for years. A lot of nostalgia.
True, other than Krusen, Dave a was true to the original sound. Expanded a bit but still complemented pearl jam.
Yup, abbruzzese was vs sound
What a treat for those who were there to be able to see this!
Is it my imagination or does everything sound much better when Dave k plays with them including guitars, tone and vocals
Not your imagination. This is the closest to the record I’ve ever heard Pearl Jam play this live. Having the original drummer with each ‘s unique style will make the players play a certain way and even sound a certain way with their playing dynamics.
So you get the guy that played on the record--it sounds like the record and it’s awesome. Similar to how GnR never sounded the same after their original drummer was fired.
Fully agree!!!!
Dave Krusen is the drummer on the album.
It always blows me away when fans say that Abbruzzese’s the drummer that gave PJ their groove. Do those people ignore the fact that Krusen was the drummer on Ten?
This has a different feel and sounds much more like the original recording. MC is still great but it is cool to hear this version with Krusen on drums.
Im 50yrs old now Believe or not i still have that original cd i bought 25 yrs ago it's time to dust it off and blast it on some old Cerwin Vega's with 12 inch sub woofers.
Noticing how krusen is keeping the band in check with the groove…he keeps the songs in the right tempo…i love cameron but the fact is he plays pretty much all the songs faster.
Definitely not all, when did he play this one faster?
100%
Matt Cameron totally ruins the vibe of so many songs by speeding them up like 25 bpm!!!
@@Faks.09 all the time dude.
@@davesims7917 idk what this vibe is you're talking about but, i've just compared this one with the other version with Matt, and the one with Matt has more life in it, i really want to jump around like crazy,
this version is a little bit boring
i may be wrong, but it's like you just prejudiced towards Matt
Mind you, Cameron is 100% integral the band. Without him, the band would be very different today. He wrote and co-wrote a LOT of songs that I love from Pearl Jam. Just stating a fact I noticed.
Digging the drummer.
the right way to play it Matt. chill down
This is The Original!!!!!
It's only PJ if the Drummer is named Dave
Yeah. Dave Abbruzzese.
Berlin a week from tonight! Let’s GO,
Ed, you are amazing and your voice is everything❤🇧🇷
Que música! PJ
I love MC, but he just doesn't have that angsty energy that DK or DA have. When MC plays, it makes PJ sound like pop punk
That ain’t MC up there. That’s actually DK. MC had Covid complications.
@@chriscoble557 i was aware of that, i just wanted to state my opinion on how this performance sounds like the original pearl jam with DK on drums since MC was out
Ironic since Matt was the drummer for Soundgarden, not an opinion I would've expected to hear
I saw some complaints on another video that DK doesn't hit them hard enough like MC. Well that's fine, but dude has a smooth groove and sounds perfect on these tracks. Guy is the real deal, and a treat to hear on the classic album tracks no doubt.
That's why everyone loves Dave A, he beats the shit out of the snare.
Krusen is good abetting the drums and cymbals breathe.
I used to hit so hard that I'd end up choking my gear. It was actually aging along to Krusen's work when it came out in 91, when I was 15 that I started to let the gear breathe.
As a result I my groove started to improve.
start the song @2:32
DK is the original drummer of ten, but i prefer Dave Abbruzzese.
🥱 go to bed. Sorry 😊
@@justuseubank9192 🤫
True dat
Dave abbruzzese master of cymbal
If Ten is your bag then Krusen laid it down, Abruzzese listened, appreciated and played along. .
This the real Pearl Jam except no more stage dives
I've never liked MC's snare sound. This sounded great.
It's completely a disaster. MC is good for the albums whow he was the oficial drummer. Always with his bucket snare sound.
How Eddie did this with a stomach flu? Amazing.
He had the stomach flu? Ugh 😓😩
Crass shirts are awesome
Splain?
Now imagine this with Dave Abbruzzese...
Krusen's vibe on Ten is not to be beat by ANY of the PJ drummers. Just perfection.
PJ4ever
So what happen to Matt Cameron now having a long time drummer in PJ, Is Dave Krusen will replace him now Is he going back to PJ again as a drummer?
MC has covid, krusen just filling in
That would be great! But as mentioned. He's filling in for the Ten songs.
Ed usually saves the hat for solo shows/appearances. Maybe its was a little humid there and he got frizzy?
From what band is Dave kruzen?
Dave Krusen was the drummer on Pearl Jam's first album, Ten. He was replaced after the album was done - I believe due to substance abuse problems. Matt Chamberlain took over for a very brief period, and then the mighty Dave Abbruzzese joined the band.
@@beems55 he checked himself into rehab I heard.
Go Griz!!!
Dave = nicety
Did Ed speak between every song on this tour? One of the things that stood out when I listen to all the bootlegs from the 2000 Euro tour was how little talk happened during the show. Maybe the language barrier but it’s weird.
if you notice on this particular break between songs, Ed seems to be filling time until Mike is ready to go 2:02, doesn't apply to every time Ed talks but it is something to keep in mind. there might be more going on than Ed just rambling.
Eddie was shy back then
@@mike5racin635 Shy Eddie had a really cool stage persona. Now it just feels like he’s going through the motions
@@makkietakkie it has been about 35 years. This is old hat now.
Man, the people in Fresno are fukin lucky. Matt gets Covid and they get to hearthem play practically the whole Ten album with Dave Krusen on the drums..... instead of songs off the new album which pretty much sucks.
"It's great to be here in this great city.... (Crowd roars) ... Here's a song about a suicidal kid ... (crowd roars)
I do believe you have the kids wrong He just killed him self, he’s not a mass murdering kid lol
And your point is? Do you realize that this song is a huge support to all those who feel like Jeremy, I wonder how many were saved due to this song
@@joshcarbone6264
You're right. Jeremy only killed himself, although the widely screened video version on MTV implied he shot up the whole classroom.
@@Faks.09
It seems incongruous that Eddie leads into the song with seemingly trivial stage banter, "here we are in (Your City), woohoo," leading into a tremendously impactful song ("Jeremy").
@@JStarStar00 oh i've got it now
Where did Mike go?!
Matt? Co-vid
After mike
holy fuck when does the song start
Lol, I think it’s scheduled for late 2024.
They should record a new album with Dave Krusen! I bet it would inspire Mike, Stone, Jeff and Eddie to write better music like from the Ten era and would actually be good unlike their past several albums!
Dave A. Too 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
You people are obsessed with the goddamn drums. Funny thing is they don't care for that album that as much as the others
@@justuseubank9192 ok. Keep walking
Scuse-me? You guys can cry about the past all you want. Guess I should consider mice elf lucky I embrace this version
@@justuseubank9192 ok. Have a nice day
Mmmm
What in the hell would it take for these jerks to acknowledge abbruzese?
Falling outs tend to go that way. He's been acknowledged
@@justuseubank9192 hardly. The tried to rub his last name off from the vitalogy credits, re-released unplugged without his image or name (only 4 pics of the other members) they tried to cover up that he'd been replaced, they've released statements thanking and acknowledging all former band mates and contemporaries who've left or lent a hand in any way. And in the rnrhof they insisted on the induction of Krusen and listed Abbruzzese alongside Matt chamberlain only after pretending to have had nothing to do with his exclusion and making a public false invitation that would have required him to spend 25k just to attend. They even blocked him from accessing his own management and tried to stop him receiving royalties on songs he wrote. Eddie randomly decided he didn't like dave anymore because Dave took endorsement deals with dw, sabian and pro mark so told Stone to either fire dave or he'll quit. Even if their was a falling out, it's still incredibly unethical
You guys are passionate. I didn't mean they've acknowledged him like giving him Hall of Fame credit I just meant fleetingly name checked him in passing or things like that. It's not like he took it well either and hasn't badmouthed them
@@justuseubank9192 what has he ever done to any of them? In 2020 he said that eddie used to love pretending he hated fame because that was the most commercially viable persona to have. Other than that he's done nothing but wax lyrical about his former band mates and his time with them.
I don't have the stalker insider information. I just heard they bumped into each other and Dave reported that he was shorter than he remembered or something. Seemed like a silly jab. I also don't care, Eddie is why I pay attention to the band and it ends there for me. He's skilled at entertaining and uniting people and you agree or you wouldn't be here because of a drummer
Taking this terrible sound of "hello kit" drummer, at least wee saw a truly interpretation of ths music.
Low energy crowd in the pit. But I started seeing them in 92. People are just standing. I don’t get it.
Let me up in there
Every video that I have watched of Peral Jam..Eddie has spent to much time talking..what's up with that..no more mosh Pitt diving..too old...shut up and ROCK....I saw them twice back in the day and they delivered. Just saying...
Captain obvious here, to point out, well, the obvious... People grow old, can't stage dive like when young, people change, and they aren't on the stage to please you, but do what they do the way they want to, and your opinion is irrelevant since they are recognised as exceptional artists and you are a nobody. You are welcome.
@@inkjorbas But i am somebody I have an opinion just like everyone has an as___, and plus I helped these rockers get rich..well I watch their videos and consume their albums cds..t-shirts, underwear..you name it I paid for Eddie's Porsche..just saying..everyone has one...
Nah not for me. I like it way better with Cameron or atleast irons because I think the older songs sound cool sped up some. If I wanted to listen to Ten I'd stay home and listen to the album
Yeah your right everyone wants to spend hundreds of dollars to go to a show and have a band speed through all their songs at 140 bps. Cameron might be a nice guy but he has fucked up a great band.
you're in a small minority
You've been brainwashed. I suppose Ed's voice sounds better than ever to you too.
@@chrispartridge3080 nah I just prefer hearing the bands evolution and Tens been beat too death like a dead horse. Like I said if you want it to sound exactly like album why bother going to the show
@@chrispartridge3080 oh and definitely no brainwashing here because Eds roe wade rants in this show are just pure cringe to me. And I've loved this band for decades and I've never like Eds views
