I am thinking about doing this to my other Windows desktop I use to watch in my living room. Would have already done it but I can't figure out HDR running on Linux.
Incredible overview of the new Mint. Thank you for covering this. You've done a great job. I am so happy to have found your channel. So many features in Mint, makes me realize that I am not as fearful about Dec of 2025. I've got machines that are Win10 and can't go up to Win11 ... like i7-6700k (two or three of those). So, I'm gonna move my File Servers to Lint, I think.
Even though I'm 100% pro-Linux, if you're super deeply embedded in Windows it's really not hard at all to make those Windows 10 machines run 11. I've done it on two or three of my older machines that were previously Windows, then later changed to Linux, just because I wanted to see how Windows 11 would run on them. Spoiler: it wasn't good. But it worked, and it was easy with just a short registry edit.

That's great. But Linux mint doesn't have an aarch64 version, meaning you can't install it in a virtual machine on the new Macs M1, M2... or only in emulation mode which is very slow.
I wish Mint gave you an option at install to use something other than systemd. I don't care about the Linux philosophical problems with systemd, but I have a Dell 3189 that's SUPER slow to boot with systemd. I've got MXLinux on it which boots with SysV (actually switchable to systemd - if you really want it), and it's probably twice as quick at boot.
