It's nice to see Nigerians operating advanced systems. It would be nicer if those systems were manufactured in Nigeria. Is there a push in the Nigerian military to reduce reliance on foreign imports and manufacture its own planes and drones?
The Nigeria army manufacturers its own armour vehicle... The navy manufacturers its own war ships and patrol vessel....... The air force manufacturers its own drones and rockets.......tho they still buy drones from other countries but they still manufacturers there own drones..........all the needed is to start making its own aircraft.....and helicopters....
@@mark_hezekiah is 39 a joke to you... .....if Nigeria military is not advanced.....it means that north Korea which is 37 is not advanced........more over Nigeria is still a developing country which means it's not developed..... so Nigeria military are very advanced but not that advanced compared to the US and Russia
@@promisebethel2226 The Navy doesn't manufacture warships, patrol vessels are not warships. Pretty much all our drones are imported. An indigenous defence industry is a bit more complicated than you think. Besides China, France, USA and maybe Russia questionably no nation is capable of building a fighter jet completely on their own
What happened to double engine like su- 22, su- 35 I'm not talking about su-57 but there's mid-29 also, no civilized country is using this kind of aircraft anymore, the government should try to upgrade the military at least and not keep borrowing money up and down
We still have a long journey for the NAF listen to thi analysis ,No russian su class, no u.s f class no stealth class in fact no fifth or sixth generation air platforms , none reaching speeds up to mac 3 to 4..... very low numbers for a force strong of 18000 personals and obviously low number of trained airborne ready pilots...and certainly no initiatives yet for indigenously made aircraft.... Our aurforce is strong in west Africa but its no match compared to the west or east... if only we cand build research and development facilities to manufacture 70% t0 95% indigenously made air platforms...God bless Nigeria
@@victor237obiora5 it's not about dogfight... Knowledge is gained by learning and if we hope to have a capable air force then we have to learn the complexity and operation of modern advanced air platform.. maybe with combined knowledge we may one day be ready to manufacture indigenous air platform which can be exported aka revenue... And if we get to do that more pilots would be trained .... There are thousands of men and women serving in the Nigeria air force which if given the opportunity would elevate our air space integrity through their various unique potential by actually being able to go airborne.... It's not about dog fight but a country best be prepared this days ...
Typical people with no knowledge of how difficult it is to take out informal army (Boko Haram) who are mostly dressed as civilians making difficult to figure them out. Do you remember the U.S., Britain, France in fact the entire World invaded Afghanistan and spent over $2 trillion without winning the WAR? The Nigerian Army have done well in decimating Boko Haram who only attack soft targets and can’t pose any threats to Nigeria existence.
❤ wonderful, so amazing and I'm proud of my country to be Nigeria and kudos to Nigerian air force
Good but mot enough we want our military engineers to manufacture their equipment to reduce dependence on foreign countries this is a great nation
Nigeria is trying thier best

The Nigerian military is not advanced at all.
Still very primitive as compared to developed countries.

Jf 17 is very good
Atak helicopters are already in NAF platforms
Jf 17 is strong and powerful
It's out dated we paid for a plane that is using 1960 technology. When other African countries are using 4th generation.

Jf17 is 4th generation, but have the provisions available for upgrading to 5th generation.
What will nigeria airforce be doing with SU35,all our neighbors Bailey have an airforce,so whom are they going be engaging in dogfight?
