terrible weather? in the UK? NEVER! hahaha! loving the progress on the van, I aspire to the confidence you have for screwing stuff into your vehicle 😆 Looking forward to the next one. Keep up the amazing work!
Looking good my man! It certainly got a bit moist out there for a while! Put a dampener on a lot of my work too (pun intended). Looking forward to seeing how it comes along.
Hi I’ve seen both parts of your conversion now and I wondered what sorts of costs you’ve incurred. Also I’m guessing if you didn’t have the metal frame behind the drivers seat that would give (another person) more leg room too.
So the van won't pass an MOT without the metal frame, as it's where the seat belt for the centre seat attaches... I don't remember the exact cost, but it was probably around the £200-300 mark, not including the power bank.
I've never heard of that, but having checked the Gov.UK website, this is the only thing I can find: "DVLA is required to record vehicle details for road safety and law enforcement. The body type information held on the vehicle record must describe what a vehicle looks like in traffic. This description, as well as other distinguishing features, allows the police and other enforcement agencies to easily identify vehicles. The body type does not affect the insurance category of the vehicle, or have any effect on speed limits or other legislative requirements. It is only used for establishing vehicle appearance and identification."
Neat! Nice touch witht the wooden walls. The paint was a good choice too, made it feel less like a sauna and more like a cabin.
Glad you agree! 😅
That looks incredibly cozy already, can't wait to see how you'll tackle the bed, the trunk doesn't seem all that long 😁
Good progress my dude. It’s looking great so far

Confidence? Or foolishness? 🙂
I mean... it's a fine line between the two. It only becomes foolishness if you break something, right? 😆
Looking really good Phil.. Sorry to hear your bad news buddy😢.. Onwards and upwards.. Great video buddy 🖖 😁
looking really nice Phil. I'm proud of your progress. Keep up the great work.
Cheers Ally! :)
Looking good pal. Keep up the great work
Looks amazing .Good work Phil.
Thanks!
gutted for your roof 🙈. Might be worth getting a more mechanical fix to avoid a potential leak. Loving your work though 👍

UK weather has just been a pain recently, rain/sun/rain/sun. JUST PICK ONE AND STICK WITH IT! 😂
@@PJTForging and make sure it's sunshine! I want an actual summer before autumn kicks in!

Great job!! Looks really good 😊
Thanks Wade! 🤘
Really want to do this with mine when i get it.❤
Nice 😁👍
Man, your camera really didn't like that rain, never noticed the weird pulsing thing before that bit or with the previous videos?
Yeah, I'm not sure why it's randomly started doing that, I've noticed it in my last few videos. Dunno how to stop it though. :(

Including the fan, and all the extra bits and mattress’s??
🤠
Looks like rain again 😂
Standard. 😅
Building up the floor and cladding the roof... Did you lose much internal height?
Probably about 15cm total? I deliberately tried to do it "on the thin". 😅
@@PJTForging thanks for replying. Very helpful. Trying to figure my own cladding choices now
you live in England the weather is always shitty
Has the law changed? Back in the 60s if you did not have windows in the sides of the van you were restricted to 40 MPH.
