The only way the Communism these Globalists who Control our Government can achieve, is if Americans allow it. My husband was Russian, and HIS parents lived thru Stalin's rise. He grew up under Communism. While I miss him desperately, I'm thankful he's not alive to see this Country RUNNING towards the same thing it took him years to escape from. Work and stash away. Don't stop!

Yesterday my husband went to work at 8:00 am, as he had for 33 years at the same company! He was told his position had been eliminated. He turned 67 March 3 , but it had nothing to do with age. The company hired someone 2 months ago, age 33 and have been training him to do my husband’s job! Here’s the deal, don’t insult his Intelligence!! Never written up with spotless record and a company man and I’m so proud of him! His severance offer is interesting and they are waiting on his signature! We know it’s a blessing and we are adjusting! We know God has this and we will be okay ❤️

I’m blessed to work from home which allows me to be with my kids. And the Lord is so good!!!!!! So this will put me between 80-90 hours per week. I plan on putting every extra penny towards the mortgage to get paid off as soon as possible. Anyway that my good news I just had to share.

We homeschooled for three years after the “Vid”. A job was dropped into my lap in a Christian School where my girls are going to attend. They interviewed us and said, “Do you believe men can be women and vice versa?” We said “No”. The dean smiled. Then asked “Do you have any issues learning biblical principals that are the foundation of our belief?” “No” then she said, “Good. Women are women and men are men. They can’t change. Men and women are to be married. Not men and men etc” that was the first question she asked us and I was so happy. They are so nice. Now I can make money, have kids go to school, and keep my ear open to the news in the school Part of me feels like a failure not homeschooling anymore but a stronger side of me feels like this is what I’m supposed to do.

Many are gonna be forced to sell homes. And we’re building rentals like madmen these days. Did a 400bed unit for last year for a college campus and now a small 23 unit single and double bedroom 3 flr unit. Gonna have to ask what they’re going to charge for each style. Single is prob 1000sqft plus and double is 1500sqft or so. I’d assume 2k/mo ballpark. 😮

Hello, I'm A.L.I.C.E. As of Friday 5/2, I will be officially unemployed. The owner has decided to close the doors on his 25yr old business. I worked for a Trucking/Freight company. 25 OTR drivers, 6 in house employees, including Mng, dispatchers, Payroll, and AP/AR. On site Heavy duty mechanics. The insurance rates have more than doubled and the owner has decided it's way too much $$ and not enough revenue to withstand 750k for insurance. My pay was enough to cover my bills, but not much more. Unemployment in NC maxes out at $350 a week. This is that 1 emergency moment. I'm 1 month away from not having any income to pay my livable bills. Pray and keep praying.

Everybody I know is struggling. My oldest son and his wife used to have a little extra money. This past year, they had to sell off a Bobcat, a mini excavator, and a dually. They needed the washer and dryer moved to the basement. Electrical quote was $2400, and plumbing was $2200. We're doing it next weekend for $540 in materials. I need heater core, AC evaporator, front arms and ball joints, shocks, tie rods, and frame replaced from the cab back on my 24 year old truck. Heat/cooling runs over $2000, suspension runs over $1200, and frame work would be nearly $6000, if I took it somewhere. I'm doing the repairs for less than $1500. If I hadn't learned skills and purchased tools when things were good, we'd be in dire straits. I worked 13 hours yesterday for a nearby city, and 11 hours today. I'm watering my apple and peach trees by flashlight right now. Don't know how much more I can take on, but I don't see any other way.

Of course illegal immigrants can get FS, but not USA citizens. I am fortunate in the fact I do not have any credit cards, only my car pymt and insurances. I have lived frugally my entire life, shop at thrift stores for clothing. Grocery budget is $200.00 per month. I have about that left for the month after paying my utilities and car. 59 year old widow. I'm 4k away from being debt free. I'm a nurse and just picked up 40 hrs of OT/month. My living expenses are LOW! Putting the overage into my old age account. I can't call it a retirement account because I'm healthy and have no plans to retire. The younger nurses are too worried about their "work life balance". Granted...they have kids to get to school, ball practice, parent teacher conferences etc. My kids are grown. I'll take the OT all day every day.

That 29% that are one step away from poverty don’t include the ones who are already living in poverty while working. My husband and I have been married for thirty-nine years. We lived with hand me down furniture until we saved enough to buy new. We never put anything on a credit card unless we could pay the bill in full each month. We never had more than one car payment at a time. We kept every car we owned for a minimum of ten years. We used those years without car payments to pay down our mortgage. We spent our vacation time visiting our families, as we lived a great distance from our parents. I am so glad we remained fiscally responsible all these years. It eases my mind. We are in a position to be of some help to those who are less fortunate.
I agree with you on the home schooling. I was a public school teacher for 35 years. I retired in 2022. I recommend home schooling to everyone who asks my opinion on the matter. Public schools aren’t what they used to be even 20 years ago. Too much time is wasted on disciplinary issues.
It’s very sad to watch our country deteriorate so quickly.

I worked with a woman who was picking up 2 coworkers every day to bring them to work. They both made more money than her, but they would not do anything to secure their own transportation. One was spending a ton of money on manicures, expensive purses and clothes, trips, you name it. She was eventually fired because she didn't make it to work when her "transporter" wound up in the ER. The other had to finally buy a car when her "transporter" changed jobs. It amazes me at how others will abuse someone because they want to spend their money on their wants instead of their needs. Take care of business and spend your money wisely.

We went to Sam's yesterday and I bought three roseteria chickens for $5 each and came home and deboned them. I got 17 packages of meat for the two of us. I checked the price of two uncooked chickens was $12 and they were smaller than the cooked chickens I got. I was glad to see some prices went down.

I’m so so thankful my son moved in with me in 2017. We have all his $30,000+ credit card bills paid off. Now he has a little more than that saved. 😬 he went to Walmart yesterday - he has Mondays off - and came home with 10 items to put back. Nine cans and some deodorant which he will definitely need when the shtf. I’m so thankful and very blessed that I have such a good son, we work so well together and we pool resources and all the chores that need done around here. We live in my grandparents home, which is also a blessing. Wish I could say I have no worries but it’s a constant worry these days with the stunts our illustrious (yeah right) leader(s) are pulling. Seriously tho, who is truly running the country? Sometimes I think kindergartners could do a better job. I’m doing my best to talk to everyone about voting for the right person, for putting food and water back, to buy plenty of lead, which to me is THE most precious metal right now. And to pray, pray, pray. Y’all all stay safe, head on a swivel and hang on for dear life. They’re taking us on a ride I don’t think any are going to enjoy. ❤️

I don't have to imagine. I have a friend and s/he is now living in a spare room with a buddy from highschool. They hadn't spent time together in almost 20 years and s/he showed up homeless and broke on his doorstep. If this friend hadn't have welcomed them into their home, where would they be? They have a job, but it's 4 hours a week. They have to count how many hot dogs they eat out of the $2 package to make sure it lasts the week. They drink all the free coffee they can get at work to keep hunger pains at bay. The only splurge they have is a cat that they buy cat food for weekly and can barely afford that even though it's just $6. Their total world assets are a computer, some clothing, and a few books. This person is older than me and I am 44. My heart breaks for them.

Whatever she did to correct them they would do double when they got home. They all have told that they knew if I said it , it would be done. They said just hearing and knowing always made them think twice about doing something.

Patara - I know you know how to grow potatoes but here's a couple of tricks (I live in one of the potato capitals of the world):
    1) put eyes down into the ground (not pointing up). Those are the roots so why make it harder for the roots to head down into ground.
    2) MI Gardner suggests adding alfalfa pellets to the ditch for extra nitrogen / nutritional value.
    3) Add sulfer pellets to the ditch. Adds a protective pest barrier and some nutrients.
    Hopefully this helps someone.

You would think I was a spoiled little brat, but let me tell you, my parents were wonderful, but they had NO problem spanking me for misbehaving or even rolling my eyes. ( got a real whooping for that!) My Dad used so much psychological warfare on me, that I used his same tactics on my kids. He would inform me that I had to go to his closet and pick the belt to be spanked with. Now do I pick the thick leather one or the skinny leather one??? Didn't matter. Still hurt. I miss both of them everyday. I was raised with a lot of love. We were poor, but I respected and loved them both.

My kids are not big collectors of " stuff" none are in debt and all work hard, sometimes a little too hard..I am a proud mumma!
