i am so glad that fender is finally catering to metal rhythm guitarists with three string guitars, now i can't wait for the 1 string variant of 8 string guitars
Thats actually kida awesome. I have only 2 fingers and have been wanting to build a 3/4 or 7/8 size 3 or 4 string. When I started playing again after wrecking my hand, I got an Ibanez Mikro and its just a little small.
I went to an Ozz-Fest back around 2000. Some dude threw a bag of weed up on stage during Ozzy's set. Ozzy picked it up, and put it in his pocket. He thanked the dude.
I think he's probably still there. This video was probably made early in the week and scheduled to be made public at the normal time. I'm not sure if you've posted videos on here or not, but you can keep an upload unlisted until a date/time you specify 🙂
Saw Metallica and Pantera at MetLife Stadium Friday Ola! As well as Lamb of God and Pantera Wednesday outside of Philly!! It was epic! You definitely convinced a old fan who saw them(Pantera)in 2000 to make the pilgrimage! 💪 incredible!! Absolutely wonderful to see everyone come out to hear songs that I thought I would never hear live again! Plus Metallica really brought it after Pantera! 2024 Pantera and The Haunted!USA Tour! Make it Happen brotha!🤘
I am an old bastard too and saw Pantera in 1996 Saginaw, MI. It was awesome. Biohazard opened for them and they kicked ass too. My first metal concert. Got pinned near one of Dime’s speakers. It was like my ear was a virgin and I got fisted by George Foreman.
I almost missed Megadeth in my hometown, I found out about their show because of the UA-cam 'nearby shows' tooltip of all things! Got there in the end though and it rocked🤘
I really felt the "Ola figuring s%!t out" part... Sometimes I sit in front of Cubase and wonder why I don´t get any input until I find out that my dumb ass just forgot to plug the guitar in.
I do this CONSTANTLY. I’ll spend ten minutes freaking out thinking something in my rig has shit the bed… only to find out I haven’t plugged in the guitar itself lol. Or turning the power off on my amp without turning off standby first 😂
I saw Megadeth like 15 years ago, during a song my buddy(who was belligerent) threw a lit cigarette at Dave, it went into his shirt collar, Dave reached into his shirt and somehow grabbed it(I'm sure it burned a little) then he flicked it straight back at my friend and said "don't make me come down there and kick your a**!" It was an awesome show 🤘
I saw Megadeth in the 90s with opening act Stone Temple Pilots. Mustaine stopped the show mid-song and threatened to leave the stage because 1 guy was flipping him off. The only thing more bizarre was being at a Megadeth show and Scott Weiland took the stage in a woman's sun dress with lipstick scribbled all over his face and screaming into a megaphone.
I was at a Megadeth show in I think 04 and some kid in the crowd threw a hoodie and hit Dave during the song "Kick the Chair". The song stopped. Dead silence... Security booted the alleged culprit from the venue. Dave then said, "good... I didn't want to go to jail tonight!", and the show went on from the pick stroke it left off, lmao. Good times!!!
Mustaine has always had fits about people throwing stuff onstage. He even did a little public service announcement thing on MTV back in like the 90s where he lectures people about not throwing stuff at artists and how you better not throw shoes cause he's gonna have people watching the crowd leaving and get anybody missing a shoe. So idk why he'd be saying this shit now.
No wait I heard his words now it's just his HUGE ego I guess; I saw a video of Lemmy a while back where his hand was in bandages(I think something throw a bottle at him?)and was talking about the same issue, so in Mustain's logic, Motorhead managed to put on a bad show, which would defy the laws of our reality.
Falling into Infinity is an underrated gem in the DT discography. My introduction to Dream Theater was the album that came out before it - Awake. Still my favorite to this day, but in reality all of their albums are fantastic.
I wanted to pay my respects to the french guitarist Neogeofanatic who joined the Solar Guitars family just a couple of days ago ! It doen't seems like a big deal but this dude has singlehandedly carried the french guitar game for years (even before Tina S began making millions of views), he took a great part in my inspiration to begin learning guitar, he's insanely talented, very honest (even if it means being brutally honest) and he seems like an absolute chill guy overall. If he endorse a brand, it's a huge seal of quality (he wouldn't endorse a half-assed brand). I congrated him for endorsing solar and I congrats the solar staff for convinving him to join the boat ! I dream so badly about a Solar NeoGeoFanatic signature guitar now, i wish it becomes reality one day🤞
Saw Havok and Toxic Holocaust with IAM on Saturday, best show I've ever been to! Tons of stage diving... I can understand why an artist would get scared of fans on stage though...
GHS Nickel Rockers are my JAM! I LOVE those strings. I had always been a GHS Boomers guy for years over Ernie Ball, and when the Nickel Rockers came out, as well as Burnished Nickel Rockers (or at least once I discovered them anyway) I switched to them and never looked back. They also have the thincore and as you had, big core variants, as well as SubZero (which I am not sure the marketing gimmick on the SubZeros, but they play well for me anyway, I just tried them to try them, and noticed no difference aside of maybe a little harder to break as I TRIED to break them without success). GHS are a great string set at great prices. I still use Boomers as well and those go on my "beaters", and at around $4 a set of 6 in a 6 string set bulk package, you can't beat them!
At 00:00 on 12th of August it will be Perseids meteor shower peak, I doubt that the stage will be up that late, but imagine if someone was playing! It is estimated 110 meteors per hour
I think metropolis pt.2 scenes from a memory is a great place to start. Really gives you the whole picture of the band in my opinion. My first hearing of dream theater was the Awake album. Friend of mine had the album and didn't like it but thought I would. She was correct because one listen and I was hooked. After that I picked up a change of season and that was it. Life long fan ever since.
I remember seeing Megadeth at a few outdoor concerts back in the early '90s, and Dave wasn't such a fan of stuff being thrown on stage. At every outdoor show I saw back then, the crowd would tear up the sod in the lawn section, and throw it around. Some of it would inevitably wind up on stage, and at one show between songs, a clod hit him straight in the guitar while he was on stage complaining about the grass flying around. Can't remember if it was the Clash of the Titans tour, or when they & Pantera opened for Skid Row, or maybe even a different show. He stopped the show and walked off stage. He eventually came back, but was clearly pissed off. Did he think those people throwing stuff around were unhappy with his performance? Pretty sure they were doing it because they were drunken idiots at a metal show that banned moshing.
A stream for the Haunted?! Oh yeah! 🎉 stoked! The Dead Eye was one of the first REAL heavy albums I heard in high school. Would love to see you do The Prosecution! probably not on the set list but it's such a killer song!
I got to meet Mick and Jim last year while they were recording with Joe Barresi and even sold them a few of the pedals I make. Nice guys, super gear heads.
Falling into infinity was an incredible album but Scenes From a Memory came out, life changing, maybe their GOAT album. Sorry but some nerds will disagree and most true fans will understand. And then also, Six degrees, my favorite. I had that CD store discovery surprise memory. Whenever they would open with Glass Prison in the early 2000s was unstoppable
I saw Triumph years ago, Rick Emmet got hit by a flying bottle. He finished the song and said, "you're all my friends, if I see someone fucking with you, I'd kick their ass." I saw the guy that threw the bottle get his ass whopped and knocked out. Yeah, so that works.
Q: If your on a budget can you use a Line 6 Helix or any other Multi pedal for Live Performances or does it have to have a certain standard of outputs, power, etc..
@@bazej9252 Ok that's what I was wondering because it's direct output. XLR probably better quality sound. It's just more convenient to not need all the gear just a pedal, lol. If only they could do that for the drummer, hehe.
Be prepared. Like a Boy Scout. That is bad ass dude. I feel less alone for keeping gear on me at all times. I am just a hobbyist of music. Tja Ola. Cheers mate.
I'm a little disappointed Ola didn't imitate Mustaine's voice when he read his hypocritical comments, I love Ola's impression of him, it's hilarious. If Dave was held to his own standard then he'd be dodging beer bottles every night due to his "singing".

Jesus! The blues was created on 3 and 4 string cigar box guitars. I have 2 cigar boxes they sound amazing.
I went to an Ozz-Fest back around 2000. Some dude threw a bag of weed up on stage during Ozzy's set.

Ozzfest '07: A lot of bags thrown on stage!
Can't sleep here in Austin, really happy to have this to entertain us all!
6:03 Will it chug? Seeing Ola doing an intro with a baby guitar is beyond metal!
THIS
Do it Ola!!! WILL IT CHUG?!?
This would be sweet and so damn cute. Homie could make it chug. I think Ola could string up a broom glued to an empty milk jug and make it chug. Lol
Being Tha News' old intro back!
The intro is amazing! You're on fire! You must be feeling extra inspired from the camp. :)

I think The Count of Tuscany is the best introduction for people who are just getting into Dream Theater.

Good work Ola. Nice and clean and organized 😊😅😅

Pretty hypocritical of Mustaine to say that because he's gotten mad so many times by fans throwing shit on stage at him.
Never mind the notorious Dave gets mad about a laser pointer viral video that went around about a decade ago.
