I had an 83 Dualcab hilux 4wd with a 253 Holden V8 with thermo fans and 33x12.5x15 Maxxis Mulder's that was used about unstoppable in the mud. My last Hilux was also an 83 dualcab with a 400mm chassis extension but a 2wd. It also had a 4L Lexus V8 (non-turbo), auto and a 3.9 geared 9 inch diff and it went like scalded cat. I demoralised quite a few people that thought their cars were hot stuff, lol.
I had an R100 with a worn out motor that I had to clutch start (not rough compression for the starter motor) but it still left my 192 powered EH van for dead, lol.
@@SouthernCrossMotors it does fit in is200 plenty of guys that done it, but if ur gonna make bigboy power the stock is200 transmission will shit itself to pieces so. need to mount better tranny
Wow, I like his selection for the next build. A MK2 Supra with a built twin turbo 1uz and totally stock/clean elsewhere. Yeah that sounds sick. I've never been in a MK2, but I really like the look/really enjoy the MK3. Currently swapping a 3uz into mine, but boost is a bit out of my budget.
Nice ute glad to see that you stayed with the Toyota platform.👍🤘
Prob the most underrated V8 ever made! Awesome 👏 Super clean build.
💯
Early 1uz makes good power and torque on stock internals. ❤️ that turbo sleeper.
That's one tidy engine bay!

Dorito power 🥸 but how good are EH’s just quietly
wondering what computer you use to control the air/fuel mix?
That is an awesome 😎.
Just curious, does it still run the Toyota gearbox? If so what is done to it?
A340 Toyota auto
@Steve Johnson This engine would be a perfect setup in a IS200 😀

@@alexanderdanielsson6049 I would use the LS gearbox that came with engine. One day lol.
@@SouthernCrossMotors better of doing all the hassle before breaking stuff and having to do it anyway👍
I've found in close to 50 years of driving that a longer wheelbase gives more stable handling.
Nice!!! Cheers for the comment
